Just my 2 cents here but I had an incident a month or so ago that I almost pulled my gun out. At a car wash in broad daylight. He was also about 10 feet away. I have always been taught the 21' or less can/will be too close. So 10' to me is totally acceptable if the threat is real. There are pieces to this story that are missing. But I can tell you that when it happened to me, I placed my hand on my gun because there was a man standing at the front of my vehicle while I was wiping the dashboard. I asked him if he needed help with something while I was getting ready to draw. He had sunglasses on, never looked away from me and never verbally answered me. He just shook his head no and walked away. I was shaken. I immediately got in my truck, told the guys at the car wash what happened and to keep an eye on him but as I was talking to them he left. I am glad it didn't escalate but I know her feeling. This will be an interesting one to watch.

I think you, Comms and I all suffer from novice impulse control!!  :rock: But that might also be what makes us pretty awesome too. You did see the new 20 I got yesterday in preparation for my ammo purchase this Saturday, didn't you? The 21 just somehow tagged along. LOL

  LOL I don't know how to answer that. To her, I could be the weirdo who prefers her jewelry to be labeled Glock. Poor Monkey doesn't know it yet but I also really like the name Dan Wesson as well and the shop has a beautiful 1911 in that is calling to me all the way out where we live. I mean if he has a Les Baer then I should have a Dan Wesson. Right?    See? Your wife would think I am nuts for preferring what I do over a beautiful white gold ring or diamond stud earrings. But I know I am not the only woman in the world who feels this way. I think I said this the other day. Make range time fun, find a gun that she really likes, that feels amazing in her hands and makes her comfortable and there ya have it. That's what it took for me. I hated the first gun I shot. It was a revolver that Monkey had. It was so small and stubby feeling in my hand that I was totally uncomfortable. The next gun I shot, my SA 1911 lovingly called "Black Betty" was so comfortable it felt like it was a part of my hand. I never looked back after that although I will say that my obsessions as of late are clearly Glocks. Which is boring and "ugly" to some, but for me, there is something to be admired in the simple things. 

This is payback for yesterday isn't it? This means I get to get that 300 Blackout doesn't it? Just remember I love you and I purchased those two guns because there are two of us. Therefore 2 more rifles for 2 of us would also be a good idea. :up:  :up:  :up:  :up:  :up:  :up:  :up:  :up:

Oh! Also, consider a lilac tree or bush. They grew everywhere up north. They smell amazing and they bloom forever. I got lucky when we moved to the new house, there was one in the front yard waiting for me!

look up a cancan concealment. It's a girl product but I have the shebang. It's made for full size weapons. I might try it just to see if it can work. If not then it's holster hunting.

Trust me, after what I spent today, I get it! 2 guns, 200 rounds of target .45, 100 rounds of target 10mm and 60 rounds of SD, I get it! As for the new guns, I'm feeling like there's gonna be a few holsters tried. I'm going to expierement with my CanCan and see what drawing is like from it. I've always been a IWB user, so OWB would be new and I don't know how comfortable I will be with that. So at that point it might be my EDC backup to my 29?!? Time to try and expierement!

I'm aching to fire that 20. I love my 29 but I know that 20 is gonna be my new EDC. I can feel it. I admit there's tons of Michigan a holes, but there's also some rad ones! As for the girls drinking hooch. Where I come from winter is 6 months minimum and all you have is snow, hockey, skiing or sledding. None are fun unless you're drunk and you stay warmer longer! ;-)

Holsters! Recommendations NEEDED! I want to start carrying these ASAP. With my 29 I either use my IWB Kydex or my CanCan Concealment belt. Any offers/suggestions on what you think is best for carrying 20's or 21's? I know it's a very personal opinion but I'd really like opinions for sure!

Gosh, we have so much brass saved it is ridiculous. Shipping would be nuts. No finders fees, we don't do that with friends. I would just rather find an easier/cheaper way to get it to you. I need to make sure he would be ok letting it go. He's always talked about reloading but we never have. Hell, last month I picked up 400 rounds of .45 from a friend who went with us. It is all he shoots and we just took it because it landed on the sheet. We shoot in an open field so the sheet helps collect it. Let me talk to the big dude tonight and see what he says but if he's ok parting with it, we'll find a way to get it to you.

What area are you in, we always save all brass but we have never attempted to reload and I don't know if we ever will. Let me talk to Monkey. That's crazy about the PPU!! I have not had any issues at all with it! But then again I have only used the 10mm kind. CRAZY. I am really looking forward to getting my hands on some Underwood!

  We live out in Jackson County. It's pretty much a laid back little area as long as you stick to yourself and mind your P's and Q's. We have 3 neighbors and only 1 is semi close. It's pretty perfect. My target 10mm is actually PPU JHP 180gr (They sell it so cheap). I got a box of CorBon 150gr today to, haven't tried that yet. I liked the Buffalo Bore we shot and I am getting ready to place an Underwood order too.   I got my hands on some Israeli Surplus ammo was I was there 100 rounds for... well ridiculously low so I grabbed 2 bags regretting not getting more but I will remedy that next week when we go rifle shopping. 

  I mean he literally called 3 times within 5 minutes which is embarrassing because #1, I cannot lie to him and #2 his ring tone in the middle of a country town, gets me LOOKS. And not the good kind. LOL It's almost like he knew I was having fun without him.

