I predict this post from nra37922 will be the most liked post ever on TGO. Had to stop a guy from cutting a hole in a flat roof with a sawzaw of a building we were installing a rooftop HVAC unit on, he was standing in the hole he was cutting out. I had a little dark temptation to let him continue but I couldn't let him get hurt.

Why not get involved even in a different state? Bloomberg stuck his Marxist little New York nose into their politics and you can bet other anti-constitution advocates from all around America are sticking their nose into it so it's really a national fight. P.S. I'm going to stop calling them "anti-gun" and call them what they really are, "anti-constitution".

I would like to see us fix some of the problems in 2014, the problem is who do we get to fix them? The same ol butt kissers and back scratchers, on new butt kissers and back scratchers? -

Still there's enough blind robots who will only listen to some administration propagandist,(main stream news reporter) on BSNBC that will tell them it's all the republicans fault and they will believe it without question. -

Those tasers can knock your **** in the dirt for sure, they are better than nothing but you have to get too close to use them for protection. A long time ago when they were called stun guns my friend bought one for his wife at the gun show. We watched the guy demonstrate arcing the charge from a rubber handle knife back to the taser. When we got home I took a pair of thin rubber handle pliars and arced the charge to it, needless to say the charge went up my arm, it twernt no fun that's for sure but it gave my friend a good laugh. I think that one was just a weenie little 50K volt taser, I would hate to feel double the charge.

I'm glad I never had anything like that happen with a ma deuce, I saw one all cracked up and the barrel seized after someone firing it with improper headspace, that was probably minor damage. The .50 BMG round has alot of power behind it.

Back in the early 80's at Ft. Stewart our company was at the range firing M60's, one of the activities I really enjoyed. Many many times it was drilled in us that if we had a hangfire just to keep the weapon pointed downrange and announce that you had a hangfire and "WAIT". Well I had two malfunctions, a hangfire and a brainfart at the same time. When the M60 went click I immediatly raised the feed tray cover, removed the belt and pulled the bolt back only to see the cartridge still in the chamber. It's funny that sometimes when you screw up you realize it while you're screwing up but it's too late then. Well just a fraction of a nano second when I saw the cartridge a semi-loud pop happened and a cloud of white smoke was in my face, I was a little dazed for a second wondering where I had a cartridge case implanted but luckily it must have been blown out of the chamber and hit the bolt and bounced over my shoulder, but the most lucky thing of all is no one but me and my m60 crew member knew what happened so we didn't have to hear "stupid MF'r" and all that. I'm sure the velocity of the case in the face wasn't enough to kill me but it sure wouldn't have felt very good. BTW, I did remove the barrel and looked down it to make sure the bullet cleared.

They certainly tried to make a big deal about it at first before they knew some facts. I can see Nancy Pelosi crouching behind a desk saying, Oh please be a white man with an AKR4715, Oh please be a white man with an AKR4715. After hearing what really happened she and all the other Marxist liberals were dissappointed i'm sure.

I just tell everyone who says clip instead of magizine that high capacity clips that hold over 10 rounds pretty much don't exist anymore. There were a couple of WW2 Japanese machine guns that used a 50 round clip of sorts but i've only seen a display of one somewhere. Then I call there little Toyota Prias a Honda or something. What difference does it make? It's a shame about Marlin, I have a 30-30 I bought back in 82, one of my favorite guns to shoot.

Just one more thing the media seemed happy to report, gun permits, i'm sure they mean carry permits will not be issued during the shutdown because of so-called cuts to the ATF. http://www.wvec.com/news/local/Government-shutdown-could-keep-people-from-getting-gun-permits-225871281.html -
Pulp Fiction. Pulp Fiction taught me a very smart lesson to carry my firearm with me to the bathroom. At least Travolta felt relieved before Willas wasted him with his own sub-machine gun. Don't get shot with your pants down. :)

Zero Tollerance is OUT OF CONTROL!

I said before that I don't have any kids but if I did I would do everything I could to send them to a private school. I would like to see alot more affordable private schools, I would love to see some day, public schools lose half of their students and funding to private schools. If that were to ever happen i'm sure the progressive liberal marxists in government would try to ban private schools, well except for their chosen few children. -
I know I have shot WW2 era 7.62x54 and 30-06, I saw R.Lee Ermy shoot WW1 era ammo from a Pederson device on a 1903 Springfield. All rounds fired with no problem, just keep your powder dry I recon.

$1 box of vintage 12 guage I bought yesterday, they are clean and dry, I wouldn't have any problem shooting these. They are about 40 years old and brag about being plastic. Sorry for the bad quality pic.

The OP needs to all a poll to the thread. My vote is still the Barrett because it was the brainchild of a Tennessean, designed and built in Tennessee. I know some are thinking vintage history and about some of our famous Tennessee hero's but you can't get any more Tennessee than the Barrett. Embrace the modern era. Plus the Barrett really pi$$es off the liberal anti-gun crowd. :)

I wasn,t the biggest Perot fan but he proved that a third party can make a difference in an election, some say he helped Clinton win over Bush 1 but the numbers still had Clinton winning without Perot. Perot got "I believe", over 20%. That's big between 3 presidential candidates. A third party can win if more people believed they can.

There's always the "third party" candidate to vote for. Don't always have to vote either dem or pub, there's liberatarian and independent etc.

High School Textbook Revises Second Amendment
K191145 replied to gun sane's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I don't have any kids but if I did I would have no problem telling them to inform the teachers and their friends of something wrong in their text books, or if the teacher tells them something that's wrong. In todays society we may have to tell little Jonny or Jane that their teacher or books may not be correct, as a matter of fact they might be downright lies. -
I'm waiting for a call to ban those shotgun bullet clip extender pipes on 8K70's.

Damn straight, I'll take my dripolated cup of black Maxwell House anyday over those high dollar cups of coffee. If I want a cup of Starbucks i'll just let the last inch of MH cook for 2 more hours on the burner.

We just have to remind any reps considering voting for any gun control legislation of the two new "UN-EMPLOYED" reps in Colorado.

I hope he calls you soon to tell you he's okay.
