    A/C Help

All motors except for 3-phase motors have capacitors, 3-phase systems are large industrial systems so you don't have that. It's definatly cheaper to replace the capacitor, I hope you didn't have to boost the fan to get it to run very long, that may be hard on the motor to run without a capacitor. Most motors have a start/RUN capacitor so it needs it to run also. Just use common sense if you try to replace anything, of course disconnect the power at the disconnect box outside and search for a company that sells and repairs motors, not an AC supply company because most wont sell to you unless you work for an HVAC company. Be sure to carry your old capacitor, probably a 5uf/370vac for a residential size condensor motor, you can go up to a 5uf/440vac but don't go down. Hope that's all your problem, small capacitors should be only a few dollars unless it's a duel capacitor also supplying your compressor.
  2. It seems that it's really no more of a national news story than some street shooting in Chicago or Memphis, but since it happened at a college the media is going to play it up.
  3. I believe I stated that I will fly the "Stars and Stripes" over anything else, and the "Stars and Bars" is the confederate battle flag. Please re-read my original post.
  4.     That would flip some bedwetters out, kind of a pirate thing.
  5. Anyway, I noticed I say anyway alot.
  6. Hold on now, I said on another thread that I will always fly the Stars and Stripes proudly higher than any other flag. Also I don't advocate succeding from the U.S. but the country is divided right now and we are going through a rebellion, so far a peacefull rebellion. In reality the Bolsheviks(liberals) should stop flying the American flag and fly the Hammer & Sickle right now because they are disrespecting the flag by supporting Obama and his Un-American agenda. Anyway, as states and cities have their own flag I thought we should design a new flag to fly under the Stars and Stripes to represent the unity of states and patriots who are rebelling against the destruction of America. I know we have the "Don't Tread On Me" flag and people would flip out if anyone flew the Stars and Bars so I thought we could design a new one. Anyway it might be fun to design your own flag, I always liked straight lines and stars, maybe a circle over pictures of animals or vegitation, but a Minutman might look cool. Here's one "rough" desigh done on the paint program.
  7. Of course the bills are just proposed right now but it is sending a message. I fired off another e-mail to Mary Littleton yesterday urging her to support HB0042. BTW, this really is turning out to be a confederacy of states in a way, confederacy just means an alliance or league. You can have a confederacy without succeding from the country. The good ol Stars and Stripes will always fly higher than any other flag I may fly someday.
  8. Now some legislators in Missouri are proposing a bill to arrest and charge any feds who violate a citizens 2nd amendment rights with a class D felony. I believe that's 12 or 13 states proposing these bills now. 13 states and we have a new Confederacy don't we? :)
  9. In the 60's when southern juries failed to convict KKK members for murder of blacks and jewish and white protesters, the federal government stepped in and charged and convicted them with violating the murder victims constitutional and civil rights, IMO, in that case I agree with the feds and at least some justice was served. Federal agents are no more immune to justice and arrest than any other individual citizen for violating a persons civil rights. It doesn't matter if they were following orders to commit an illegal act, they are just as guilty fo carrying it out. If anyone can excuse or thinks the feds have immunity for violating an innocent persons constitutional rights then they personally have already been defeated.
  10. I remember that dude, talk about guts or crazy that guy had it. I hope if the SHTF I would have half his guts although I may be a little more tactical about it. Well, as tactical as my old fat a$$ can be.
  11. Excellent, that guy is the most qualified speaker i've heard about government tyranny and what happens when you don't have a right to keep and bear arms. Too bad that video wont be shown on TV.
  12. We are seeing a unity come together now in the gun crowd, even those first timers. I wish that dealers would sacrifice $35 on a $400+ purchase and sign every gun buyer to a 1 year membership to the NRA where they would recieve 1st Freedom magizine for a year. I'm a redneck from day 1 so much of my wardrobe is camo. I was in the Army when they went fron OD green fatigues to the camo BDU's, I was excited about that, I was jealous that the Jarheads got to wear camo and we didn't.
