  2. Scores posted to the website:  http://www.mctsclub.com/Match%20Results/2013/2013-02-02.htm   The scores were done yesterday but I was so tired I fell asleep early.  I apologize for the delay.
  3.   Glad to hear!  We shoot rain, shine, snow, sleet, hail.  We do pause(for a short time) for active lightening.
  4.   Course of Fire:  http://www.mctsclub.com/Intro_Match.pdf   If they do not have a holster they can start from the low ready.  A pistol bag/shooting bag will be required to put the pistol in immediately after the course of fire is completed.     Will be good to see you on the range Chandler.
  5.     I somewhat understand this comment.  You drinking that night when you wrote this?   The TEAM MCTS shooting team will be in attendance to help open minded individuals get better.    MCTS embriodered shooting vests that were ordered will be at the range this weekend also.    Looking forward to seeing a bunch of new faces at the range this weekend!  6K 9mm rounds of ammo will be available for those having trouble finding it.  Still working on 40S&W/45ACP.
  6.   Cannot think of a better way to break in a marriage then on the range, it will truly test the relationship.  Think of it as an early honeymoon.
  7. MATCH: Intro to Competition Shooting - Saturday February 2nd, 2013 Round count: 115 pistol rounds minimum 5 Stage match: 1 Limited, 1 Vickers, 1 Steel Challenge, 1 Run n Gun, 1 Outlaw Steel     For those that are having trouble finding ammo, I have secured factory 9mm ammo to sell at the range at cost.  This is not for hoarders but for shooters attending the match.  100 rounds to shoot the match and another 100 rounds so that you will have it for the next match.  I am working on 40 S&W and 45 ACP.  Don't let ammo being limited be the excuse to enjoy a great day of shooting.
  8. Not really a win with an Open gun.......love ya Ryan!

  10. Call me (615.332.5206) and I can discuss your ammo needs to shoot the match.
  11. Under the main home page there is a tab labelled as Matches.  Look for Times/Fees    http://www.mctsclub.com/timesfees.html
  12. There is nothing wrong with this setup for any IDPA, steel, USPSA type competition.  Glad you will be "christening" your G17 at our range.
  13. John,   The COF does state that the weapons are holstered with hands above shoulders.  A rimfire weapon does have the ability to not knock down the polish plates/plate rack in stage 4 and stage 5.
  14. COF for the Steel match:  http://www.mctsclub.com/January2013_Steel_Match.pdf
  15. Match COF used:  http://www.mctsclub.com/MCTS_IDPA_01192013.pdf
  16. Upcoming MATCH: Steel Match - Sunday January 27th, 2013 Round count: 75(or 100) pistol rounds minimum 5 Stage match with 3 to 4 strings each stage   Hope to see you there for our 1st steel match of 2013!
  17. Scores are updated on the website:  http://www.mctsclub.com/Match%20Results/2013/2013-01-19.htm   I will post the COF on the web once I put the bay numbers and stages that were used in the correct order.
  18. Fun day.  I will have scores on the website by 9am tomorrow morning along with the COF shot.  It was hard to determine which stages to shoot in each bay due to the recent weather(rain) the previous week.  Hope everyone present had a good time.  Relaxing day!  Hope to see everyone back there soon.    Next match will be a steel match.  This match will be a 5 stage - 3 (possibly 4) string per stage.  All strings will count.  I will try to set the steel so that it will not fall so stages will be quicker.  I am working on the stage design and should have this posted tomorrow also.
  19. Music City Tactical Shooters will be hosting a 5 stage IDPA style match.  The weather has not been kind for the last few days.  The COF will be based on each bay condition.  Setup will take place at 7AM on Saturday.  Any assistance from members and guests will be helpful to ensure we start on time.   5 Stages:  Each stage will be challenging from MM to MA level.  Different options to shoot the stage. Round count:  Less than 100 rounds     We anticipate to being done early for those that are scheduled for other gun appreciation events to attend.  Hope to see you there!
  20. 02/16/13 will be rescheduled date for the multiple gun match.
  21. Good to hear.  We shoot rain, snow or shine.  We pause during active lightening.  Course description is finished but want to look over again tonight before posting it on the web to make match announcements.  Let us know of anything you need.  We are always happy to help.
  22.   I can be there and help where needed but can never compete in the matches.  The TEAM MCTS and BOD are sponsored shooters of a bullet company and we are only allowed to shoot reloaded ammunition from our company for 2013 shooting season.
  23. the percentages come into play when you are actually using the TX star as shooting targets.  You can use steel hard cover and there is no percentage taken into account.    Remember stage 3 at the Music City Cup II and a few years back at Tri-States, there was plate racks used as hard cover on a limited stage with cardboard targets behind the plates?  It could have been TX stars doesn't matter(plate racks are longer and cover more area).   Last year, Tri-States had the smoke and hope steel challenge props in a stage.  5 steel and behind each steel a partially exposed cardboard target.
  24. I have been called MANY things.  But it was still legal......LOL
