  1. I was conflicted about carrying in church so I talked to one of the deacons and found out 4 out of 6 of our deacons are armed every service so now I am to. It really surprised me that they had talked and planned for a problem in church, the deacons are all seated in different areas in the church during service and 2 of them are with the children during sunday school. I was really very impressed at the planning and I bet 99% of the other members have no ideal, like I didn't before I asked.
  2. My oldest daughter does this for extra money but I think your a little to far away from Newport.
  3. Best steak I ever ate was a Ribeye from 'ye old steak house" in Knoxville it was unbelievably good.
  4. shoot him and eat him seriously good bbq meat kinda greasy so great for grilling.
  5. I have had dogs my whole life and have never bought one, they have all either been gifts, showups, or rescues to many good dogs out there needing a good home for me to pay some puppy mill operator to keep mistreating an animal to pump out more pups. Now cat's are another story, I am a firm believer in what my Dad taught me..."cat's are good for 1 thing..... TARGET PRACTICE" LMBO Jking
  6. Shoot, nowadays it seems every other 18/25 yr old is addicted to pills and willing to lie, cheat, and steal from anyone to get the next fix. I have never been a big supporter of Government regs on anything but somehow we have to get a hold on all the prescription drugs floating around ruining so many lives. I'm not sure these boys were dope heads but I would say there's a better than good chance.

    rust!!!

I made it out to the range today and it took close to 50 rounds thru the G30 to knock the rust off, I've had so much crap going on I haven't been able to get much range time in the past couple months. I couldn't believe how much my accuracy dropped off in just this little amount of time. Good news I got to put 200 rounds down range with the new G19 and 100 with the G33 and they were such a pleasure to shoot, I would still be there if I hadn't run outa ammo.
  8. We could just meet in Sevierville and take over Buds range lol then go grab some vittles

    Glock # 2 & 3

I got a great package deal today on a Glock 33 and 19 both gen4. I still love my 30 the most but the 33 is a very close second. This is the first .357 sig I have ever owned or shot and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I like it. I have been after a 19 for awhile but not really looking for a 33 but he made me such a good package deal I couldn't turn it down.
  10. Anyone have any suggestions on keeping wild turkeys away? There are a couple turkey hens that keep raiding my strawberries, I have shot in the air and shot them with a pellet gun to no avail, TWRA informed me that if I killed them and got caught it would be a $600 fine per turkey and confiscation of my gun, unless I was to have an officer come to my house and actually see the turkeys damaging my garden, then they would sell me a special permit to kill them for $15, so that's a no go.
  11. +1
  12. SONOFA!@#$% I just realized I screwed up. I planted 2 rows of sweet corn and let my granddaughter plant a row of Indian corn beside it, cross pollination never entered my head. Now I have to figure out a way to ACCIDENTLY kill my granddaughters Indian corn without her finding out lol.
  13. I have two nice rows of corn 6 tomato plants, 1 row of okra, 4 jalapeno plants, 8 broccoli plants, two rows of potatoes, 2 rows of onions, 2 cucumbers vines, 2 cantaloupe vines 2 watermelon vines and tons of strawberries. I am picking off 50-75 strawberries a day already. I used sheep manure for fertilizer this year and it seems to be doing a great job!!

    Snakes

Not a snake lover or hater, I say live and let live, if it's nonvenomous it's welcome in my yard if venomous as long as it's in the woods or not where my grandbabies play I will try to scare it off before resorting to the old shotgun. I hate rats and mice a ton more than any mostly peaceful reptile crawling thru my yard, NOW MY WIFE ON THE OTHER HAND lol
  15. ok I've been cleaning up at dads old house in Greeneville and found a fairly big rat problem while tearing down and burning an old chicken coop. After a few days of sitting in a chair picking them off with a pellet rifle I got the bright ideal to go buy a bunch of rat poison and put it out. Well, 6 boxes were gone in one night but MY GOD the smell is unbearable, I'm thinking I may need to postpone my cleanup for a month and let the dead quit stinking before I go back. I somehow didn't think that the outside rats might go under or inside the house to die DOHT
  16. SHM I don't understand the stupid lawsuit club, we had a guy sue the company I worked for because he ran a flaggers stop sign and a tree landed on the hood of his car, he claimed emotional damages that caused him to not be able to service his wife anymore, and the company paid him off to keep from going to court, just stupid if you ask me!!!!
  17. Oyeah already done, they are all securely locked in my gun safe, and the key never leaves my pocket. He wasn't actually arrested, the only one he threatened to hurt was himself, and he never discharged the gun, so he was just taken into protective custody and taken to the hospital. He is doing a lot better now, that week to just think and vent to a shrink did him a world of good, and from what he said the other patients freaked him out enough to never want to go back lol.
  18. Hey guys, I haven't been around much lately, the past couple weeks have been hell. My son caught his wife cheating on him which caused a snowball effect from hell that came to a head with him being taken into protective custody and sent to Peninsula for a week. The police officer who took him confiscated his M&P .45 and after my son told him how much he loved that gun, and that I had bought it for him for Christmas a couple years ago, kept the gun in his car for 2 days instead of turning it in at the station, and brought it to me instead of making us go thru all the hoops to get it back. I wont post his name because I don't know for sure but I think he may have bent a rule or 2 doing this, but he really did an awesome thing for my son and I wanted to give him some props!
  19. Just down I40 in Newport
  20. +1 on big as you can afford, I started with a 5 slot with 3 pistol compartments and filled it in less than a year, and had to get a gun cabinet to put my everyday carry weapons and essentials in (ammo, holsters, ear protection) and a couple lower end rifles/muzzleloaders.
  21. She is, and had to buy her own cuffs so she bought a pink set, lol she said the males at jail about crap themselves when she pulls them out for a perp walk over to the court house.
  22. My daughter forgot her PINK handcuffs at my house today when she came to pick my grand daughter after work. Well being the complete moron I am I noticed about 2 seconds AFTER I locked myself to the pole on my porch that she hadn't left the key, and I am the only one at home with my phone sitting on the kitchen table mocking me lol. Two hours later my wife finally comes home and after she quit laughing at me she called Shay and had her bring the key. So that was my day today.
  23. Just take a file and remove the serial numbers from the gun....... problem solved LMBO (just incase THAT WAS A JOKE DON'T DO THIS) LMBO again
