  1. Bud's has Police Turn In CZ 75s and Hi Powers CZ 75s range from $269-299 HI Powers range from $269 to $359.
  2. I went and did some Internet research. Here is an article that I thought were good: http://www.tactical-life.com/combat-handguns/dropped-gun-inertia-discharge/ I interpret the article to say that it can happen, though is unlikely with a modern quality firearm. There are things to be aware of, such as the example above with older holsters.
  3. Guys, IMHO you needn't worry about carrying. Regarding pocket carry, a gun should always be in a holster that covers the trigger guard and trigger and that includes pocket carry. Of course anything man made can fail. Having said that, I'm not aware of any police or true gun pro that worries about quality modern gun going off if the trigger isn't pressed.
  4. I'm not aware of any modern pistols / revolvers that fire without the trigger being touched. Having grown up in a college town, I can tell you that there is a definite difference between the college police and the police we are all familiar with.
  5. Hmmmmm is a great way to describe it. He was almost certainly doing something he shouldn't have.
  6. Hmmmm, guess I better quit carrying my gun in my sock. I'm trying to envision how you would do that and am having a hard time.
  7. It sounds like he did a lot to curb 2nd Amendment Rights. Example, he is the one that did away with ownership of newly build full auto weapons - more detail is earlier in the post.
  8. I'm glad you two spoke up because I didn't know that about Reagan.
  9. The SKS rifles have more history to them than you may realize. The SKS was the primary infantry rifle for the Chinese for 30 years. Militia and reserves in China still have them today. They have historical significance to America because they saw some use in the Korean War and much use in Vietnam, both for America as well as the French. Far more SKS's were used in Vietnam than AK 47s They saw use in the Balkans and have been in service for a lot of poor countries. Here are a few pics from Vietnam:
  10. Yes, it took a little while, but you all on TGO have done exactly that.
  11. I can't think of more to add other than someone has taken a fine looking gun and every piece of history related to it.
  12. Thanks for taking time to upload the pics and write the verbiage. Great Post!
  13. It's great that you are being a helpful neighbor as well as thinking toward bringing her into the gun ownership community.
  14. I get all wiggity when Erin comes out with her gun.
  15. I'm thinking that you would strap on your back like one of those big Claymore Swords.
  16. I'm not a big Blue Book fan as I sold a nice S&W revolver for about half of its value based on the Blue Book. The best source I know of is to go to Gun Broker or similar site where you can do an advanced search on guns that have recently sold to see how much they sold for.
  17. Nice, that one is on my list as well.
  18. I like the tv shows that have come out based on comic books, one of which is The Arrow. It's a different take on The Green Arrow. Anyway, I've been enjoying the show. Then, the star of the show, who is wealthy, wants to do something about violence in the city, so he puts up the money for a gun buy back. The show goes on to portray the gun buy back as a big success.
  19. It's looking good from my point of view. I haven't posted pics yet, though look forward to that being easier. Also, looking at the editor tools, I see new things that I like.
  20.   Ewwwww!  I see Hillary dangling it in a plastic evidence bag as she cries about evil guns.
  21. Work on preserving a Gallagher Carbine
  22. In thinking about this, who is going to want to pay a boat load of money for a gun used to kill someone in a controversial shooting?     He claimed The Smithsonian wanted the gun and they were quick to say they haven't been in touch with him and have no interest at all in the gun.
  23. Hey KKing, The sign below doesn't exactly fit your situation, though you have my full support in finding the perfect sign along these lines and posting all over at work.
