Not really an interesting article but when I got to the last paragraph it made my mouth drop open. Is the upcoming generation really this stupid ? McDonald’s is facing a bag shortage due to pressures in the industry, the Wall Street Journal reports. Over the past year, the majority of restaurants across the country saw most of the business coming from take-out or delivery orders, which required them to use more bags than usual. About 81% of restaurant business was take out or delivery over the past 12 months, Yahoo Finance reports. During the prior year, it was just 18%. As restaurant dining rooms across the country are reopening, McDonald’s workers are serving more orders on trays. McDonald’s policy is to serve in-store meals on trays. The increase in tray service is not connected to issues with the supply of bags. According to the Wall Street Journal, some restaurants have reported issues with workers who haven’t had to serve orders on trays before. New employees hired during the past year would likely have served primarily to-go orders and transitioning back to trays is reportedly more difficult than expected. https://www.foxbusiness.com/lifestyle/mcdonalds-bag-shortage-industry-pressures

This should really test the "Super Spreader" theory. Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to attend the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota as more Americans attend large gatherings this year following last year's coronavirus lockdowns. The rally kicked off Friday and will last over 10 days with 700,000 people expected to attend. The event was widely criticized as a "superspreading event" last year amid the pandemic, when about 460,000 people attended. https://www.foxnews.com/us/sturgis-motorcycle-rally-thousands-coronavirus

If your employer fires you because you won’t get the COVID vaccine, don’t expect to collect unemployment https://www.marketwatch.com/story/dont-expect-unemployment-benefits-if-you-dont-comply-with-your-employers-vaccine-requirement-11628287814

I was in the Raleigh Wal-Mart today and noticed they had some 22 ammo. CCI Mini Mags 100 for $8 something and Federal Automatch 325 round boxes but I didn't see a price tag.

Well ... I finished "The Final Day" and as someone said, the whole thing is disturbing. Waiting for some input on "Sun" while my eyes are resting.

I was in our local gun store today and saw one of these. I've always drooled over the plain jane version but this was something else.

Must have been a poplar subject to have 10% of members on line at once.

I just noticed this over on the right hand side of the home page and for the life of me, can't figure out what was going on that had this many people on line at the same time. Any ideas ??

It's very rare for me to come to the defense of Memphis but in this case it's better to have had it and not use it than the other way around.

I know this applies to New York but where's Hagerty ??? Sen. Ted Cruz and two dozen Senate Republicans, including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, filed an amicus brief Tuesday in a Second Amendment case the Supreme Court is set to hear this fall, arguing that New York gun law violates the right to bear arms under the Constitution. Cruz and McConnell were joined by GOP Sens. John Barrasso, Marsha Blackburn, John Boozman, Mike Braun, John Cornyn, Tom Cotton, Kevin Cramer, Mike Crapo, Steve Daines, Josh Hawley, John Hoeven, Cindy Hyde-Smith, Jim Inhofe, Ron Johnson, James Lankford, Mike Lee, Cynthia Lummis, Roger Marshall, Jerry Moran, Jim Risch, Marco Rubio, Rick Scott, and Thom Tillis in their brief. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/cruz-and-24-senate-republicans-file-amicus-brief-defending-second-amendment-rights

Well, I just finished the second one (One Year After) and it didn't leave me feeling all warm and fuzzy, especially when they started considering anyone that spoke up against the Federal Government as a terrorist. I think if I'd read these when they first came out I'd probably have a different viewpoint of them. I agree, the first was better than the second one but it moved at a "faster pace". The second one spent too much time on each situation or action. I have to give my eyes a rest before I start The Final Day.
