  1. I'll have to look into that! It really only do it at home. I'll have to see it that could work! Thanks!
  2. I haven't been active on here much, sorry about that. I did do a Wally Walk. My permit arrived a few days later. Nothing awkward, it did feel weird in the way that I was suddenly aware that I didn't have to rely on Monkey for protection anymore.   I now carry my Glock 29 daily. Everywhere I go. It's become a second skin to me. At home I wear it in a weird way. I have found tucking my holster into my sports bra while I am tending to chickens or yard work is convenient and it is super easy to draw if need be. I've also ordered a cancan concealment product as well which I really like. It is basically like a belt that is about 5" in height and snaps around your waist. It has silicone secure strips and it holds up to 3 guns. I have it set up to where I carry my 26 and my 29 at the same time with 2 extra magazines for each. Which is pretty rad to have that much protection and it isn't noticeable at all. It is a bit weird to get used to the cancan because if you have even the slightest bit of claustrophobia it will bother you a bit. But I am working on it. It sits very nicely on my waist/hips so that I can actually carry when wearing pants that cannot support a normal kydex holster.
  3. You know what, you're right. I'm really sorry. I guess by reading that I just got upset. The comments in the other thread plus that one just put me over my daily limit. So again, sorry, nothing personal, it just blows my mind how the topics get so off track. I love humor but when we are talking about 4 dead soldiers and 3 injured, I just think the "jokes" aren't very respectful to the dead.
  4. Can someone tell me why EVERY subject always turns to gay/TG/Caitlyn Jenner bashing? We're talking about 4 lives that were taken and how to prevent it from happening again. Who someone is or who they have sex with doesn't apply.
  5. When Monkey and I sold our home in Crieve Hall we knew we had some things to fix. We used Kyle Felts. His whole team is amazing. They actually sent someone to our home and told us what to bother with and what not to bother with. We ended up spending a little over 7,000 to get it ready for market. In the photographs it looks so empty because we had to move so much stuff. Our house had 2 offers from a Sunday open house. It sold in a day. If you don't have a realtor, I'd HIGHLY recommend Kyle. Also, we had a HELOC from our kitchen remodel a few years before. We recouped everything we put in. When the monies are changing hands, the lawyers pay everything owed to everyone. We never even missed the money. It worked great for us.
  6. We have Amazon Prime. Their music ap is free if your a prime member and it's amazing. They've only let me down once by not having what I wanted to hear. The fact that I can listen to so many albums or playlists is great.
  7. Really I only do it because it's our only option. We could do satellite but I refuse to sign contracts for service were rates change. Just seems too squirrelly. They're running fiber optic lines out here (which shocked me), so maybe soon we can have cable. I hope.
  8. Haven't seen that, I'll have to YouTube it. We stream everything we watch here, no cable out this far. We weren't even fans of TWD but we binge watched all 4 seasons on Netflix. We were hooked after 3 episodes. Even purchased season 5 on Amazon to be caught up and ready for season 6.
  9. I'll give the "Fear the Walking Dead" a chance but it doesn't look as gritty to me. I think the season 6 trailer is meant to make you think one thing and then they'll mind ---- you and go a total different route. Morgan is going to have issues with what Rick did at the end of the season. However, I think that a majority of what was shown will be dealing with "the wolves". The shot of Rick yelling at someone, I'm betting it's a wolf and not a major player. Either way, October is just too long to wait.
  10. Good news! He didn't shoot his eye out!

    10mm?

I love my g29. My husband and I both have one for our EDC and we love them. Mine is an sf thought which is much better for my hand. When I bought it, we had yet to fire his. The gentleman we bought from was really concerned that I was going to hate the recoil. I've gotta say, there isn't much more than my .45 in my opinion. I love this gun and 10mm. I've got plans to add to our collection. Also, at $400, I'm jealous of the price. You HAVE to grab that deal!
  12. Negligence. They're no different than the prison tailor who provided tools to the escape convicts. If they had any idea that he was going to do something violent, they should have reported it. Maybe the police would have turned a blind eye. I doubt it though. They could have helped save lives. To me, failure to report is a crime. Maybe my a felony, but it should at least be a misdemeanor. Edit: I realize this is a slippery slope. I realize that a law like that could be dangerous, but as a human, I'm angry. So forgive me.
  13. Monkey and I discovered a good show on Netflix last night called Sense8. I hesitate to talk about it, when I really like a show it seems to get canceled. Just found out they axed Hannibal and learned about Forever while reading. Sense8 is a weird sci-fi/action show. Although I will warn you, lots of skin and we were shocked because you see everything. The story is interesting though. We watched six episodes last night. Couldn't stop.
  14. For me, it was pork. Hated it. When I got out of the hospital, I craved pork. Every single kind. Carnitas especially. And the bathroom thing is super true. Going gluten free has helped a lot. I find it buys me more time. Or a lot of times I avoid "that feeling" altogether if I'm smart enough to stick to my diet. Also, no fast food. I avoid as much processed food as possible. Mostly meat and veg. Fruit too. Oh the sacrifices.