  Its the sound. I won't get graphic because I feel like we've made strides here Nick. But it is all the sound and pressure as it is happening. Are yours erupted or impacted? Make that appointment once you get the plan worked out, they will take a panorex which will show that awesome Cali-noggin of yours and all the teeth. Then you'll know for sure. That's also part of the cost of the FMX so don't worry about additional fees.

We could never be friends in real life. We'd be living in our vehicles due to how much money we spent on our "toys".   Monkey got a 29 for his birthday (surprise purchase after a talk one night watching The Walking Dead). It was too chunky for me. We went to the shop I was at today and they had the 29sf with NiBS and I held it and the fat lady (me) sang. It was heaven.   Range report will happen as soon as weather is warm enough or I get a winter coat. We actually shoot down behind our home. Which is a perk of living out in BFE.

  I hate jewelry. I do however love the feeling of spending money on really useful items. I took these over to my friends tonight and she looked at me like I was insane. Personally I think I am totally wonderful and perfectly sane, I could just care less about girly crap that has no use.

  This trip is YOUR fault. I mean... my Sequioa! I really would have preferred the 20 to have the Nickel Boron finish slide to match my 29 but hell, once I held it, I wasn't leaving without it! It just felt too good to put down. I won't even begin to make excuses but I will tell you the 21 came home with me because it was WAY to good of a price to pass up and I love .45. What was shocking to me is that I didn't need a 20sf. I thought I really would but I held it and it was just perfect. Even my husband was shocked at how good it felt. I told my husband the other day between you and WarPig talking about 10mm's and other guns, it was going to cause our house to expand a bit. I was totally right! :up:

  If you read a few of the feeds there are a few comments from time to time of people being sick of the Michigan people coming down here and ruining things.. lol I try to be a duck and let it slide off my back but deep down, I'm still the girl who grew up on Lake Michigan. Sometimes it cuts a little deep. :surrender:  :rofl:   Also, I think after this trip and what it costs, we might have to wait to take the truck to the shop to have it looked at. LOL She seemed to be fine the rest of the way home? Maybe a fluke!

  One of the owners of our local gun store has a love of weird/different and he's a 10mm fan. He always has 10mm ammo of all kinds in stock which really helps us. But he's actually the one who talked me out of it after he told me his feelings about the company that makes the gun. Apparently he has had an issue for a completely different item so it's left a bad taste in his mouth. I will wait a bit longer and see before I order one. If I do.

    I gotta agree. You might not get fruit, but there is nothing as beautiful as a weeping cherry or a yoshino cherry tree. They are knockouts!

  This was almost done today once you posted it but me as well but then I ran across a sweet little rifle that I will be hopefully snatching next week. Fingers crossed. I'm partially blaming you for my almost purchase! It's not good for me to know other fans of 10mm. :angel:

At no time do I ever claim to be a saint. Really. And if you knew me 6 years ago you'd have hated me like any other Michigander that I read about on here. I was so unaware of guns, gun rights, gun safety and anything else related to them. However, that's not the point at hand. I was out today, mailing something and all of a sudden I lost control of my vehicle. Now Sequoias do have a few known issues but this one was new to me. I somehow ended up at our FAVORITE local gun shop in Livingston. Which is a bit from our house so it's still a mystery as to how my vehicle ended up there. :ugh: I do remember oddly talking with Monkey last night about adding some things to the collection and working on beefing up our ammo. So maybe the Sequoia just heard that convo? I dunno... but somehow I ended up with these: A Gen 4 Glock 20 And this beauty, a Gen 3 Glock 21sf with Nickel Boron Slide Now, if I ever lied to you and told you that I am sad about somehow ending up at the gun store, well I'd never forgive myself. But I did however fib to a certain Monkey when he called me. It was almost as if he could sense something was going on. Well I told him I wouldn't be able to meet him for lunch because I was tied up mailing letters. He called me back a few minutes later and told him I was busy checking out at the Food Lion in Livingston and I would be to his work shortly. As my wonderful, awesome and helpful sales clerk was helping me finish my transaction Monkey called a last time and said "Food Lion in Livingston? Umm... yea, tell Anthony hi for me." Well shoot. The gig was up. DANG IT. :rofl: But once I ran by his work and he saw what I grabbed, he was very OK with it from what I could tell. I don't think he even remotely expected it because we had talked about going next week but that pesky Sequoia had other plans.. I also picked up a lot of awesome ammo while there. I cannot say enough about the guys at The Livingston Gun Shop and Trading Post. Except that once they know your weaknesses, they try really hard to get you to leave with as many items as possible. There was talk of Monkey possibly needing to take my keys away.. LOL I however blame it on the items I have been reading about on here lately. LOL Either way, we have 2 new family members and I love them A LOT.

  Some of us, mainly me are actually Michiganders hiding amongst you, since there seems to be a strong dislike of the mitten people. :rofl: I hope this all pans out for you well. Lastly, wisdom teeth if fully impacted or partially impacted are a B!^%& to get out. I thought I had the guts to do it awake with Valium sedation. Ummm yea, no. ALWAYS do IV Sedation when and if possible!
