  12. A Fox News poll released Thursday shows the NFL’s popularity has plummeted 18 percent since 2013, with the biggest drop in favorability among Republicans. The survey found that 46 percent of the viewers had a positive opinion of the NFL while 41 percent viewed the league negatively. In comparison, just four years earlier, 64 percent of the people had a positive view while 19 percent had an unfavorable one. Additionally, results show that the group of people who have soured the most on the league were Republicans. The poll found that Republicans favorability had dropped by 37 percent, independents by 14 percent and Democrats by 6 percent. “If the NFL were a political candidate, alarm bells would be going off in campaign headquarters,” Democratic pollster Chris Anderson — who conducted the Fox News poll with Republican pollster Daron Shaw — explained. http://dailycaller.com/2017/10/26/nfl-popularity-plummets-in-new-poll-especially-among-republicans/

  15. The oddsmakers like ESPN pundit Jon Gruden’s chances of being the next football coach at the University of Tennessee. He’s currently sitting at +800, meaning a wager of $100 would pay out $800. He’s tied for fifth as the most likely to be calling the shots for the Volunteers when Butch Jones gets fired. He initially opened at +2,000. The rumors of Jon Gruden going to Tennessee have been steadily growing for weeks. I initially wrote there wasn’t a great chance he’d ever coach again. However, I’m starting to take a second look at the entire situation, and my opinion is slowly starting to change. If the Volunteers can cut a big check, give him the staff he wants and stay out of way, I could then see something coming together. Oddsmakers are rarely wrong, and his substantial shift upward is a sign that Gruden to Tennessee is now very real. http://smokeroom.com/2017/10/24/oddsmakers-like-jon-grudens-chances-of-being-the-next-tennessee-coach/
  16. Move to the western end of the state, nothing interesting ever gets put up for sale here
  17. I don't don't if the truth will come out or not but this should put some of the conspiracy theories to rest. President Trump said Saturday that he intends to allow the release of long-classified files on the assassination of former President John F. Kennedy, a move that could shed light on a tragedy that has stirred conspiracy theories for decades. The National Archives has until Oct. 26 to disclose the remaining thousands of never-seen government documents on the 1963 assassination, unless Trump changes course and tries to block their release. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/10/21/trump-suggests-hell-allow-release-classified-files-on-kennedy-assassination.html
  18. I was in Michael's (hobby and crafts) the other day and the lady in front of me checking out paid for her $1.29 item with plastic. I mentioned it to the cashier and he said that the day before he had a man pay for a $.64 item with his debit card. Is there anyone that doesn't carry a few bucks on them or am I an exception?

  24. Me thinks someone saw the light The NFL is quietly changing its policy to require players to stand for the national anthem following nationwide backlash. The league reportedly added the new rules to its game manual, which will punish players who refuse to stand. The penalties include fines, suspensions, and forfeiting of draft choices. It’s unclear when the rules were updated. This comes after President Trump called for the removal of tax breaks for the NFL if players continue their disrespectful protests. http://www.oann.com/nfl-revises-national-anthem-policy/
