  1. I carry a small .25 semi-auto from time to time. Easy to toss in my pocket and go...but just like some of the comments already said, if I'm going to be somewhere I'm worried about its a 45 or 9mm instead of the .25. With that said, my wife is not a fan of small 9mm hand guns...tried a few and she didnt like the recoil so 380 was the better option for her. I might suggest that instead of a 22?
  2. Why not just carry a 9mm and a 45...?
  3. thanks for the welcome!
  4. Im a big fan of Mettenberger and I think he can do good things as long as he has the protection to throw the ball...I watched him develop at LSU and I think he's the real deal but he's getting hit WAY too often right now.
  5. The courts will never let that happen...even if you get the most anti-gun judge in the country to go along with this case, the higher courts would slap it right back down. IF they let the people win against the gun manufacturer then they would be saying that people are no longer accountable for the actions they take and the courts will never ever let that happen. Cars dont kill people, people behind the wheel kill people...same goes for a gun. Never seen a trigger pull itself. Plus, laws exist for gun manufacturers that make them exempt from certain liabilities because lets face it...they make a product that is designed for defense, injury, and death.
  6. Never in a million years will they win this...if they win you'll see people suing car manufacturers for wrecks, alcohol companies for alcoholism, etc etc etc...humans would no longer be at fault for anything which they obviously cant let happen. With that said, the comments in that article show how little they know about guns...
  7. thats good to know. Sounds like I'm pretty close to where he is so I was going to take it to him either way. Thanks for the info guys.
  8. Price isnt too big of an issue as long as its done right the first time. As for the 2nd Amendment Coating Company, I did find them earlier this morning and it looks like they are a prime candidate to coat the gun. I sent them a message earlier to get an idea of what I'm looking at and how the process works. Do you know if they do disassembly or if I need to do it and take them the pieces of the gun after its broken down?
  9. Im in Franklin south of Nashville and I have an older Browning Hi-Power I would like a gun smith to look at. Currently it has the standard walnut grips and original blue job with fixed sights. My gun does have a few small rust spots but nothing deep enough to be an issue. Do you guys know of anybody locally who you would trust to do a refinish and possibly some trigger work? I found a guy who specializes in 1911's and Hi-Powers that does really good work but he's in Pennsylvania and I really dont want to send my gun that far away to have work done unless I dont have an option...plus I'd rather give the business to somebody local. I am looking to make it look like this gun...not exactly like it, but the picture at least gives you an idea of what I'm wanting to do. I would like to keep the factory engraving if possible "browning logo, etc etc". It looks like this gun was possibly cerakoted so thats an option I'm also considering. Thanks for the recommendations.
  10. Was searching for a good gun smith in the Nashville area to get some work done on a Browning Hi-Power and I stumbled across you guys. Good looking site!
