I haven't shot a yote with a 17. I did kill two foxes which were dead right there at 100. While I like my 22 Mag better I have had better luck with the 17 HMR. I don't know what it is but the round with a 17 gr bullet is like hitting small animals with a lightning bolt. Yes. All I shoot is steel. I've hit man size silhouettes at 100 with it. The ammo isn't any less accurate than anything else I've shot. Buy the crap out of it and shoot the crap out of it.
