  1.   Go on cast boolits and check around many are selling at $1 a lb if you want to buy it.  ______________________________________________________________________________   This is probably the most reliable source you will find. There's usually someone selling WW lead, pure lead, linotype and tin. Lots of good info for casters. You can spend days just reading the stickies.
  2.   Social Security cards printed from January 1946 until January 1972 expressly stated that people should not use the number and card for identification. Since nearly everyone in the United States now has a SSN, it became convenient to use it anyway and the message was removed.
  3. How does a 30%- 40% increase in your health care costs sit with you?   http://townhall.com/tipsheet/guybenson/2015/05/22/obamacare-premium-hikes-n2002338
  4.  McFarlands in Atoka is a class III dealer and I think their transfer fee for class III items is $75.

  6.    Just before I went into the Navy I worked at a little neighborhood grocery store and we sold .22 ammo. Shorts were $.20 and LR were $.25. That was in 1962.
  7.  I couldn't find you any rat shot up in your area but the Oak Ridge and Lenoir City Walmarts both show Federal AutoMatch (325 rounds) in stock if you need any of those.   If they're like the ones here, with the exception of one store,  they should put them out in the morning.
  8.  The demand around here has slowed down a lot in the last couple of months. Several walmarts around here have had CCI mini-mags (100 rnds) and Federal Automatch (325 rnds) sit on their shelves for 2-3 days.
  9.  Thanks for the post, ordered one today.
  10.  I went down there this afternoon and  wasn’t overly impressed. I guess it would be a fun place to take kids to see all the stuffed animals and other things they have scattered around but it didn’t really do anything for me.     I rarely buy things at Basspro anyway but this one is about ½ the distance compared to the one on Sycamore View. The only bad thing is having to drive through Frayser to get there. The best part as far as I’m concerned is that everything I’m interested in, is just inside the north entrance; fishing on the ground floor and the guns just above on the second floor with an elevator right inside the door.     They do have lawsuits waiting to happen though. In some places, the fish pond is right next to the walkway and if you happen to be looking at the scenery, you could very well wind up in the water because there is no barrier or railing to prevent you from falling in.
  11.  I've only had one problem with a S&W and it was taken care of with no hassles.   I bought a Model 63 used and it was a great shooter but after spitting out the bullets it didn't want to let go of the containers they came in  (wouldn't eject the empties). I contacted Smith and they took care of it with no problems even though I had bought it used. I'm not sure what they did, but it still works great.
  12.  A.J's Gun shop in Atoka is owned by a woman.
  13.  Make sure your MIL isn't around when you're shooting them.  :D   I hope my attempt at linking something works this time.   "http://www.syracuse.com/us-news/index.ssf/2015/04/georgia_man_shoots_at_armadillo_bullet_hits_mother-in-law_in_back.html"
  14.  I wonder if he realizes that his political career might hinge on this decision.
  15.  I haven't checked lately, but Guns and Ammo on Summer used to carry powders and primers. They were always high so I've never bought any of their's.

  17. http://www.businessinsider.com...traffic-stops-2015-4   Supreme Court rules that cops can't hold you for even a few extra minutes after routine traffic stops The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in a 6-3 vote Tuesday that routine traffic stops cannot be extended for further police investigation. After police have completed a routine traffic stop, they cannot hold you for even a few extra minutes without violating your rights, the Supreme Court ruled on Tuesday. In a 6-3 vote, the court said constitutional protections against unreasonable search and seizure prevent police agencies from extending traffic stops for additional investigation, such as the use of a drug-sniffing dog. “We hold that a police stop exceeding the time needed to handle the matter for which the stop was made violates the Constitution’s shield against unreasonable seizures,” Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said in a written ruling on behalf of the court. Justice Clarence Thomas, writing on behalf of the dissenting justices, said the court’s interpretation could blur the definitions of probable cause and reasonable suspicion for U.S. police departments. In Rodriguez v. United States, a case brought by a Nebraska man who was pulled over for driving erratically on a state highway in 2012, the court majority said police lacked probable cause in a search that led to the man's drug charge. The man in the case, Dennys Rodriguez, had his license checked and was issued a warning for his improper driving. But then a police officer asked Rodriguez if he would consent to having a drug-sniffing dog walk around the vehicle. He refused. The officer still held Rodriguez and told him to wait in his vehicle for “seven or eight minutes,” according to a report in the Hill, until another officer arrived with the drug-sniffing dog. Police ended up arresting Rodriguez for possession of methamphetamines and Rodriguez was indicted on federal drug charges. But at the moment that the first officer completed the initial check, all further searches of Rodriguez's car were illegal, Ginsburg said in the ruling. The "tolerable duration of police inquiries in the traffic-stop context is determined by the seizure’s ‘mission’ — to address the traffic violation that warranted the stop,” she wrote. “Authority for the seizure thus ends when tasks tied to the traffic infraction are — or reasonably should have been — completed.” Thomas, along with Justices Samuel Alito and Anthony Kennedy, argued that police should have the authority to detain people when they suspect other crimes are being committed. “Had [the police officer] arrested, handcuffed and taken Rodriguez to the police station for his traffic violation, he would have complied with the Fourth Amendment,” Thomas wrote in the dissent. “Such a view of the Fourth Amendment makes little sense.”

  20.  Haslam is a politician, I don't think he will put his signature on it, pro or con.   If he has his eyes on Lamar's seat, it would be political suicide to veto it.
  21. Congratulations on your escape and welcome to the great state of Tennessee.  Thank you for not complaining about our  10 cent per box tax on ammo (old story).  :D    I would also like to offer some advice. If you are going to Crappie fish or turkey hunt and you’ve been out there in Commie land for 30 years, please, for your safety and the safety of some of our harmless critters, educate or re-educate yourself on the species of snakes we have in the state.  You never know who you will be sharing a brush pile or tree stump with.
  22. I went to the Post Office and signed up the  morning of my 18th Birthday and joined the Navy that same afternoon.      If you are a man ages 18 through 25 and living in the U.S., then you must register with Selective Service. It's the law. You can register at any U.S. Post Office and do not need a social security number.     http://www.militaryspot.com/resources/military_draft/
