I hate it when there are left over parts. Happened to me this past weekend. Been meaning to take a pic and post it.

She's a cutie.

So, when I hold the gun, my thumbs are on the right side of the gun. The slide release on the right side is long enough so that my thumbs interfere with it. I dealt with it by selling the gun. My friend dealt with it by purchasing a slide release, shortening it and putting it back on. I loved the gun. Wish it had occurred to me to do what my friend did.

I don't think there is anything unfashionable about suspenders. I don't wear a suit that often these days, though will wear suspenders to dress it up a little. They are far better than a belt. I spent the 90s wearing suspenders when folks actually wore a suit to work everyday. It sounds like you may be law enforcement, so your needs will be different than mine, though as many have shared there are a wide range of suspender types available. I would suggest against the ones that clip to you pants and get the buttons sewn in. If so, make sure they sew the buttons that the suspenders connect to really well, possibly with some reinforcement if you are wearing them when you work.

Great gun, but not great for left handers - the slide release on the leftie side interferes with a proper grip preventing the slide from staying open after the last shot. Another leftie and I were joking that HK must not have any left hand employees or they would shorten the slide release.

Very cool little gun. Also, has an ambi safety - something you don't usually see on C&R guns.

I completely agree. -
I just sent the email below to a bunch of folks and thought I would post it here as well. Please RSVP with a PM if you would like to attend or have interest in getting involved. ********************************************************************************** Happy New Year!, I would like to invite you to a bagels & coffee introduction to Bunker Labs. I'm personally getting involved because of their mission and previous success in other cities. January 27th, 7:30-8:30 am at The Entrepreneur Center, 41 Peabody St. in Nashville. Please RSVP to me. Bunker Labs is a non-profit focused on assisting military veteran entrepreneurs in starting and growing businesses. (http://bunkerlabs.org/) Here are aspects of Bunker that I like: Teach to fish rather than give a fish - Bunker provides coaching, education and community. Most importantly, the client has to do the work. Bunker Labs has been successful in multiple cities - Nashville is an expansion. They have a game plan that works. They have access to many of the resources provided by The Entrepreneur Center. The Entrepreneur Center initiated discussions, which are currently occurring, such that they may become part of The EC. What Bunker Labs needs in Nashville: Veterans that have interest in starting a business Coaches / Mentors Volunteers Financial Support Can you attend? Please RSVP so we can plan accordingly. Best Regards, Pete

Looking for Nashville Credit Union/Banking suggestions
Pete123 replied to JDebler's topic in General Chat
I'm a big fan of Renasant. They are a community bank that has grown to a regional. The only negative I have ever come across is that they have only three branches in metro Nashville. -
I've read about them before and don't recall anything justifying a higher price.

Have any of you used the home version of Duracoat or the home finishing products from Brownell's? If so how did it turn out? I have a Marlin 336 in need.

Gun Auction, Monroe County Sheriffs Dept Feb 13th 10am

In looking at the pics, they have nice guns on there - not the Saturday night special types I would expect from a law enforcement auction. I wonder how they got them. -

I'm starting to wonder if if it was shot down before he enacted it. It was getting a lot of press building up to the Sandy Hook Anniversary and then nothing. I will practice civil disobedience on this one. -
Welcome! Tell us a little about yourself - firearms interests, etc... You're in a tough state for firearms enthusiasts.

Just received an email that Classic has several different types of M39s for sale.

My daughter wanted to shoot yesterday for the first time

You know the saying, "I wish I knew as much now as I did when I was 17." -

Her fun laugh must have really moved you as her dad. Just think, only four or five more years before you cease being hopelessly dense and un-cool. -
pun intended? :hat:

That's awesome! -
Yeah, if it comes down to trusting a Sig or a reloader I'll bet on the Sig.

You never know. The re-loader may have put a double dose of powder in the case.

TMF, Many people don't realize the contribution the Russians made in WWII. They killed 7 out of 10 or 8 out of 10 German soldiers and destroyed the Germans ability to make war. Many in the US believe that we were the driving force in winning WWII and that simply isn't true. I have a huge interest in the Eastern Front of WWII. The reason is because of the will of the Russian people. Not Stalin, not the Communists, not the leadership - but the people. The Russians won the war because the common folks fought to the death to defend their country and protect their loved ones. At the end of the day, that is the reason the Russians defeated the Germans. The Russians had no military leadership when WWII broke out. Stalin had killed all the good leaders as he thought they were a threat to him. The Russians that were actually doing the fighting grew from rank amateurs at the beginning of the war to awesome warriors by the end. Stalin didn't care about the people - he only cared about his grip on power. The Russian military vets came to learn that they meant nothing to Stalin in the years following WWII.
