What do you all think about a military pics and comments thread? I think we all would enjoy it. I suspect most of the pics will have guns in them. MacGyver and TGO David, comment if you don't want this and I'll let it die.

I see no reason that we couldn't put the screws in with a pilot hole. While we don't have a good source of canine teeth, we do have connections with certain red neck dentists and can provide the replacements. Guaranteed sterile - soaked at least 30 minutes in Ever Clear.

I see we have questions. At the Judge Roy Bean Legal Court, Bar and Dentistry we haven't had much luck putting them back in. While we don't do Ceracote, we have had very good luck using a can of gold spray paint (small extra charge) for the same purpose. We have to agree that Ever Clear is a great option and have added that to the list. Also, we are in a contest with a certain dentist in Brentwood that shall not be named. So, for the next month, all patients will receive two cans of nitrous oxide propellant cool whip with every pliers based adjustment or extraction.

Well, after consulting with the dentist in the video above, I'm making a change based on improving patient experience. The patient will be able to choose a pint of whatever top shelf Tequila they want. Also, I will ensure that the patients lip is pulled out of the way so they don't have to do it themselves.

Well, if we are going to have competition, I'll throw my hat into the ring. I have several nice sets of pliers and customers will get a pint of whatever top shelf whisky they would like. While not technically a dentist, I do stay an Holiday Inn Express on a regular basis.

Can someone edumacate me? One of those rounds has a wadcutter bullet. I was under the impression that wad cutters were usually lower powered and meant for a perfect hole in targets. It's hard to imagine anything being low powered in this round. Are there other good applications for them as well?

I've been able to avoid going to a periodontist so far with the following. Of course, lack of self care isn't the only thing causing need for periodontists. As I've aged, more things are required. Until recently, using a Sonicare toothbrush twice a day and flossing took care of everything. A lot of people don't take time to floss. Not only failing to floss cause tooth loss. Daily flossing greatly reduces the amount of dangerous bacteria in your mouth. The reason that bacteria is a problem is that can cross through the tissue meant to keep it out, get in the blood stream, and do bad things. Recently, I had to add use of a waterpick each day to avoid the periodontist. One more thing, the way I understand it is that if you wind up at the periodontist due to lack of self care, they can treat you, but self care will be required moving forward. gr8smiles, please comment on any incorrect info I've shared.

I'm trying to think about this in strategic terms. We know that demographics are turning against us. Just like an army realizing that the other side has a new weapon and immediately begins on a new strategy, we need to do the same. What has worked so far likely won't work with changing demographics. So, the question becomes, what to do. I think my idea is a good idea worth testing. Maybe it will help and maybe it will flop. Maybe it will work with changes, and I really appreciate the input on improving the post I wrote. I definitely think getting Dems and Republicans out of there is smart. There were other good suggestions as well. I want to challenge everyone to suggest ideas. The key to get folks to share ideas is helpful feedback, like there has been on this thread, and non acceptance of verbiage like we see on some of the political threads. The arguments for gun control are built on a house of cards with lies as the base. How can we take advantage of that?

Most likely, I will regret posting this. Many will disagree. We'll have people say this will never work. Nonetheless, here is what I'm working on to protect us, which is to change the conversation. I will try hard not to engage. Every time I have to apologize for being a dickhead on TGO it is around some kind of political issue. Demographics are not working in our favor. The gun control argument works very well with the demographic the will soon out grow us. He/she was dishonest as the comments by the experts in this article don't support that. If you look at what is said by the experts, they make one point, that mental health issues are not strongly associated with gun violence. Further, they state that mental health issues are not associated with violence. I take issue with politicians claiming they want to stop gun violence when their actions show that they use this topic for political gain. They view this topic as a way to rally the Democrat faithful and put little to no effort into solving the problem. The Republicans do same thing on different topics. Politicians exhibit this behavior because we reinforce them when they do it. We need to stop buying it. Notice that the gun expert didn't refer to guns when he spoke about violence. He spoke about the real issue, which is violence. Here is an example to make my point. First, these mass shootings are absolutely terrible - no doubt about it. They are also statistically insignificant relative to gun violence in the US. Far and away, most gun violence in the US is in the inner city. A young inner city man was killed by gun violence in my city recently. The police and inner city activists made a really good point, which targeted the true issue, which is violence. The point they made was that action was needed to get into the inner city and help youth understand that the rap music they listen to is a form of art, not a form of how the real world is or should be. When is the last time you heard a politician talking about that? If the opposing sides on the issue of gun control would lay that aside and collaborate on how to reduce both gun deaths and violence, we may really be able to make a difference. Here are focus areas I would like to see: · Marketing and safety campaigns around homes with children on keeping guns out of reach of the young ones and out of the hands of teens when adult supervision is not available. · Additional focus on reduced bullying and awareness of troubled teens. Inner city campaigns and education around violence not being the answer as well as teaching conflict resolution, etc... · Lay aside the gun control fight and look for common ground between the two sides to collaborate on reducing accidents and violence connected to guns.

I think a do over is fair. Also, I thik we need to worry about zombies that can kill you with their hands, but don't shoot weapons. After all, none of use get anything other than one gun.

I'm with you - and you did put the machete on there. I'm not a zombie expert, and don't know the different types, so let's say that you can kill them, though with a little more effort than it would be to take out a person. Good point on damaging the rifle when used as a weapon. Besides, doing anything to damage an M1 would be sacrilege, even in a zombie apocalypse. Given the scenario, I can't see a reason that you couldn't carry a baseball bat, hammer, machete or similar object.

ok, so a lot of folks are going with the AR platform. How will you address the need to have to pummel them sometimes? I definitely give up some modern advantages with the M1 Garand, though you cold beat the crap out of a zombie if needed. Mine would have to be re-fitted with a better steel butt plate. Probably use the K98 as a model.

Definitely agree. If a zombie gets to close, you can stun him with a blow from the steel butt plate long enough to get a .30 right where it needs to be.
