  1. If that's what they are doing I guess so. No I meant that there is no need to buy special shells labeled for one purpose or another.
  2. Again just marketing bs IMHO. Depends on what discipline of shooting you are buying shells for. Skeet I like 1 oz #9 2 3/4 dr 1145 fps. For 16 yard trap I like 1 1/8 oz #8 2 3/4 dr 1145. For handicap I like 1 1/8 oz #7.5 2 3/4 dr 1145. For doubles I like to shoot either a light load and a heavy load or just two of the same loads. For sporting clays I like the fastest and heaviest shell I can get ~1300 fps and 1 1/8 oz #8. It's just personal opinion. I think it is all just how its labeled all shot that you get at Walmart will break a target regardless of what the damn box says. Except #9 on trap you'll be fine.
  3. Just marketing bs. I tend to stick with #7,#7.5, or #8. Yes they would work.
  4. I went to buy some last night and they were sold out of these ones I wanted. Should have bought them earlier
  5. No I think the cheapest you can get is $5-$5.50 if you get cheap lead. Those dove loads made by Federal are pretty good.
  6. Hope you like them. Good luck turning money into noise
  7. How about you do the 10th and I can do the 17th so we can have two weeks back to back.
  8. Montgomery County Shooting Complex 4201 Southside Road Southside, TN 37171 It has an archery range, 25-100 yd rifle, 200-400 yd rifle, pistol range, a "tactical" range ie you can shoot steel with a handgun, a range to pattern your shotgun, trap, skeet, and sporting clays. They may have 5 stand too. Do you need to know anymore?
  9. I'm just saying that because there is one place close but it's not the best place. That means we either go to Clarksville or eat there.
  10. Good to hear. I picked up a Century because I didn't want to get burned on a new gun purchase.
  11. You can always go hit the rifle range
  12. So who's bringing food?
  13. If only I had some money to blow. I love the Gen 2 guns. I feel if the next generation of Glocks had the finger grips removed, had Gen 4 texture, and a grip reduction we would truly have perfection.
  14. I'm waiting to hear back but we should technically have at least one bay to ourselves for pistol and a trap and skeet field. We can always meet up in their storage/conference room to eat and talk.
  15. Steel targets with pistols, trap, and skeet. I didn't say anything about rifles but I always can add something.
  16. That should be ok. They can be a little strange it but as along as you have your paper work by their rules they can't do jack.
  17. I'm just going to plan for 10 people. Look forward to seeing you there.
  18. Yeah they are funny about stuff like that. I did shoot an MP5 over in the last bay one day. So can I put you  down?
  19. I also need some info on what you'd like to do. Rifle, pistol, shotgun, steel, etc.     We can do whatever. I'm feeling like some steel shooting with pistols and some shotgun sports.
  20. Montgomery County Shooting Complex
  21. It'll be all day if I can help it
  22. I'm going to MCSC on October 17 to do a range day. It doesn't seem to have interested too much interest. Here's a link to the thread and I apologize for thread crapping http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/89661-next-tgo-meet-and-greet-range-day/ .
  23. The date is set for October 17.
  24. You've got mine beat. I just have flags in my room.
