Today's haul... Let's just say I am tired, the sleigh was stuffed full of everything from scratch and pine shavings to this little haul. I cannot begin to tell you the kind act that happened to me today. Partly because it's top secret and partly because it's just not super important. What I will tell you is this; I am always amazed at the people I meet on TGO. Sure there's bickering or jabs. But the smart people, the good people and the kind people that are members on this forum is beyond amazing. I've met a whopping grand total of 5 members now and they've all been a pleasure to meet. 6 soon if/when Comms ever gets off his duff and comes to collect the brass. LOL So thank you, because this is a pretty good group of good doobies.

I had them trained for the longest but one of my Roos was such a butt head today. Every time I would get the girls in he'd call them back out. He's reaching his sexual peak and his attitude is awful. We might be having spitzhauben for turkey day. LOL

At this point my head is ready to explode. I have a chicken in a dog crate in my guest room because her leg is hurt so the crate is up on my queen size guest bed protected by 6 mil plastic. I then let the rest of the bums out to free range and play and NONE of them will go back in. My Spitzhauben Roo seems to be the issue because when I get the girls in he crows and they all run out. I am about to test out the new AR.   Positive note: Our may babies have all started to lay. We average about 6 eggs a day now but yesterday we had 8 which was a high for us. With 13 hens, I am feeling pretty good about that.

Thanks! It's actually a Faxon 20" Flame Fluted Barrel. It's a 1:8 twist. I haven't had a chance to shoot her yet, once I do I will let you know. I went with it after we had an issue with the 16" barrel I chose because of the adjustable gas block. Because I had to go 20" and have more of the barrel show, I chose this one. It was also recommended by one of the guys at the shop who recently did a build with one.

  I know that feeling. I try to compensate. Like the other day I bought him a bottle that was around $100. He'd never do that for himself, he feels guilty buying Blantons or Rowans Creek. The nicer it is, the less likely he is to buy it. Which is where I step in. He's the Breadwinner and he deserves the "best". So if this Pappy does the trick, well then at least I did something right!

  It's totally worth a drive to Knoxville for me. I've been chasing it for the 5+ years we've been together just to say I got him a bottle. I buy him 2-4 bottles every couple of weeks and I've always wanted to surprise him with one. This won't be a surprise but he is shocked that he actually is getting some. That feels good.

Hey just an FYI, that Adele album dropped! I'd wait a few more days maybe and see if a deluxe version comes. They always have a few acoustic songs and she's best that way.
