1. Welcome to the forum from Tipton County.
2.  I have no idea who to contact but last year on opening day there was a group hunting the field just west of Singleton Pky. where Bolen Huse Rd. crosses it.
3.  If you sew, or know any one that does, there's all kinds of patterns on line.   Just google "Union artillery shell jacket pattern"
4.  This is what I got back from TWRA and it really doesn't say whether it's legal or not.   There is no trapping season for rabbits in the State of Tennessee.  Page 19 of the Tennessee Hunting and Trapping Guide is where the trapping regulations are found.  You can access the guide at tn.gov/twra       Cape Taylor, Lieutenant Colonel Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency Division of Boating and Law Enforcement P.O. Box 40747 Nashville, Tennessee 37204 615-781-6580 office
5.  I'll appreciate any info you can come up with.    I sent an e-mail to the TWA asking about it but haven't gotten a reply yet. I was going to call but i'd rather have something in writing even if it's just an e-mail from them.   As far as the rabbit season, I've always waited until after the first hard freeze anyway even when I was hunting.  I've had my traps outside weathering for about two years now because I saw this day coming.   Chip
6.  It seems like the only time I think about this is on weekends when the gov. offices are closed. Does anyone know for sure if box traps are legal or illegal?    I love my fried rabbit but my old body just won't stand up to the hunt nowdays.    My dad and I used to set out traps in the area where we hunted in Oklahoma and if we got enough by hunting he would release the ones in the traps. I don't know what the state limit was at that time but his limit was four... said that's all we would eat.
7. Believe me, you will really regret not including toilet paper in you bag.
8.  I'd like to see speed and red light cameras banned.
9.  It must just be a West Tennessee thing. I have thousands of them up here in Tipton County.
10.  Welcome to the forum from your northern neighbor (Tipton County)
11. If I do this right, here's a cheat sheet for the different generations. imagehosting
12.  I have no hesitation using PayPal but I do have it tied to a separate bank account with just enough to make purchases plus a little extra.
13. http://www.cnn.com/2015/05/18/politics/supreme-court-ruling-gun-felons/index.html     The Supreme Court ruled in favor of a former U.S. Border patrol agent, Tony Henderson, who was convicted of a felony in 2006 and sought to sell his gun collection that included a personal firearm and some antique weapons.
14.  There you go, doing it again, Be nice to the new guys.       :slap:
15. Them's purdy   Bare in mind that the powder coating will increase the overall diameter of the bullet so they might have to be sized, depending on your barrel.
16.  I'm sure Memphis will gladly jump on the band wagon, they're in debt up to their eyeballs.
17.  I know you've already completed your lower but for anyone else thinking about a build you can't beat the instructions at this link. I watched all kinds of videos but was able to print this out and have it laying right beside me while I was building mine. I jokingly call it my "Building an ar lower for Dummies".   http://www.ar15.com/content/guides/assembly/lower/
18.  The three Ss:   shoot, shovel and silence.
19.  In Memphis
20.  I bought mine at Guns and Ammo and was surprised when the price on the tag was the "out the door" price. (included tax and background check). I don't know if I stumbled onto a special they were having or if that's their normal deal.  It has been 6-8 months so I can't even remember what I paid for it.    Also, right across the street from G&A there is a pawn shop that is really a gun store in disguise and usually has some good prices.
21.  I'm on the opposite side of the fence on this. I grew up eating wild rabbits and decided to raise some tame ones for the table but they just didn't have the taste I was used to. I will have to say, they were not quite as tough as the wild ones though.   I also found that rabbit cooks a lot faster than chicken and gets really tough if overcooked (at least, if frying).
22. I really shouldn't have read this, I just placed an order yesterday for an upper.
23.  Welcome back to Tennessee.   Here's a link to the FFL locator from Buds Gun Shop. Just plug in your zip and area to be checked. I found a couple of small shops around here that I didn't know existed.   http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/ffl.php
24.  Our last two have been rescues. Each of them was around a year old when we got them. Our last was with us for 16 years and the one now has been with us for 14 years.    The longevity in dogs  that we've been blessed with has made me come to the conclusion that this will be our last. The last thing I want is to have a loving pet outlive me and have to go back to a shelter. If I find an older dog that needs a home, I might change my mind.