  13. I have had alot of complaints about the NRA in the past but I do realize that if they didn't exist we would have very few if any 2nd Amendment rights right now, there's no denying that.
  14. We need a good laugh every now and then, especially now. I do want one of those DeWalt AR's.
  15.   I am polite to those who are respectful and polite back at me but you know the ones who don't deserve any civility from us, if only we had a majic mute button sometimes.
  16. Fixed that, thanks. I never noticed the icon wasn't on there.
  17. Politness does have it's limits though. As history has shown us time and time again, the meek doesn't inherit the earth, they get trampled in the ground by horse hooves and tank tracks.
  18. Don't forget a couple of high capacity nail "clips"
  19. They are going to do that anyway no matter how you act, you can't appease them. They hate you more than they do the Taliban and Al Quada.
  20. I would hope that there would be enough division in the military on this that the top brass would refuse to obey any order of police action against American citizens. The top brass realizing that morale and unity in the military could seriously be damaged if such an order was carried out.
  21. I know we are not close to a shooting war with the government, it's just that there's alot of people that I would like to tell them that they are dolts and suckers for believing the media and their propaganda, including a family member, and some other people I know I would like to tell them what they can outright do with themselves. This restraint and politness is hard to manage sometimes when others don't show the same.
  22. Sorry, when I type several long paragraphs I look at the key board more than the screen, I still type with two fingers, typing and spelling were never my talents.
  23. Well i'm already a member and have written my reps., and plan on writing them again but i'm not taking anything for granted. Like a poster said on another thread, (can't remember his name),i'm really mad as hell and i'm sick of walking on eggshells for these people. There may very well be a time when there's no more Mr. Nice Guy.
  24. In the later 1700's not only did our founding fathers, but tens of thousands of patriots risked their lives and homes by being branded as traitors for standing up and fighting the British for their freedom. Speaking of the British, in 1940, the British people endured being bombed and risked being invaded, and tens of thousands were killed by standing alone against Germany. They could have signed a peace treaty with Hitler and temporarly avoided that but they had the courage to fight. The question is, how much of that courage do we Americans have now and how much are we willing to endure for our constitutional rights and principals? Since Obama and his merry band of Bolsheviks have begun this latest blitzkreig offensive against the 2nd Amendment, we have been advised not to appear like radicals, don't wear camo at the rallies, don't show Molon Labe or cold dead hands signs, be polite and try not to scare those who are uninformed and influenced by the media. Now we all know what the reality is, we are definatly not going to get a fair shake with the media and there's no chance in hell the gun owner haters are going to back off so I assume we are trying to influence those who are on the fence and are naive about the media and their political agenda. Anyway, at what point do we ramp up the fight to the next level? Do we wait to see if the Senate or House actually passes something? What's the next step then? (Now i'm not talking about armed conflict or making video's threatening to start killing people),but is it time to start literally sticking our middle finger in the faces of those who hate us and demonize us, maybe at the next protest physically block certain media outlets(MSNBC, CNN) vehicles from getting to their destination and setting up? They don't care about our rights so why should we care about theirs? Instead of being polite start being rude towards the patriot haters, strongly warn the reps who seem not to be serious about representing us that we will see that they don't have a job the next election, make signs deplicting Obama as a tyrannical dictator etc.etc? I think you see where i'm going.   Also, are we willing to risk putting the nation in a constitutional crisis(which I believe we are already in one)with the potential to put the market in a freefall causing a big economic hit? Are we willing to stand our ground and flat out refuse to "turn in our AR's and AK's" even at the threat of arrest(Molon Labe)? Will we have some of that old timey courage to do what it takes? If we did that I wonder if some of the fence sitters might say WOOOHHHH and demand Obama to back off of us scary radical gun owners. Anyway, sorry for the long rant, just want to know what the plan is if our current defensive fails.
