  1. Joey's is thee best. But keep your butt moving in line and know what you want. I love the family fighting that happens while your there. Also, west Nashville has NY Pie and sometimes I really feel like it's as good as or better then Joey's. So that's pretty much it for decent pie in Nashville. Thank god my nose and fro hide my face.
  2. Agh! Agreed! Especially a 1794 edition! Whew! That's a big ol honkin truck. Made in Texas. If you trade up, make sure you share!
  3. Way to go! Congrats. Glad they had a moment of clarity and did the right thing.
  4. The girl can eat. But it just never sticks. I felt like a Jewish/Greek mother because J constantly worried about her weight. The vet looked at me, said relax, she's not like your Rotties. LOL She's already home safe and had her breakfast. I really hope they enjoy her as much as we did. She's a quirky girl but she's also amazing and sweet.
  5. I can honestly say I know beyond a shadow of a doubt she went to a good home. We're both driving home like idiots sobbing. Monkey is big and strong but he's a softie inside. She will be so well taken care of it's the only thing bringing me comfort right now. I think we were just meant to be there and step in to help. Life has a funny way about working out like that.
  6. Their new Titan is pretty awesome. But it looks like a ripoff of a Ford Raptor to me. Again, I would never buy anything new unless I had a boatload of money. But I guess we'll see how it plays out once it's released.
  7. She's a social butterfly. She likes anything and anyone. She's terribly smart and resilient. Which is why I know she'll be ok. With dogs, her only requirement is she be allowed to be the boss and hump heads. My poor little terrier mix who was a wee bit shorter than her was her favorite victim. LOL
  8. I feel like in a way she's kinda everyone's dog so I thought I'd update you guys. I know I told you the Monkey and I were going to keep her. When we originally got her from Reef, she was a rescue, then she blended in so well. Flash forward two weeks and I realized that not only would she be better suited as an only dog or dog with 1 other dog. But I also realized she was going to take time for obedience school. With our huge pack, it just didn't seem fair to turn their lives upside down. When we initially took her, I had a PM from a member here who sent me an offer of help. To say I was shocked would be true but I should know better then that. The offer was to help with Vet bills, boarding or whatever she needed. Also to adopt her if we didn't keep her. What a great person, right? Well, Daisy has been completey vetted, spayed and given a clean bill of health. Due to a very sad incident at our home we've sorta had her there to cheer us up during a big loss. But today we're heading to Lebanon to meet up with her new owners who will give her an amazing life and focus on her. I'm VERY sad to see her go, but I'm thankful she's going to a good home who truly wants her. So she can technically still be the TGO mascot if needed. LOL I am going to miss her, but I have a slight feeling her new owner will want to share pics and posts about her with all of us since she's so amazing. Also, wish him luck on the food front. She's a hearty eater and she never gains weight. 5 cups of dry and 2 cans of wet food a day. In two weeks she only gained .1 lb! I'll let him reveal himself when he feels like it, but just know, this forum is a place where people truly care and help each other and animals and for that I am grateful. Thanks everyone!
  9. I just saw something today about that. About replacing the screws provided for the lock with 4" screws.
  10. Ahhhh! Good point. Didn't think of that. I think it's pretty rad, I wouldbonly be able to use it at home though since I don't have an office. Or job. LOL
  11. I feel the exact same way about Farm Bureau! Only our renewal was right at the beginning of the year and it just wasn't time to shop with holidays. I'm making a note to start shopping early this year. We use Zander Insurance who got us a policy that basically cut our 3 cars monthly bill in half while adding guaranteed payout coverage for my classic car, should something happen. I'll let them handle the house next year instead of renewing with FB.
  12. http://www.torquenews.com/1084/update-subaru-oil-consumption-class-action-lawsuit Just a link. Like I said, only certain models and years. Just a cautionary tail. Kinda like I'd be nervous about a Jeep because of the hacking issue. But it's all like that now a days, they've all got issues. Personally I am a Ford/Dodge fan but the new Dodge commercial about how proud the brothers would be of the 2016's made me laugh. Really? Fiat owns it. We both have 2005 vehicles, while some people could never hold on to a vehicle that long and like to upgrade, I'm hesitant to jump into the new. Keep it simple, no screens, no sat nav, no onstar. I sound like my grandma but it's true. They newer they are the more costly to repair. My friend popped the hood on a new Hyundai he bought his wife and I cracked up. The engine bay had a piece of plastic over it with their logo. If I can't change my own battery/oil, no way.
  13. I have a cousin in Michigan. He's owned a Subaru as long as I can remember. But he just traded in his Forester because of the issues he was having with it. Apparently it was burning a quart of oil a month and that was "normal". I'm also pretty sure there's a class action going on because of it. Do some research on Subaru Oil Consumption Lawsuit. I know it is only certain models in certain years.
  14. A nice man shared here shared them. Then Monkey's nice wife bought him 4. Just in case this snow melts and we ever have company.
  15. Keeping weirdos out? A .25 security device? I'm puzzled but still though "hmmmm" because I hate being home alone.
  16. Wow, so different. Ours is like fresh powder. It pays down really nicely, it'd be great for sledding or skiing. We had to walk around and clear all the bird feeders. It's at least 4" here.
  17. I honestly have no idea where Tellico Plains is! I've ventured to Monterrey, Livingston, Hilham, briefly Sparta and that's about it. We're in the southern part of the county so maybe that's why I don't know it? But you're right, it's beautiful where we live but close enough to town. The summers are easy. I lost my "allergy issue" once I left Nashville. This was my first year with no sinus infection/bronchitis. I love it here!
  18. It's spitting it like crazy here on the plateau. I don't know how many inches we are at but it is pretty much a blizzard at this point. Due to Jackson County not plowing most of the back roads we're here until it clears up a bit. Which is sad because I could use a donut or two right now from Ralph's.
  19. Let us know about that Slaughter House, we saw that but didn't grab it.
  20. The single for the movie is by Chris Cornell. That's worth checking out too. "'Til the Sun Comes Back Around". Just downloaded it on iTunes.
  21. Good one!!! And sounds like what we run into around here!!! LOL
  22. I didn't watch C.U.'s, it's like nails on a chalkboard. I like this host though. I don't know if he's funny all the time or not but he sure has a great knack for this. The Rod Stewart one was good. The one with Mariah made me yawn. The beginning of Stevie Wonder was good!
  23. Even if it's from the other side? :/ Couldn't help it. What I love most about her is her voice. It's amazing to me that someone who sings so beautifully then opens her mouth and when she speaks she sounds like Eliza Doolittle.
  24. Good point. Also, this weekend only Prime memberships are only $73 instead of the usual $99!!
  25. Guys. 4th. Lemmy Bowie Rickman Adams Everybody keeps forgetting Lemmy because they're dropping like flies.
