Music City Tactical Shooters- USPSA November 2014
HOGNUT replied to HOGNUT's topic in Competitive Shooting Sports
Called a MCTS member while driving to the range and he told me about the weather there. We will not be able to keep the targets dry enough even with the plastic covering on them. The match will not take place today. Hope everyone stays dry today. -
MCTS will be hosting a 3 gun event this Saturday (11/22/14) in Dickson, TN. The MD has 5 great challenging fast paced stages ready. Based on the posted COF and recalculating the stage 4 description using 2 round per paper and 1 round for each steel I get. Rifle 61, Pistol 76, Shotgun 56 bird, 4 slug

Great match Robert. It was a good test of speed based on stage design. Love me some L10. We will be back tomorrow. If plans change in the morning, please look at TGO thread, USPSA@Music City Tactical Shooters FB page, TN Competitive Shooter FB page and Music City Tactical Shooter FB page. -
Robert Standley is the chairperson for IDPA.

I believe the BUG Nationals is ran by S&W not HQ so it would be the MDs responsibility (in the grand scheme of things) to check all the shooters. Kinda like GADPA so I am interested to see if HQ levies the heavy hand on their primary sponsor.

Dates, prices, location(s) and type of match will be placed on www.mctsclub.com next week.
-
GSSF matches are only for Glock shooters.
-
There will be a Tuesday and Thursday night soon. The day was mandated by the facility. Sorry John can't change it. Note; There are zero plans to run one on a Monday or Friday as to NOT affect outdoor shooting clubs. There are some clubs not fair weather clubs. There will be a mix of IDPA, USPSA and GSSF indoor matches I am planning.

I would like to introduce everyone to the Music City (MCTS) Indoors. We will be adding the venue to www.mctsclub.com website next week. This is the first of three indoor matches under the MCTS umbrella. Our goal is to provide our shooters(customers) the best possible experience. While we realize that everyone cannot make it out to our outdoor facilities in Dickson, we want to provide another opportunity for consideration to your already busy schedules. Starting in December 2014, we will be having an indoor match in Gallatin, TN on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday night starting at 6PM. Registration will begin at 5:30pm and shooters' meeting at 5:45pm. Please watch our website, TN Competitive Shooters FB page, and the IDPA_Music City Tactical Shooters FB page.

None of the divisions are added. They are seeing if members want one of them in the future.
-
BUG will be the new CCP..........reloads can now be done but up to MD to decide if they want to require reloads or 5 shot max CoFs.
-
I know what the answer should be as well as everyone else. I am waiting to see if the recommendations are going to be executed.

I forgot to take the Outlaw Steel matches off of the website for November and December when I created the initial 2014 schedule. I guess my laziness is your gain, we will have them against the previously reported cancellations. My apologies for the confusion.

Yes, that would be tomorrow.

Results: https://practiscore.com/results.php?uuid=2B7ACFA3-9FB2-4759-A455-D22E46824F89 Stage 3 was thrown out due to two things: someone added a target to the stage after it was setup causing more targets than what was setup on the electronic software and missing scores from one group via change to the nooks wiping out their scores. Don't forget about the modified Steel Challenge match tomorrow.
-
Music City Tactical Shooters will host a five stage modified Steel Challenge match this Sunday. We have a good variety of fun and challenging stages for you to shoot. The weather forecast looks great so hope to see you on the range.

I believe that Claude found out on the day of the match(Saturday) about the unclassified shooters. He is surely going to look into the matter. The shooter with the question posed to me was from TN. The shooter did correspond via email to the MD but since they are unaffiliated now, I don't know what will take place. Normally, we bounce ideas off of each other to see how other ACs handle things to have a better consistency.
-
I just got asked questions from a competitor at that match. If there were unclassified shooters or lapsed members of the sport and they placed higher(with match bumps possibility), what is the proper action to ensure the fairness of everyone that was following the rules? I am checking on this now and will let everyone know.
-
Update: It appears there was more problems then the stages. There were approx 50 shooters competing with no valid classifier, and 1 shooter that had a lapsed IDPA membership. The hosting club got caught doing something wrong, were given multiple ways to correct it allowing shooters to continue for no score and they chose to do things their way. http://idpaforum.yuku.com/topic/11588/Message-from-GADPA-Board-of-Directors?page=1#.VFGFktq9KSM

16 yards for a upper 4 inches and whole head shot with a barrel in front of it on the deer blind stage.
-
By a TN shooter that made it to the match they had originally had head shots out to 18 yards.

wrong. They have some of the most advance target props in the nation. Well worth the price of admission just to see them. GA State match was told that they could not start competitors in the kneeling position (Stage 7 which was conveniently thrown out). They were also told not to have targets past 25 yards in their scenario stages(previous stages went from 21 yards starting position to ending position of 37 yards). They also had disappearing targets as the final target array. Arbitration rule they had on their CoF stated that the MD has the final decision on all matters and absolutely no air gunning allowed for any reason.
