  1. Yup, two of those bucks in Hardeman county were mine....
  2. Found it...thanks db99wj....I guess it was because I was little tipsy last night that I jusy couldn't locate it.... Thanks
  3. Sweet deal!!!! Glad to hear that fellow shooters got taken care of. I have the app for my C&R here......just need to get off my ass and send it in...damned...there goes that drinking thing........................uh what.was I talking 'bout. P.S. we NEED a drunk smiley!
  4. Ok, maybe because it's 11:45 Pm and I've had a few, but....what the heck are ya'll talking about? Did I miss out on some fantastic deal.....Russian you say?
  5. Actually check the commercial Appeal. online..the memphis paper...there was an ad for something like 350 acres for lease for $1000 per person, or if a whole group wanted to lease $6000 for the whole lease....I think it was in mcnairy county... Just trying to help.. GOOD LUCK
  6. Since I end up spending so much time in the woods (hazard of my weekend job;)) I run across a fair amount of sheds...but I never run across a matching pair. Helluva score mason!!!!
  7. I've used the SA ammo before and was VERY impressed with it. It performed as good as the 7.62 ball that I have "liberated" from Uncle Sam over the years. I'm running low now...like one battle pack left, so if anyone DOES know of a good source please share the wealth, especially since I have recently got a hankerin to get a CETME.....like I have room for it in the safe and hopefully the wife won't find out or else:bat:
  8. Gcrookston...please correct me if I am wrong, and I probably am...the drinking thing again...but last time I looked through a Unertl scope...fixed 10x on an M40A! the bottom of the crosshairs were approximately 5 mils south of center...at approximately 3 MOA per mil that equates to 15 MOA...and if you are 1/4 to 3/4 OFF???? bottom that would add another 5 MOA for a grand total of 20 MOA off at 1000 yards.....am I correct or totally misunderstanding. I am NOT attacking you at all please don't misunderstand....I am just trying to follow what you are saying....Please clarify to a younger.....drunker.....guy.
  9. +1 for drinking alot........ -1 for doing it while shooting....... I'm not shooting right now soooooooooooooo................... As to my 257 weatherby, 6.5-284 norma or......338 lapua. All VERY flat shooting rounds. As to availability...257 weatherby hands down.
  10. Ba Humbug, I've said "butthurt" to you at least a couple of times .......hehe see you saturday charles
  11. Yaaaaa! Can't wait. As a matter of fact just this weekend was OIC for our H&S POG's on their 240G range. 60 dudes who hadn't fired a round through that weapon system since MCT. FUN...let me tell you..Just glad the grenade range was cancelled..."Um ...sorry 1stSgt, they uh, forgot to order our grenades...uh, yeah that's the ticket"......
  12. GOD I hope NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh wait...the Messiah IS in office:screwy:
  13. My wife hunts with a 21 inch 870 20 youth every year. She has yet to complain. I think she has some 3" federal duplex loads, but I could be mistaken. Anyway, Toms die!!
  14. Try XS sights. Thy make sights for Rugers, and possibly others. If they don't make them specifically for the Rossi, ask a gunsmith if a certain model can b "made" to fit your revolver.
  15. It's testimonies like this and a couple of others that made my mind up for me. I have decided that my single tage is too slow for bulk reloading, so my best friend and I are going in on a Dillon 650. They may cost a little more than some of the other progressives out there, but they are worth every penny, especially with customer servic like this.
  16. Here is a classified ad from the local Memphis paper http://memphis.kaango.com/feViewAd/13760982 I believe it to be a little steep:screwy: How bout ya'll
  17. Ok, let me preface this that I believe it is GENERALLY how you raise the dog that determines how the animal acts. The one and only up close experience I have ever had with a wolf hybrid ended with me having to shoot the damned thing several times. Short story....Family had farm in Fayette county. Neighbor had wolf hybrid. Dog gets out and maimed one of our horses. Then decides it doesn't like us. SEVEN 40 cal rounds later it died 3 feet from MY feet. But, like I said this was my one and only experience with a hybrid, and I do own two Pit bull mixs who ae BABIES!!!! One of the mixes ( actually I think he's full blooded but being a rescue we call him a mix) beecame the best friend of an 18 month old child of the family that fostored him while my wife and I were both on active duty last year. So I don't TRY to make blanket statement about animals...................but I'm just saying. I also don't like Arabian horses......but that's another story.
  18. No, i'm down at H&S in New Orleans. When I first got off active duty I was Kilo, but the sniper platoon is with H&S. However I have a friend or two at India. You know anyone there, or any of the other 3/23 companies.
  19. Yeah.....I know.......but one can always hope:rolleyes: oh well.....all will be good though:tough:
  20. You will definately enjoy it. Are you a vet or will you be working as a tech. I worked for years as both a small and large animal tech and actually went to college for my animal science/pre vet degree. I gnerally care more for animals than most humans. "At least you don't see them f***ing each other over for a percentage" Additionally, I will be going to Africa this year to provide support and security for an Army vet mission there. Good luck..
  21. I said after sniper school that I wasn't going to attend any more "ass beating" schools. But, I've been trying to get to jump school for almost ten years. The Corps just doesn't like to send that many people. I hopefully will get that chance this fall. I WILL take the seat if I can. Plus, I'm hoping they might take it a little easier on a Staff Sergeant. I just hope I can get this new round of back and knee issues ironed out before a seat becomes available.
  22. And I'm the dumbass that is trying to get a spot in jump school at my age....what the hell am I thinking???
  23. Dude, that sucks!!!!!! A friend of my wife who has a lawn care service has been hit a couple of times recently. Thieves are SCUM. i can't wait to move out of this city. I'll keep an eye out, but the wife and I both have drill this weekend in other cities, but we'll keep on th look-out.
  24. Absolutley spot on. The only additional thing I could recommend would be to add a laser during dry firing, if possible. This will actually show her how much a "tiny" flinch will move the muzzle, and consequently, the strike of the round.
