  2. Well she starts the academy next month she is so excited lol. The Sherriff told her he was very impressed with her, I took her to buds to celebrate and she walked out with a nice new G26 gen4, we just went to throw a few rounds into paper targets, but when she picked the G26 up she fell in love so I paid for 1/2 and she walked out a happy girl. I was saving for a Henery lever action 30/30 it will just take me a little longer to get it.
  3. OK, I get my carry permit, I go to the trouble to buy a IWB holster so I can CARRY CONCEALED then I go out and buy a badge advertising the fact that I carry CONCEALED mmmmmmmmmm FACE Palm

    Ruger LC9

Ok, I think I will call Ruger tomorrow thanks for the input.  I'll let you know what they say.
  7. +1 I perfected med rare at home just the way I like it good and red inside with just a little blood and brown seared on the outside. So after many disappointments at restaurants I don't order steaks out anymore or if I do its a cheap sirloin that I don't mind if it's wrong.

    Ruger LC9

I picked up a Ruger LC9 on trade today and I like it so far except the mag release, it's is super tight, takes a lot of pressure to get it to release. Is this something known that will loosen up with use or should I contact Ruger about it?
  9. My brother and I would get a milk jug fill it with gas and duct tape a 12ga shell in the top then shoot it with our BB guns ONE HELL OF A BOOM
  10. Just when I think I have heard the STUPIDEST thing the Obama administration could come up with, they prove me wrong again!!!
  11. Yeah I have eaten them like this and they were really good, I like them breaded and fried better but I wouldn't turn down a grilled one either.
  12. Another thing we have found is that my wife has the "nose" she can tell when my sugar is high because I smell like fruit to her, some people can smell it on others and some can't. I use to hate it before i realized this is serious because she could always tell if i cheated.
  13. One of my biggest battles when I was first diagnosed was Country Time lemonade, I love it in the summer!! It took a long time to finally find a decent sugar free lemonade recipe, none of the mixes were good at all. I finally got the mixture pretty good using Splenda as a sweetener.
  14. Some good eating is Okra and green tomatoes cut thin lightly coated with egg whites and corn meal then fried till golden brown. just don't drop any, your tounge will pull itself out of your mouth to get to it lol.
  15. I have the same Mix of 1&2 my Dr calls it type 3 even though there s no official type 3. It is apparently rare (lucky us huh lol) I have diabetes on both sides of my family, so far it has skipped my kids but my grandson was diagnosed with type 1 last year, it's really tough on a kid, but he's been a real trooper about it.
  16. I'll tell you the weirdest thing I have found. when my blood sugar is high I crave lemons, can't get enough of them, I have eaten them until my lips were sore from the acid in them before. I asked my Dr about it and he said it was the first time he had ever heard of it.
  17. I do use the whole grain pasta not the white that helps a lot, I love to cook, next to family it is my greatest joy to cook a great meal and enjoy it while watching others enjoy it aswell. When I first was diagnosed I tried the low/no card way of life but it just took all the joy out of cooking and eating for me. So I never could completely quit cheating, and until I learned a few BIG don't and how to cut some of the carbs without cutting to much of the flavor it ended me in the Hospitol a couple time once in the ICU for a week. My dr wasn't very happy with me back then!! I have been testing my new limits since he put me on the Victoza and so far I can eat pretty much anything in small/normal portions without my glucose going to high, and for me that is a Godsend. I just wanted to share my results with my fellow diabetics so if they are thinking of trying it they know my positive results.
  18. That is one of my main problems, the low carb thing, I love all the stuff I am not soposto eat, and since being on the Victoza I can eat them without shooting my sugar thru the roof. I haven't had any bad side effects from it. Before trying it I was taking 1000mg of metformin twice a day plus 95 units of Novolog and still having a hard time keeping my levels down.
  19. I have been on Victoza now for 2 months, and I would like to urge my fellow diabetics to talk to your Dr about it if you haven't tried it yet. Since taking it I have lost 26lbs, went from taking 95 units of Novolog 70/30 per day down to 30 units per day, and my highest glucose check was 171, and that was after a supper of spaghetti with garlic bread and a moderate piece of chocolate cake for dessert.
  20. OMG thank you I haven't laughed that hard in a long time, but now I am scared to go to the mall, between the gangs and butt rapists I don't feel my G30 is enough protection HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. if it goes BOOM it must be banned by King Obama!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. I had to replace my pump around 5 yrs ago it costed me $1,200 then 2 months later they ran county water here with a $700 hookup fee needless to say I wasn't happy lol
  23. That reminds me I need to cancel my Netflix I haven't used it in over 6 months but have been paying every month, that's why I hate autopay services.
  24. Yes, it is a very big SOB. I had to move my mother in with me to take care of her. It is extremely hard to watch a strong parent become the equivalent of a spoiled 6 yr old at times. My wife and I have to remind ourselves everyday that she is sick and can't help most of the things she does. I feel your pain brother hang in there.
  25. LOVE IT I am permanently afflicted with THE DUMB
