IDPA Match - Music City Tactical Shooters 7/7/12

If the competitor can safely handle a firearm and follow simple range commands(Finger, STOP, etc), they are welcomed. -

It really is not being a "rebel" with my dress attire(blue jeans and tee shirt)that day, I just stopped wearing suits and ties to executive meetings. It is frowned upon but not cause for termination. Other places being a rebel can be costly(fines, etc). Them days are well behind me. Geez, Brad John actually thought I cut the pony tail off. Way to ruin a joke. -

It did hurt my feelings and I realized that to fit in with the "in" crowd, I must look like and act like all others. It gave me a complex. Brad, You saw me today at Philips Deli, tell them my eyes were red and still crying with shame. -

Please do not fall down this time........... -
Missed all the regular faces but loved seeing the new ones. This was a bigger setup of the man vs man than we did in the past but absolutely loved shooting against better competitors. Learned a lot about match flow on this day. Many thanks goes out to everyone that showed up on a really hot day! Brian Smith was the winner of the man vs man shoot off. An engraved plaque and money will be ready soon.

Well put! The competitive aspect is not there for me anymore like in the early years of my shooting hobby. I enjoy shooting with like minded people and close friends more. Whether I win or lose, I enjoy my time every time. Even on those days I just work on the range. We are a club with a lot of new shooters that visit the range. When they come back on a regular basis, they are exposed to better techniques being used, thus getting better themselves.

OK, a 45 is a disadvantage....that is what I am going to shoot then. The caliber of a gun is not the disadvantage, it is someone's shooting ability under pressure. They may be able to bulleye shoot at an indoor range all day. When the buzzer goes off some people freeze up. This is where they find their shooting weakness and learn what they need to work on to get better. Don't be afraid, every match up will be at random. Yes you could shoot against a master level shooter or you could shoot against a new shooter also. Everyone starts somewhere. REGARDLESS it will be fun and a GREATday on the range with new friends and like minded people.

Bieda just txt me that he will be there. Tad excused himself this morning. Something about shooting too much and his front door locks being changed(like I believe him.....LOL). NTPS guys will be there, regular guys and gals from MCTS wil be in attendance. Can't ask for a better day at the range with friends.

The club has had many homes over the years. The club was originally formed officially in October 2001 according to club charter on file with the Secretary of the State. I did not start the club is a correct statement. Robert has been a long time member with the club in the past and the future. He is a valuable member of the shooting community and the area clubs as well as Chip. He and Chip did vote in favor of the change. I have worked for the range over 5 years week in and week out. It is a lot to do and i believe a lot of people do not realize that a club going from an average of 11 people at a match to 50-60 plus at a match is hard work thus needing dedicated people working them for setup, tear down, match designs, promotions with new shooters, etc. For the last 4 years, I honestly do not believe ANYONE worked harder for the club on or off the range. I missed many matches in the past cleaning up the range taking a 4 shooting bay facility to a 7 shooting bay facility while others shot matches. It was not handed to me, I earned it with my sweat. No big deal taken, you are stating the facts. Another fact, you cost me a few grand because my daughter seen you Zombie rifle. She wants one now and I cannot say no. -
It is not just once. Everyone you will be going against will be at random. You and Wanda may have to go against one another. Rules: Music City Tactical Shooters – Man vs Man Steel • Best 2 out of 3 Elimination runs in each bay. We will pick the bay that you will start in at random to make sure that the bays start out even. • Competitor shooting order at the bay will be by random drawing by MCTS representative. • Shooters must present ticket to shoot the bay. Tickets are $10.00 each(Limit of 3 tickets per competitor). Winner keeps ticket and loser relinquish their ticket. Competitors pick their shooting bay after the initial random drawing at registration. When all of your tickets are gone, you are done. • No limit on the amount of magazines one can carry. Iron Sights weapons fully loaded. Optic weapons 10 rounds max capacity to keep things even. • If you run out of ammo without all of the steel targets down, you lose. If both competitors run out of ammo, you both lose one elimination credit. • Fastest time with all steel down wins! • Divisions: None • Classifications: None, Heads up • The last 8 people competing will be in the Final Showdown(with daylight permitting). Fastest time with all steel down wins. Single Elimination drawn at random. Final winner will receive a plaque celebrating their win!

I asked for that a long time ago. I wished people can close their own threads. -

I have done everything I can for the range out of the goodness of my heart as well as others in the past. I love the shooting sports and will continue to do what is best for the club. Thank you for the information but I refer all legal matters to the club lawyer. If that someway offends you, you may contact the club lawyer: Corbett and Crockett attorneys. I am sure that they will discuss what is written thus far and see if other legal matters like slander/libel has been involved. I am glad you are taking a pro-active approach in other people's concerns. I do not care what you believe about the business dealings of a this organization as a non-member, thus entitled to no explanation. Non-profit is how I asked the club lawyers to keep it. If you do not like the way something is ran, don't go to it and find somewhere else to go for your shooting needs. The business nor the drama will not be missed! You are more than welcomed to build your own thing and spend your dollars how ever you wish. There is no reason to discuss any more matters with you. Our problem existed because you did not wish to follow directions from a club representative about something you did as a non-member and was not entitled to. Then you were approached by two Executive Committee members and still did not think the range rules pretained to you and stated "what are you going to do, give me a ticket". From this point onward, you will not be welcomed at the range for any reason. This is too much drama to deal with and I no longer have to have this headache present. Thank you for your time and consideration.
