Sent an email to Buds, they responded and told me that the HCP can't be used as ID to buy a firearm by law, REALLY?? So I sent them a link to the TBI website where it says that it can, haven't heard back from them yet.
-
We'll I gave her the HCP and she said it has to be a DL, then I started telling her that I had used my HCP on a previous purchase at Buds and she cut me off and restated LOUDLY and without even looking at me, that it has to be a DL,an HCP wouldn't work, so I ask for my HCP back and she says (again loudly) give us a minute and we will figure it out. At witch time I loose my temper just a tad and tell he to give me my HCP and I will spend my money elsewhere. Then she finally looks up at me and hands it back and I leave.
-
Yeah Buds has used mine on previous purchases, that's my point
-
I mean it's a gun store they SHOULD know an HCP is perfectly fine to use for a background check, her attitude is what really pissed me off not necessarily her ignorance I am there spending money, witch I can easily spend at several other gun shops, is a little respect to much to ask for?

Well I went, I shot, and I decided on a M&P .45 I get up to the back round check counter and this asshat blond lady tells me I can't use my HCP for the check, since my son drove it was my only ID so I tell them I have used it for several purchases including one at Buds and she loudly tells me IT HAS TO BE A DL, at witch time I loudly tell her FINE I WILL SPEND MY MONEY ELSEWHERE and walked out, Buds lost a good customer today!!

that's what I thought, his buddy is a full of crap blowhard lol I figured he didn't know what he was talking about.

I have a question. My son and I are going to Buds tomorrow and he said someone told him if you use the range you have to purchase the ammo from them, is this true? Just wondering because I have a 100 rounds of .38 I was going to run threw my .357 tomorrow but if I can't bring in outside ammo I'm just going to leave it at home.

Ok after reading ALOT of reviews and alot of internet drooling lol I have narrowed my choice of .45s down to the M&P and the Glock 30, I planned on going to Buds today and seeing if I could rent one of each and after putting some rounds down range making a purchase BUTTTT Mother Nature decided to crap all over my day of fun target shooting, so as soon as it clears up I will be heading to Buds for some side by side comparing and will post what I finally purchase. THANKS FOR ALL THE IMPUT!!!!!!

How many Americans died by terrorists attack BEFORE 9/11? Just because they SEEM to be quiet atm doesn't mean the next attack isn't going to happen tomorrow! I would rather be paranoid and prepared than complacent and taken by surprise again!!
-
That's OK you can keep it!!!!!

Yeah I have the same thing with the dryer hose, it froze in the pipe from the well to the crawl space, unfroze about 1 today with no busted pipes thank god
-
I believe there is a lot more of this going on than most people know, after 9/11 we cracked down on foreign terrorists coming into the country so the logical thing for the extremists to do is convert homegrown Islamic people to set up there next strike at the great Satan America, and I don't believe it will be too far in the future before the next strike happens.

Water froze up last night even with it running at a fast drip, first time in 17yrs.

I just happened to stop in on the last day they were open to see if they had any revolver deals, it was the last pistol they had, I really hadn't ever heard of a Canik before I bought this one, and I started not to get it lol but I'm very happy I did.

I have owned one of these guns for about a year now, and thought, on this cold winter day I might try my hand at a honest review of my experience with this CZ75 clone. I bought this gun on an impulse buy at a going out of business sale for $100+tax and back round check so total I have $123.00 in it, and after doing some online research I got one heck of a deal on it, it retails for $325-$350. It came with a hard plastic box, 2 clips, slide lock and a cheap cleaning kit. (side note both clips are listed as 13 rounds but for some reason one holds 14 rounds), and I haven't tried myself but according to the CZ forums the CZ75 clips are interchangeable with the Canik. I have found (even though I am a die hard revolver man) this gun is just fun to shoot, I have put around 1000 rounds down range with it and never had a misfire or malfunction, one draw back I have found, and several others have posted other forums about is the slide takes some muscle to rack, it can be a little tough on the fingers, and after 1000 rounds it is still just as tight. I also found, and again has been posted on other sites is that OTB the sites are about 1" high at 25ft but after compensating for it I can punch out the bullseye at 25/50ft. The factory grips are a little bulky for my taste (I have small to med hands) but I just found some thinner aftermarket grips last night and am planning on ordering a set. So all in all I am extremely happy with this purchase, and If your looking for a great mid range priced fun to shoot 9mm I highly recommend you give the Canik55 Tristar C100 a chance. If you have any question on anything I did or didn't cover please don't hesitate to ask.