  15.   You men always have it easy! You can go to the bathroom anywhere, surgery is a breeze...  :bowrofl: I am jealous of your pain descriptions! Mine felt like a heart attack. I couldn't breathe, lips turned blue and it felt like I was dying. It felt like a huge knife being drove into my chest in back repeatedly. The first time it happened, it was right after lunch at City Cafe in Brentwood. No more meat and threes!  :puke:
  16. No, no, that goes around your neck silly! Crosses for the door!
  17. The gall bladder is the devil's organ. So she's right about that. The duct that had stones, was it the bile duct? Here's something they don't tell you before surgery. Once the gall bladder is out, you can still develop and suffer from gall stones. Surgery is not a cure. I had my gall bladder out in June '11. Puttering along and everything is fine. Flash Forward to November and I feel like I am dying. Again. The pain is awful, I can't breathe and something is wrong. 3 ER visits later and "Oh hey look! A gall stone." Because evidently it is so rare. A gall stone in my bile duct. So a simple scope procedure called an ERCP to get it out and everything is gonna be ok.   No, it's not. They made a snip during the procedure and because I was on medication, I continued to bleed internally. I was discharged because no one knew. 2 days later and I am rushed back to the ER throwing up blood and clots. I almost passed away. I received a major blood transfusion and a not so comfortable 5 day stay in the hospital. Here's the part the hurts the worst. My husband is right. LOL It wasn't worth it. I should have tried his way. I never in my life thought that a "simple" procedure could go so wrong. I was never told stones could still happen. It's my fault for not trying to find alternatives.    Now, I am a supplement whore. Everything I do, I do it with supplements. Western medicine is NOT the best medicine always. We've become a lazy culture. I was over weight when I needed my gall bladder out. Most people who have it removed are. We have become a very lazy society where we take the easiest path. My harvard grad should have said, loose some weight, diet and exercise and avoid risk factors that cause attacks. But then she wouldn't be paid as much. Only you and your wife know what is best for the both of you. But my husband is right. Research never hurts. If I could go back and do it all over again differently, I would have. I think I am having a ghost pain attack for writing this.  :surrender: But in all seriousness, if you or your wife have questions feel free to reach out.    Congrats on the promotion!
  18. OK, well I choose to believe that the sticker says "I'm pretty freakin awesome and I like to mock people" not "break in and steal".   Besides, one look inside will tell them, it isn't worth it.    You can have all the dog hair, empty water bottles and burned CDs you want. They're all replaceable. Oh, and I have a few Food Lion mailers they send for some reason too.
  19. I really think this stems from a long line of lack of discipline from parents these days. Personally reading the sass and just general lack of care from the OP makes me feel violent towards him. I want to treat him like a horrible, foul mouthed little kid and just smack his face. Or fingers in this case I guess. What part of community is so hard to understand?   I've only been a member since the end of December. So far I have met 2 really nice men (With my husband, that still sounds horrible), participated in a great purchase, befriended a fellow sticker lover, picked up 7 awesome chickens (Thanks again, Maroonandwhite!) and had really nice conversations with some very smart people. Sure there are some that I haven't. Yes everyone has a bad day but read my freakin list again! How awesome is that? So how can I have had such great experiences in such a little of time while someone else hasn't? Hmm.... Maybe I have been cordial and polite and voiced my opinions well while not insulting someone? It pays to be polite dude. You should try it.
  20. Wow. So glad you're ok. That is scary looking. I'm surprised he could get up and run after that. Hopefully everything gets worked out for you quickly and smoothly.
  21.   I get your thinking.. But I also think that a lot of people would laugh at it more than anything. I mean it's a mockery of the hippy one with religious symbols. Besides, if we asked them to put a caption under it, well that would just make it to busy looking. I mean it's borderline now. Don't want to over do it!
  22.       I lost my dog, Bailey, of 13 years last July. By choice, because it was the right thing to do. He was 14 and he just couldn't do it anymore. What you said above is the BRAVEST thing we can do as humans for our canine family members. I really hope your boy takes a turn for the better. I really do. When I talk to my Bailey tonight, I'll ask him to watch out for him. There is no better love than that of a canine family member. I hope Bogey gets to feeling better real soon. I also hope that you take comfort in knowing that what you have done for him so far, is a lot more than some people would ever be willing to do. And what you are prepared to do, if need be is even more. Hang in there.
  23. Agreed. I keep mine beside the bed. Mine is a 590a1 with Magpul furniture. I like it a lot but I have come to realize a few things, one of which is of I ever have to resort to HD, I will be holding my Glock. The shot gun is just too big to lug around, even after we shortened it. It just makes more sense (for me). But I also won't be leaving my bedroom. With the amount of dogs we have, I better walk out to the situation handled.
  24. She could be stocking redbox! Some of those are privately owned.
  25. See, I've dug the Crosstrek since they came out. I love my Sequoia and how big it is. We don't have kids, but we have our 7 dogs and I can transport all of them in it. Every time I think about getting something smaller, I think if the dogs. Although the only time they ever rode together was during our open house and moving. Maybe one day. I love Desert Khaki. But since my friend already ordered that, I'll stick with the Sequoia for now.
