Upcoming MATCH: Zombie Match (Head Shots Only) - 7 Stages SATURDAY October 20th, 2012 Round count: Unknown pistol minimum Bring any pistol caliber handgun or carbine. 1 shot to the head necessary for designated Zombie targets. 3 shots anywhere for "infected" targets. All handgun competitors are heads up regardless of caliber. Carbines will be in separate division. Most competitors at Music City Tactical Shooters for a local match is 87(Last year's Zombie Match). You can dress up in a costume as long as it does not interfere with your drawing from a holster for handguns. Free match for the best costume! Hope to see you there!

Changes to the stage design took place today. I will have printed copies for the safety officers on match day. Practice time was only used by 3 people(one person using a chrono toward the very end of the day).

Thank you Rickey. Great shooting with you today and glad we had the competition between one another. The conversations were great. Glad you accepted the offer earlier and see that you representing the club at big matches will be a good thing. Glad the rain held off and it was sunny on the range at the start of the match. It was a challenging match, this was not a hoser match. Expect more matches like this in the future. Our goal it to get better as shooters, we are a shooting club. Expect harder stages at the next match!

I will try to fake sick at work on Thursday afternoon(Friday is month end processing) to begin setup of the match. The activated targets on the stages will be difficult to setup/finish on match day. Additional help is encouraged.

Shot some steel today, missed more than I hit. Thank you Chandler for the holster and ammo loan. Good thing today range is cleaned and I got a new M&P from a good friend for a good deal. Next match is an IDPA match to get ready for the Tri-States. I will see if it will be the M&P or the Witness.

Can be purchased on the range.

I will be on the range in the morning at 8 AM to begin setup of the stages. I know of one other confirmed person with possible 3 more. If anyone is in the area that can lend a few moments(many hands make light work), John and I would appreciate the help. Remember, Allan's lovely wife is bringing donuts....no coffee for breakfast on Sunday morning.

You can shoot shotgun or pistol or both(different entries). I purchased 5 dozen Krispy Kreme donuts that will be available to all competitors for FREE! I know some of you will be pigs but try to restrain yourself and allow everyone to get some. 1 dozen comes to me.

Help us celebrate the new fiscal year in style. The past year has brought many good aspects and shooting experiences to the new shooters and members of the club. We will be going to the tougher stage designs to help everyone be better prepared for the sanctioned events in TN and surrounding states. New Shooter Briefing: 8:30 AM Shooter Meeting: 8:45 AM Match Start Time: 9:00 AM Match Fees have not changed with the new year. We have approx 35 plus events scheduled for 2012-2013 fiscal year. New membership will start 09/01. Members only parking on top of the hill and are eligible to practice days as part of the benefits. Also members receive match fee discounts and can practice after each match on steel targets for at least 1 hour after each match. Membership form on website has not been changed but will be present by tomorrow evening including new club by-laws.
