There's still many ways to protest and resist right now without starting a hot civil war, if some mag ban is passed and I can't find new mags to buy all I can do about that is write my reps, but if some kind of registration or turn-in bill is passed, millions of gun owners can resist by not acknowledging such an un-constitutional law. I keep reading some who seem to fear that if you resist there will be armed storm troopers breaking down your door, just how many LEO's, feds, soldiers etc. are there? Are there enough to search "MILLIONS" of households for guns? I certainly don't plan on caving in and hope no one else does because we are just too many for the government to deal with and I believe they can't completly trust all the LEO's and military personell to follow orders to attack American citizens. We may have an opportunity to put the politicians back in their place somewhat, at least show them that the people still ultimatly rule.

Proposed Illinois Bill, anyone see this??
K191145 replied to rugerla1's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
These spoon fed control freaks don't care one bit about curbing crime and stopping psycho's from murder, it's all about their ideal of turning Americans into their subjects, turning America into their fantacy of an authoritarian, European type of socialist republic where they have the ultimate authority over every aspect of our lives. They could actually be diagnosed with some type of obsessive compulsive disorder, obsessed with power and control over people. -
What to do if the ban passes...

I kinda get a sense that you may have some negative feelings about Diane Feinstein. :) Anyway, she's just one out of many traitorous socialists but she is the current leader of the totalitarian elitists. If something this un-constitutional passes, the only thing to discuss then would be who is willing to defy the illegal law. -
Permit holder looses gun in theatre. Found by children

Knowing humans I can see someone loosing their carry gun, I bet it happens quite often just being careless and unaware. I wear a pancake holster that slides an inch or so between belt loops so i'm always adjusting it when I stand and sit and often feel my handgun through my shirt. And I thought I was being a little over-paranoid about loosing it. -

It's hard to imagine people who spent thousands, and tens of thousands voluntarily turning in their guns for a $25., Dollar General gift card, this could very well be that "scenero" where actual shooting happens if something this anti-American and un-constitutional were to pass. I can't see it passing but it is Illinois controlled by the Chicago syndicate. I hope those who took the oath to defend the Constitution would refuse to confiscate guns from American citizens, those who do follow illegal orders and violate Americans constitutional rights are undoubtly TRAITORS to the Constitution and United States. They would be no different than some American who might have collaborated with the Nazi's in WW2, or sold military secrets to the Soviet Union. -
Well, another good thing about the sales surge is that 16.8 million guns sold this year can't be banned, and I do believe many new buyers are getting theirs before the ban "attempt". Also there's a huge increase in NRA memberships.

They still don't know what you have, many that I have bought and filled out the 4473 I don't own anymore, and many have been bought through a private sale so there's no paper with my name on it for that gun. Is the government going to mail out 80 million firearms registration forms? Are they going to go to 80 million homes and search for firearms? If they do send out forms i believe most all will be paper shreeder fodder. It's logistically impossible to register 300+ million guns, especially when most who own them will refuse to register them. Do they have 80 million armed soldiers to come and arrest you? Are there 80 million prison beds to house you? If only 1/8th of all gun owners refused to comply, there's really nothing the government can do about it and I believe much more than 1 million will resist.

From the artical. 16.8 million? that's quite a few guns this year.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/crime/gun-sales-surge-in-virginia-after-newtown/2012/12/28/0ad349e8-511a-11e2-839d-d54cc6e49b63_story.html I know there's been other threads about surging gun sales since Obama was elected and re-elected, and some have critisized people for panic buying but if they ever had a real reason to panic buy, now is definatly the time. I know it runs up prices but I can understand why people are buying, and i'm glad they are. I'm sure many who are buying up the AR's already have at least one or adding one to their collection of non-semi-auto long guns, then there's many who may own very few guns who want theirs before the ban. Anyway, it shows us and some politicians that there are alot of people who still believe in their right to own firearms, and it shows the consequences of "TALK" from capitol hill about strict gun legislation, you just wind up selling more guns. And do they really think all these buyers who have just spent $1000+ on their new symbol of individual freedom, will simply turn it back in, or sell it back to the government for $100, or even register it? So right now I do believe all this panic buying is a good thing, if I had the extra cash I would be looking for an AR. Another thing, if we stop any new legislation from passing, and a decent conservative canidate is elected POTUS in 4 years, there may be some good afordable AR's for sale from those who panic bought this year.

I voted no. It is nice to see at least those who participate in these online polls arent buying the propaganda the media and administration is spewing. Maybe there's more people than we think that are not so keen on all this gun ban talk. I know a couple of Obama voters who don't agree with the proposed bans so they might not have the support they think they have from the general public. At least i'm hoping so, not that it would make any difference to Obama, Feinstein, Reid etc.

The media has been intentionally deceving/lying to it's viewers for quite some time now. Anyone remember this back in 2000? The second video is from the actual story. -
That's what I was wondering, I have a feeling there's not going to be many hi-cap mags in stock when they vote on something like this, they will be all sold out. So how in the heck are they going to know if anyone "transfers" their mags to someone else unless caught in the act. So what if it becomes illegal, the media can violate the law without punishment, the administration can violate the law without punishment, can change and make up new laws without congressional approval so why should I or anyone else give a crap if it's illegal? Don't us common peasants get to violate or ignore a law or two every now and then, or is it just the elite and state controled propagandists who get to ignore the law?

Maybe we can at least convince Corker not to support any anti-freedom legislation, I don't see him being a strong voice opposing it though. Now I don't trust ol buttkisser Alexander not to support some waterdowned version of Feinstein's bill, we really need some good conservative libertarian canidates to replace Alexander and a few more. Lately it seems we have been choosing canidates out of the old used book bend, nothing new and exicting, same ol boring story.

If Canada can't run and fund a national firearm registery how does this spoon fed socialist control freak think it can be accomplished here? Besides that, there's a few million more here in the U.S. with the attitude that she can go register her stupid ugly face before we register anything. I have to admit, I don't like Feinstein very much. :) -
Sorry about the typo, the fix is off a little since it was an image file I had to erase the y and cut and paste the rest.

Sometimes I wish I never signed up for a Facebook account, I still login but don't post alot. I've seen too many people, some real close air out their dirty personal laundry for everybody to see. Anyway, I'm going to like the hickoc45 video and see who responds and how.

Well said. One thing I didn't agree with, although I know what he ment was that if some total ban did happen, many patriots who will not obey the ban will be ex-patriots. I believe that it will be the "real patriots" that will refuse to comply with a total ban. Our founding fathers risked their lives defying and disobeying British laws, they were the first American patriots.
