  1. I have a metal detector and have been unable to find the metal posts that were supposedly set to mark the corners. One corner in question was a post marked as P.O.B. wood post. Do you have any idea what that means? Would it be ok if I scanned the survey and sent you a copy for a little guidance? Just trying to make sure my plan doesn't put my garage on the neighbors property.
  2. I am getting ready to build a garage. My neighbor and I are a little confused about the property line. He has a drawing of the land that was done by a surveyor, but we are not sure about the markers he used for the property lines. Just trying to keep from making a very expensive mistake. Any help would be appreciated. Just thought I would check here first so that I could pay another member instead of a possible anti-gun person. I am outside of Celina and only about 5 miles from Dale Hollow Dam. Thanks in advance for any help.
  3. Not an answer to your question, but turkeys come right up to the windows at work. We sit and watch amazed. Any other time I have seen a turkey they run. I have been told that they will fight with their own reflection by head butting the glass to the point they bleed. I would never have believed it until I seen it for myself.
  4. That's a good idea. I am gonna have to try it.
  5. I have a 22 mag henry and I love it. I can't remember the last time I seen 22 shorts.
  6. I love the show and I know there will be a third season. I seen it on CBS website.
  7. I will second the SR9c. I have one and love it. Mine came with a 10 and 17 round mags and a grip extender for the 17 round. Very nice pistol and I believe they can still be found for around $430.
  8. I just moved here 3 months ago from the Indy area. At one time I lived close enough to hear NASCAR. The track is in a fairly crappy area of town. I would suggest looking at Avon or Plainfield area for hotels. They also just recently built a J.W. Marriot in downtown Indy, but I can't help you with prices. All 3 areas are within 30 minutes of the track on  normal day. Good Luck on your searches. I know they get a lot more expensive for race time.
  9. I'm not much help, but I really like 25.5 grains of cfe 223 with my 60 gr vmax.
  10. You seem to be pretty level headed and are getting  a lot of good feedback. The best advice I have to offer is to do a little shooting first and then decide what would be best for you. As I really enjoy introducing people to firearms, I would be willing to let you shoot some of my rifles to give you some experience. I am not very far from you and would be happy to let you come by and shoot a few. I have a mosin, ar, 30-30 Winchester model 94, 30-06 handi rifle, and probably a few others that I am forgetting. Let me know if you are interested.
  11. I don't know where to get it, but a friend of mine has made a few rifle slings with it.
  12. Watching some of these videos makes me want to try a competition. I just have no idea on where or how to get started.
  13. "Don't spit on the cop's burger"
  14. I have had a R1 enhanced for about a year now. It is a pleasure to shoot. It has fired anything that I have put in it.   The only difference is I don't have the threaded barrel.
  15. There are some sick people out there. It is a damn shame that someone can't protect them self in any way they see fit. These laws restricting handgun carry to 21 just doesn't seem right. If you are old enough to defend this great nation, then you should be able to protect yourself with a handgun at 18.
  16. I didn't understand any of that either. I am only 35. I have never had much interest in gadgets past just using them.
  17. My lathe is too short. Story of my life...
  18. I have a Remington R1 Enhanced. It is a great 1911 and would recommend to anyone.
  19. I just started reloading about 6 months ago and I bought the lee classic turret kit. I like it a lot and if I want to use it as a single stage, it only takes a second to deactivate the auto indexing. You can set up your dies and never have to remove them. I have 3 turret heads set up. Someday I will step up to a progressive, but as a beginner I have enjoyed the slower speed. I can do about 150 rounds an hour in 9mm or 45acp.
  20. I just read on another forum that a lot of guys are using a countersink bit mounted in a drill press. I am going to give this a try when the temp warms up a little bit.
  21. White wolf, I go through there a lot. My favorite shop is The Gun Shop. They have a lot of reloading supplies.
  22. Thank you everyone.
  23. Hi all. Just moved here from Indiana. I love firearms and reloading. I hope I can help someone on here, as I know I will get plenty of help for myself. Thanks again. Ron
