  1. You can use a TX star in a match or even a plate rack, just use it as hard cover with cardboard behind it.   Absolutely ZERO input in the current rule book or addedum that states that the TX star is illegal.  It is based on how you use these materials in the stage like a prop.     For instance:  Stage COF   Stage Description:  You are at a local USPSA match when bank robbers trying to escape the police run in your direction.  Defend yourself.  You go from USPSA mindset(including all the props that a typical USPSA stage design has) to a defensive scenario.    Note:  Now we all know bank robbers would not run in the direction of gun fire so the stage really is not realistic or plausible.  I have seen sanctioned events have this.  Not realistic(could it happen yes, likely nope) but fun to shoot and within the all legal IDPA rules.
  2. Rickey,   There was only one other competitor in that division.  The way of all the talk with ban on weapons, you might actually get a match bump in the revolver division.
  3. The next "scheduled" IDPA classifier is June 1st.  Schedules can change based on various reasons:   MCTS Schedule for 2013: http://www.mctsclub.com/CurrentMatchResultsMain.html
  4. Weather looks fine for the first month of the year.......go figure? Sat Jan 5 46° 31° Cloudy Chance of rain: 20% Wind: S at 8 mph
  5. We do the same concept about three times a month at Music City Tactical Shooters.
  6. Since this is an IDPA event ran with IDPA rules, all clubs are required to follow the same rules (rule book or addendum) provided.   C. A Match Director may allow a handicapped or mobility-challenged shooter to take one or multiple PEs (at the MD’s discretion) rather than perform an act required by the CoF (kneeling, prone, etc.) as long as the shots can be taken safely without performing the said act. If the shots cannot be taken safely without performing the required act, then the competitor should receive a DNF for that stage and the stage scored according to the rules on page 46.   I do not think this will be a problem you will encounter at the indoor match.
  7. 02/16/13 will be rescheduled date for the multiple gun match.
  8. We will be hosting an IDPA classifier match this weekend.   3 to 4 complete classifier setups   Upcoming MATCH: IDPA Classifier - SATURDAY January 5th, 2013 Round count: 90 pistol rounds minimum Only IDPA members will be allowed to reshoot a stage per IDPA rules Click Here for CoF Description Click Here for Stage Setup Description
  9. This match will be rescheduled to either the 3rd weekend or the 3rd weekend in Feb.
  10. Welcome to the forum and hope to see you at the range soon!
  11. There is no way to setup a decent two gun match on the day of the event and not be extremely exhausted.  With a few core members going to be out this weekend, it will need to be mostly setup tomorrow.    There is another option:  Cancel the shotgun/pistol match and run an easier setup match like an IDPA classifier.  I am not in favor of that but will make adjustments as necessary.  I will post something no later than 6:30 AM tomorrow morning.
