  1. Welcome, I have a lot of family in that area, I'm sorry if you know any of them lol

    scary gun

After I reread my post I can see why you thought I meant blow up by saying fail, what I meant is fail to fire correctly causing injury to the one firing it. I guess being a revolver loving man I take to much offence to cheaply made revolvers. Sorry if I seemed a little pissy in my previous posts it's a subject I feel strongly about.

    scary gun

I didn't say blow up I said fail, shaved lead could cause injury and I have seen one at the range blow lead out the side out of the cylinder because it didn't line up right with the barrel, and I have read a ton of bad reviews on them. The one at the pawnshop I was talking about is VERY used, the front site is loose, you can turn it all the way around the barrel with your fingers, and the cylinder has a good 1/8 of a hole play in it in lockdown (trigger pulled but not released) This gun is a definite accident waiting to happen.

    scary gun

I was just wondering what liability if any would fall on the Pawnshop if they sold this gun to someone and it failed on the new owner first shot and caused injury? I mean do they have an obligation to make sure there used guns are safe to fire before they sell them?

    scary gun

I saw a very scary gun today, an old Rohm 8 shot .22 revolve for sale at a pawn shop for $125!!! GEEZ I thought everyone had trashed those POS Germany made accidents waiting to happen.
  7. I already have a nice digital scale (and a smelting furnace incase I decide to start casting my own bullets,) that I use in my small silver scrapping hobby I've been into for several years, I plan to use it with the reloading.    I have seen on some kits they list the die for .38 and .357 differently, but on some they have just the .357 or .38 I was wondering if the one die makes both on the kits that only list one or the other or am I just reading it wrong somehow?
  8. thanks, I haven't bought ammo online before, I honestly don't know why it never occurred to me to order it online instead of going to the store and hoping they have it in stock
  9. will do thanks, I have actually already been doing that after I made this post lol. ALOT of info here may take awhile to sift thru it
  10. Ok, I've talked myself into starting reloading my .38/357 ammo. I am a complete novice to this so I am asking for some suggestions on good research sites, and a good starter kit in the under $500 range. I've been toying with the ideal for a while now, and since my son finally got his stuff moved out of my building I now have plenty of space to do it away from my 4yr old son and grandson. So any advice from the more experienced reloaders on here would be greatly appreciated.
  11. Yeah there is an App for that I have it on my phone lol pretty interesting listening in especially here in Cocke County
  12. Actually it didn't ADVISE a reset, there was a bright red screen with the Norton symbol and a system reset was the only option it offered, wouldn't let me do anything but a reset.
  13. I tried raising chickens several times, we always had them growing up, but something lives around here that keeps stealing them, I've put up chicken wire, electric, and even penned them in a coop at night and somehow they still disappear so I gave up about 5 years ago.  Might be time to try again, my first memory of my Papaw is going out back of his house to kill a rooster for Mamaw to make dumplins out of. good times
  14. I went to the last one they had and wasn't impressed at all I saw a lot of overpriced guns and ammo and pretty much wasted $10 and a couple hours. I swear I saw people selling 100 rounds of .22LR for $12/$15 a box that is just ridiculous.
  15. DANG and to think I gave Thesquirrel  a box of 222 .22LR, I didn't need anymore I could have made a nice profit lol (sarcasm) I'd rather help a brother shooter out than gouge a profit from someone just wanting to pink a little.
  16. AHHHH German town, I bet you can find an awesome Reuben sandwich, IMHO one of the best things to come out of Germany lol
  17. Ok, The extra milk and bread I understand, but I never could figure out why snow = a bunch of eggs?????
  18. yeah it got into the laptop, Norton locked it down with a big red screen and advised a reset, I hadn't taken time to set up a reset on this thing so it had to go all the way back to factory, lesson learned.
  19. My wife loves those stupid facebook games and got a BAD virus on my laptop clicking on something that popped up while playing one last night, luckily Norton caught it instantly, but I had to reset my laptop back to factory setting to get rid of it. So if someone in your house plays those games be careful. Well time to go download a years worth of updates.
  20. if someone what to kill or commit a violent crime they don't need a gun to do it, if you take away guns, knives rule, take them away and the biggest stick rules.
  21. WOW I really had no ideal there was that much hate for honest permit holding CC or OC American Citizens. Those FB posts were a real eye opener for me and just made me sad for them. I firmly believe that one of the main reasons the US hasn't had to fight a war on our own soil is the armed citizens, but if most of these hot heads had there way this wouldn't be the case anymore. Just look at England in WWII.
  22. Well he did say he didn't want to sell it, maybe a way to get wifey off his back lol
  23. I would love to read the 6 posts on this
