I always shake my head when an iconic brand puts their name of a piece of crap.

They want S&W to be one of their brands. They'll have other products under different names. Rest assured, the guns will be S&W. I would think they'll put of S&W brand on everything where it makes sense - what a powerful brand.

I would be surprised if they can do this legally in the state of TN. My best guess is that if something happen and they fired your for failing to notify them that one of the 2A groups would happily sue them.

I got a post card from the NRA. They are endorsing Steve Glover for the TN House, 60th District. They went on to say that the incumbent is not a strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment.

Well, the important question for many TGO'ers, myself included, is whether any of the women on their SAINT team are into balding, older, overweight white men.

Heck, you can't blame them for the marketing. I saw the same from Sig for the Legion and thought it would fall flat, but it worked. Same thing for claiming they've been making them since 1794. The way of the world is that when someone buys the rights to a name they advertise having been in business since the original date. I didn't know they have a line they don't make. Which one is that?

I can't find anything about the guns - seems they are being tight lipped. When I said I was a big fan, I meant a big fan of the 1911s and M1. I hate to say it, though I think S&W and Glock have better striker fired pistols.

No one is making you stay in the US. If you think there is somewhere better then head out and don't let the door hit you on the way out. That is really you only option unless you are doing more to make change than comment on an online forum.

Glock seems to be the whipping boy in the gun world and I used to be one of the main critics. I've really come around from being a critic. I don't own one and probably won't get one as I've committed to the S&W M&P line. Having said that, the Glock is the weapon of choice for an awful lot of folks that put themselves in harms way for a living. Glock picks a few things to focus on, like reliability, and that's all they focus on. Someone commented on changing the grip angle. I agree that the John Brownings grip angle is best for me. Having said that, Glock is Austrian. Austria is very German like. The Glock has the angle that the luger had. I'm guessing that they take that as a point of national pride and don't look to see that change. At the end of the day, I don't think Glock fans should ever have to defend their weapon of choice. It simply performs too well for its intended purpose.

Glock deserves loyal customers and there are many on this forum. Nice to see a new gun from them.
