  6. Nancy grew up hunting with her dad and brother, she was just such a petite and prissy thing I never would have guessed it lol and she never mentioned it while we were dating GO FIGURE :yuck:
  7. Had to be the chevy drivers fault, driving a bowtie just proves BAD JUDGMENT to begin with
  8. Box of 222 .22 LR HPCP 38 grain, I haven't had a 22 for a while now so I figured I would pass them on : Gone to Thesquirrel
  9. I have been married to the same wonderful woman for 25 yrs now, we were high school sweethearts, and got married at 18. Right after we were married (when I was still in the I AM THE MAN stage) I decided to take my wife out in the woods and teach her how to shoot my .22 rifle. She just smiles and agrees when I suggest it (witch should have been a clue) so I take her out there and set up a target on a tree, and go through the whole "how to aim, don't be afraid of it speech" then I hand her the rifle, and she proceeds to put 5 in the bullseye, then smiles and asks "is that how you do it". I was so surprised you could have knocked me over with a feather. My wife loves it when I tell this story!!!! She never did give me a straight answer on why she didn't just tell me she already knew how to shoot, but I expect it was a lesson on underestimating her witch doesn't happen anymore from me anyway lol.    Just a funny story I figured id share.
  10. Well I don't go into federal building very often, but of course I wouldn't carry in one, I should have said I carry 99.9% of the time where it is legal to.
  11. I carry 99.9% of the time, the only time I don't is when I am in church, but my gun is in the car, I had a discussion with a friend of mine about this, he carries a .380 in his pocket even in church. I guess it was just the way I was brought up (grandma guilt) but I just cant make myself walk into the church packing, not that I am offended by Randy doing it, it just doesn't feel right to me.
  12. yeah I've been toying with the ideal of reloading for the .357 for a while now, looks like its time to take the plunge.
  13. I am having one heck of a time finding .357 mag ammo. It's never been real easy to find around Newport, but I could usually find a box or two, but for the past couple months I haven't been able to find any at all. I went to Wally world and both gun stores in Newport then Bass pro and Buds yesterday with no joy. I know I can shoot .38 special ammo in it but I don't like to. I only have 6 rounds left and its really bumming me out.
  14. There is one on campus at all times at CCHS, he sits in a little guard housing in the parking lot when not making rounds. It's usually a new city cop or one getting close to retirement
  15. I coached little league football for along time, and I hate the no winner mentality as much as the next guy, but running the score up that much is extreme,he did pull his starters after the first half, so I wouldn't have a problem with him personally.
  16. I have seen these or something like them at Kellers Guns before they went out of business, the guy tried to convince me that I needed to put two blanks in my gun so I could scare a threat and give them the chance to flee before I used deadly force     SERIOUSLY, after l laughed in his face I told him if the time comes when I have to pull my weapon to defend myself I don't want to scare the threat I want to stop it permanently.
  17. I sent him a PM for a price estimate, if it turns out as nice as some of those pictures I might have to change my mind about selling it.
  18. WOW that is awesome
  19. ok, total novice to this so I guess I need to do some online research, I had no ideal there were so many finish options for a firearm. I never really worried about the finish on my personal weapons as long as the function was good, just doing this one because I plan on reselling it.
  20. I was told by the previous owner that it use to be a service weapon for a Sevier county LEO and was traded in when they got new weapons. Not positive if the story is true but seemed believable enough. It came with 2 extra clips and original hard plastic box, so it was a great deal I believe, I was going to reblue it to increase resale value, not planning on keeping it long, so I'm thinking having a GS do it would be my best option, can anyone give my a ballpark figure on what I should expect to pay to get it done?
  21. I have found a used S&W M&P .40 for $200 as far as firing it works great, but it looks like someone took sand paper or something to the finish on it and it has some rust issues. I have never reblued a gun myself but was thinking about trying it on this one, my ? is, is this something a complete novice should try or would you recommend taking it to a gunsmith.
  22. the only thing I ever noticed after a snip is they tend to gain a lot of weight, atleast all of mine did.
  23. I say this because of my love for wheel guns and my two favorite carry holster are a Bucheimer B715 cross draw and a Don Hume H730 both made in the 60s I believe.
  24. Sorry this isn't the place for that post, just tripping alittle today
