S&W M&P .40 caliber converting to .357 Sig. question
xsubsailor replied to Quavodus's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
I was going to get a 357 sig conversion barrel for my glock 23 but after checking the price of the ammo changed my mind. -
Maybe this will help with the lube job.

Does anyone have any experience with them ? (pros/cons, opinions) Don't really need one but have been looking at them lately.

I've been having the same thoughts for a while now. I'm in the same boat as you regarding meds, plus my mobility is down to zilch.

We were out making the rounds Friday and decided to check out the shop in Oakland (never been there) Just as we pulled up the guy locked the door and had a 2 hour lunch closure sign on the door. My question is, does the shop justify driving from the Munford/Atoka area or is it a big nothing burger?

I stumbled upon a new gun shop in Bartlett the other day. It's a small shop that's only been open for a few weeks now and I told them I'd let people know about them. It's called Abe's gun store and it's located at 2564 Appling Rd. in Bartlett.

Ben mentioned this on his show the other day and I remembered the name but he didn't say where it was at, I believe he also said they had some full- autos you could rent.

I watched this list night and wish there was some way I could get those 2 1/2 - 3 hours back . #1 was good as far as entertainment goes, #2 was bad and in keeping with the trend, #3 was absolutely horrible. The only thing entertaining was Halle Berry's dogs.

Back in the mid '80s I picked up one of these that had already had the conversion done. It was nowhere as nice as this one but was a blast to drive. The only problem that I picked up on real fast was having all the metal on the rear end replaced with fiberglass made it notoriously wicked on wet roads. It did, however make at least 10-15 trips to Oklahoma City and back with no problems. If I wasn't so far along in life and was able to still do the type of work required, I would be all over one of these: The "New Beetle" was so unpopular that the used ones are dirt cheap now and the kit doesn't cost that much. I'd say less than $5000 for the whole thing. host images

Has anyone participated in a gun control poll recently?
xsubsailor replied to Will Carry's topic in General Chat
I thought those polls were just for the anti-gun people. -
I've got a '69 in my garage covered up with empty boxes. My wife and I bought it new before heading for Hawaii in Sept. of'69. When our youngest daughter turned 16 (1990), I told her if she would drive it, I would paint it any way she wanted (mistake ). I took me about two weeks to figure out how to do it and about a week of spraying and buffing.

HENNING, Tenn. (WTVF) — Tennessee Bureau of Investigations is searching for an "extremely dangerous" man who escaped the West Tennessee State Penitentiary. TBI said Watson is also a person of interest in the murder of a Tennessee Department of Correction, 64-year-old Debra Johnson, on Wednesday. We can confirm the homicide victim at West Tennessee State Penitentiary is Correctional Administrator Debra Johnson. She is a 38-year veteran employee of the state of Tennessee. Curtis Ray Watson escaped from jail on his 44th birthday. He began his sentence for aggravated child abuse and especially aggravated kidnapping in August 2012 and was expected to be released May 2025. This is the third time TBI has ever issued a Blue Alert, which are used to inform the public on violent suspects who kill or seriously injure law enforcement officers in the line of duty. The penitentiary is in Henning, Tennessee, which is about two hours away from Nashville. Watson is considered extremely dangerous. If you see him, call 911 or 1-800-TBI-FIND. He has a long criminal history that includes tampering with government records, aggravated rape, violation of order of protection, and aggravated assault charges. TBI released photos of Watson's tattoos to help the public keep an eye out. https://www.newschannel5.com/news/tbi-searching-for-extremely-dangerous-man-who-escaped-west-tennessee-state-penitentiary

Thanks, I guess I should have been more specific. I'm after the unicorn with the short horn (16 inch barrel) but it's starting to look like I'm going to have to settle for the 20 incher.

This is the unicorn that I'm still looking for.
