Gun confiscation is on the table in Conn.
K191145 replied to jphillips63's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Another thing these idiot authoritarian politicians need to think about once one story of storm troopers killing some citizen while raiding their house to seize their guns, is not only will they start decent patriots rising up in arms,(possibly literally), they will give an excuse to the probable thousands of Timothy McVeigh's waiting and wanting something to happen. -
This will be a great opportunity for a patriotic act of civil disobediance. I don't have a wood burning stove and no place to install it but now seriously considering looking for one, law or no law. I'm really getting sick of this crap, really getting sick of this crap.

Anybody been to the range at Cheatham WMA lately? I haven't been in about a year, I would like to go this week. I still have a ziplock bag of old 70's .22 I scrounged up the other day i've been wanting to shoot up. I also want to shoot my handguns to get the rust off me.

That's probably when the (cold) civil war will becomes hot. It will be interesting to watch what happens here, we haven't heard much from NY which may be a case of the left wing media not reporting the real story there or fabricating numbers of how many gun owners are actually obeying their law. Anyway, Connecticut is a hardcore blue liberal New England state which I assume had fairly restrictive gun laws in the first place, if they are having this many people up there standing up for their rights, like I said earlier, think about how some federal registration or ban law will be recieved in the southern or western states. I doubt there will be big lines to register or turn in your guns in Montana, Utah, Oklahoma, Alabama etc. I'll bet the farm that the authoritarian minded socialist government of Connecticut has/had future plans to eventually confiscate these registered so-called assualt weapons and magizines. Why the hell would they pass a law to register them if that wasn't a future consideration? 1. Registration 2. confiscation.

Huge difference between criminal behavior and standing up for constitutional rights, refusing to acknowlege or obey an un-constitutional law, a law in itself is illegal under the constitution, is a patriotic act of defiance. George, Thomas, and Ben and many more patriots defied and broke the laws of England and were considered criminals and traitors by the monarcy. The people of Connecticut who refuse to acknowlege or obey registration laws are true patriots.

Something about the state can't get the meds anymore to execute prisoners. I thought the state had a perfectly good electric chair, just dust it off and plug it in.

Ninth Circuit strikes down CA "May Issue"!
K191145 replied to Chucktshoes's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Just like Heller in DC, The California legislature will not acknowlege the decision and will probably not be punished for it. Still the decision itself is a small victory of sorts, a positive ruling on the 2nd Amendment. It's just a shame we even have to have any court rulings on the 2nd Amendment. -
Just my SPECULATION, sounds like maybe a murder for inheritance money. If convicted he will inherit a cage for the rest of his life or a needle in his arm. He deserves that inheritance.

I still can't help but to wish Nagin had alot of nice expensives firearms just to see his face when they are taken away from him. I seriously doubt he has any since he had the luxery of having armed body guards, you never know though. If it were my decision I would give any firearms he had to the theft victims of NO's, the innocent ones he had his police steal legally owned guns from.

Was Serpas involved in something? I haven't heard anything about it but of course he isn't cheif of Nashville PD anymore. I'm sure he's a good little mouthpiece for whatever mayor is in power at the time. I always invisioned Bredesen or Dean with their hand up his backside moving his mouth like a puppet so he would say exactly what they wanted him to say.

Saw a sign in a store years ago in E. TN going to Dunlap, it read, "Helen Waite is our credit manager, if you want credit, go to Helen Waite".

Now that he's a convicted felon he can't legally own any firearms. :)

May not be a conviction for his crimes against the Constitution after Katrina but at least some justice will be served against this tyrrant. That is if they give him a proper sentence.

Any lawyer can make enemies, when you deal with anyone and anything in the legal system someone can get hurt or screwed bad in some way. Now killing someone with a bomb no matter what they did to you is a lowlife, careless way to do it because bombs are indiscriminant, can kill an innocent person. Someone has to be totally thoughtless of others to kill someone with a bomb. Don't know what the details or motivation is, maybe this lawyer really screwed someones life up. I might actually feel a little sympathy for someone if that was the case, if they had shot them or killed them in a way that wouldn't hurt or kill someone else but when you use a bomb the guy is going to rot in jail for life if i'm on a jury. Now a vengence killing I wouldn't excuse totally because it's against the law even though I might understand, if some dirtbag murdered someones family member and got off and they killed the dirtbag with a crowbar or something like that, I may have to find them guilty of littering and fine them $100. Anyway no one knows the motivation, I can't make an opinion except that using a bomb is thoughtless of innocent lives and whoever did that is a scumbag killer for that reason alone. (edit) P.S. Wartime is a different story and killing terrorists with bombs sometimes is the only option. Besides there's usually no innocent people hanging out with terrorists.

LOL  I don't know what you think about South Park but sometimes they hit the nail on the head. Your post reminds me of an episode where many in SP became liberal and moved to San Francisco, they became soo smug and self rightous and into themselves that they had parties with empty crystal wine glasses that they would fart into and sniff it. Pretty much portrays a typical sanctimonious liberal elitist.

2 1/2 years. That scumbag was convicted in Florida for armed robbery and 2nd degree murder and I think was released after 8 years, you will probably get that much time in a NY prison for possessing a gun with no previous crimminal record. The big question is why a murderer and armed robber was released after 8 years. The system can be a load of BS sometimes. http://www.wkrn.com/story/15536044/man-who-sold-gun-that-killed-mcnair-out-of-jail

Permit Renewal by Mail in 15 Days
K191145 replied to mikegideon's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Well the last HCP renewal by mail was around two weeks for me but this time i'm going to the DMV as painful as that is because the postal service screwed up on me getting my DL the last time, my HCP and DL expire on different years. Actually both the state and post office screwed up. Official forms demand a street address and most don't leave a space for a p.o. box(mailing), I always add that somewhere on the form and envelope and print clear(MAILING ADDRESS) P.O. Box ## but NOOOOOOoooooooo, they had to go and send it to my street address and even though my local PO knows who it goes to they have become jerks and sent it back to the state so within a week before it expired I had to make some calls and finally got it sent to my p.o.box. At least going to the DMV they will take my money order and give me my reciet that day and I don't have to trust the mail to at least get it to them, only to recieve my permit. That wasn't the only problem I have had because I have a p.o.box, the very next day after I found out what happened to my DL I installed a big ol mail box at the street next to my drive with big street address numbers on it so now I have a street mail box and a p.o. box. -
My ammo expires only after it leaves the muzzel. :) I also recycle expired ammo even though I don't reload, used to know a few recyclers to donate expired ammo to. Maybe I should say temporarly expired.
