The only names i've ever called them were Glock, Ruger, Remington etc. Recently when the subject came up about naming your guns I named my Glock 21 BUBB. (Big Ugly Black Brick).

I would hope they keep rates affordable if they want people to purchase their policies, if rates are too high people will not buy insurance and flood the ER's with colds and stubbed toes. ER's are already a nightmare anyway.

Back in the late 90's I used to skydive at West Tennessee Skydiving near Somerville which looks like just down the road from Henderson, the area is not very populated which I like. Like I said, alot of cotton and flat. If you move to Henderson you're not too far from Memphis, the best thing about Memphis is a big sign halfway across the Mississippi river that says Welcome To Arkansas. :)

I suppose you're talking about Henderson in Chester Co., west TN. It's not listed as a dry county, I live in middle TN so I don't know much about the area except cotton is grown there.

  Don't pay attention to "those kind", they get off on acting like they know everything there is to know about everything.   I know how some hate using Mythbusters but they did a test where they pressurized a plane to equal 35K and shot a hole through a window. It made a 9mm hole and a wistling noise. some loose paper blew around a little.

I started skydiving in 82, there was a bad accident in the 80's involving a Loadstar at 12K and I believe only 2 of the 12 were able to get out of the plane. What happened is that the plane stalled at altitude when all the skydivers suddenly moved to the back where the door was, the plane went into a spin and the G forces were so great no one else was able to move much less get out. If I were to speculate I would say that extream G forces from a spin kept the skydivers from getting out of the plane.

  I know they will try to make some examples, get some media hype and all that and many will obey the law even if it is un-constitutional but i'm sure there's also many out there who will make sure their guns go to someone they know without them being registered which is the real intent of such a law. I'm sure many of us have firearms that were purchased through a private sale already, probably passed through several different owners and would be almost impossible to trace. I'm sure they will pretend with the help of the biased media that they are making some difference but always the reality tells a different story. I wonder how making people sign for Psuedofed has curbed meth manufacturing and usage, since meth and pot and cocain etc. are illegal there shouldn't be much of a problem in the country with it but there's only soo many feds and LEO's to enforce laws. There's still going to be alot of gun owners who are going to give or sell a gun to a family member or good friend and no one will ever know anything about it. Anyway, the best solution is to be sure your rep doesn't vote for such a bill and registration doesn't become a law.

  They couldn't possibly know if a transfer happened with a firearm bought before such a law might be inacted, unless someone squeeled. I guess if anyone decides to transfer a pre-law firearm to a friend or family member after such a law was inacted, be sure you trust who you're transfering it to.

  Well I have plans for mine, the ones I own now if I ever get sick or something happens to me and they damn sure are not going to any government scrap pile. 

There's thousands of illegal gun transactions between felony gang bangers every week all over the country, they catch a "FEW" but that doesn't have any affect over the whole issue of criminal gun transactions. Even transferring to someone you don't know, it's highly probable that it's not an undercover fed, but some dude who wants a good deal on a firearm. They can catch a "FEW", but they can't even put a dent in private transactions of guns.

Just one question, how could they possibly know if I sold a pre-private sales ban handgun to someone else? They can't know when I sold it and if I did someone would have to tattle, or the gun was used in a crime and they traced it back but they couldn't prove when I sold it. Like many laws, it would only be a "feel good" law to anti's with no real affect.
