1. gunfreediningtennessee?? Well the site has been around a few years now and I still have to laugh a little that these clowns who started this site are still so far from reality that they don't realize that all their work on this site hasn't had a miniscule effect on business of restaurants that do allow people with HCP's to wear their handguns. I would like to tell them that the vast majority of people don't even think about it and really don't give a crap, the emotional panic is gone because there have been no shootouts in restaurants. Well, maybe a few clubs where alot of gang bangers hang but most are posted and they had shootings long before the law was changed but no decent family restaurants and no shootouts between HPC holders, just criminal gang bangers who probably have felony records.
2.   So it's about 4 months, no need to panic now.
3.   I'm sure those will get you arrested, fined and jailed in DC.
4.   Arresting someone, giving them a criminal record, monitary fine and jail for a shotgun shell and a bullet for a muzzle loader goes far beyond idiocy, it's really a lowlife thing to do to a person. Obviously the DC/DA and judge involved don't care about causing unjustified grief to a person just to show that they are in control over them in any way they personally choose.
5. How many months ago was it when they sent you your renewal notice? Mine expires in Oct 28 2014.
6. Reason number 2000 i'll will not visit that city, wont spend one dime there to support their economy. Pretty much the same reason I wouldn't have visited Paris during the Nazi occupation. If we ever elect a halfway decent real leader and the voters of DC kick out all the traitors to America, restore freedom like the founding fathers intended, then maybe i'll go. But as for right now, no way in hell will I step over the DC boundry.
7. How about "Oriental Carp"? I still say black, white, Indian, oriental, hispanic to describe someone, whoever doesn't like it will just have to deal with it. Some black dude who was born and raised in Tennessee is an American, not an African, no more than i'm english. I'm a Native American, I was born in America, my parents were born in America and so was my grand parents but I have no indian mix in me. I will say American Indian to describe them, still don't know what to call American Indians whos ancestors were from India. I wish everyone could ignore these politically correct idiots and just respond to them in a smart a$$ way, (yea whatever dude) or something like that, just refuse to acknowledge their idiocy.
8. I actually do have an ARK4715 Glock assualt knife. :)
9.   Still kinda sad when they have to "restore" freedoms but at least it's in the right direction. What I will never understand is why some people have some kind of mental brick wall where they can't see the simple fact that if someone is determined to commit a crime with a knife or gun, it doesn't matter what kind of law or how many laws against knife or gun crime there is, they will still commit the crime. Decent people who obey laws and have respect for their fellow humans are not going to commit crimes weather they can carry a long or automatic knife or a gun. To me it's fairly simple and logical but that seems to escape some people.
10. 1st comment on the new knife law, i'm glad they are removing the restrictions on knife carry, restrictions that only punish law abiding citizens. Now I guess we will hear predictions of wild west stabbings in the streets. Thing is, even with the restrictions removed i'll probably carry the same ol Case XX standard folder with a 3 1/2" blade that i've carried for years, just my preferance. I used it just yesterday to open a big bag of bird seed. As a southern boy I have carried a pocket knife since I can remember so I can wittle a stick, clean a squirrel, dig a splinter out of my finger, cut the twine off a bail of hay etc etc. I remember trading them in ELEMENTRY SCHOOL and no one gave a hoot much less called SWAT and CNN. Anyway, if anyone ever asks me if i'm going to start carrying some kind of automatic knife, fighting knife, an ARK4715 Glock assualt knife, i'll say naaa, why should I when I carry a gun? :) P.S. It will be nice to know I can carry what I want even though i'll carry the same ol knife Uncle Kenny gave me 20+ years ago.
11.   I don't believe in the moon, I think it's just the back of the sun. Quote: Janitor, Scrubs.
12.   It's a shame to have to tell your kids that their teacher or book is "WRONG" but it seems necessary these days. It might come down to someone reading textbooks, printing out a textbook error correction pamplet for parents to give to their kids. Of course it's the parents decision to tell their children the truth.
13.   Well like i said we can't know exactly what we would do untill we were faced with that situation. I would "hope" that if that occured I would do what I could to stop it. I don't really think about it much because it very most likely isn't going to happen. I believe that if I ever get into a defensive situation where I draw and fire my handgun it most likely will be a close encounter, home invasion, car jacking ect.
14.   There was only one way out of my area of KS, KS/Fairview rd. to Fairview. It's a long ridge that's away from the Harpeth. My brother on the east side of KS was completly trapped, just a bunch of islands. My cable went out and my sister had an extra digital converter so I drove to her house to get it, had to go to Fairview, 96 to White Bluff rd to WB, 70 back to KS to my sisters house. 25 mile drive one way when she only lives 2 miles from me but Turnbull creek was 5 feet over the bridge to her house. Got the converter and antenna, 25 miles back to my house just to discover the cable came back on. This would have been a great video for the news if that hillbilly hadn't been talking on it. Turnbull Bridge Kingston Springs 2010.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtcxQ9qIi74
15.   Actually the tornado was a small one, still was an interesting experience though. Living on a hillside blocked some of it but the barn in the flat field below me got splattered. That still can't compare to the flood of 2010, 20" of rain in 2 days, I knew a few people that lost their homes in that.
16. I'll take a little snow any day in March than a tornado March 1st. 2012 comming down the street I live on.
17. I think it makes the day more interesting, at least it's not boring.
18. Well I haven't heard anyone here complaining but I hear alot and read alot on FB moaning about a little "COOLISH" temps and a few flurries in March. Please, it's embarrassing, it's a freaking normal March in Tennessee. I have lived most all my exsistance in middle TN except for a time at Ft. Stewart and I have seen warm March's, cool March's, warm then cool then warm then cool March's, snow in March and tornado's in March. That's the way March is in Tennessee, just accept it. Folks in Montana are laughing at us. :)
19.   I really hated trading my Kimber 1911 but reliablity is my #1 priority in a carry gun, I like my G21 but it's a big handgun, after carrying it for a while it made a full size 1911 seem almost compact, at least in width. I would like to go back to a 1911 if i'm comfortable it's reliable. Out of all the handguns i've had and shot, that Kimber 1911 just felt the best in my hand, could put the front sight on target faster than any other and it was a tack driver, more accurate than me. I shot it alot when .45acp was alot cheaper and I could draw and have the safety off and on target pretty fast I thought but I also shot that gun more than any handgun i've ever had. I like my .357 revolvers also but when I do make the choice hopefully soon I think it will be another 1911. I've seen some good reviews on the Remington R1, reliable and accurate, also it still looks like a good ol basic GI 1911 with a few moderen improvments, sights, ejection port and magizine well, not over done on the custom features.
20. I keep all my receipts of every gun I have bought from a dealer, of course I don't have any from private sales. Ask him if he has the original receipt. I actually keep a copy of my receipt for my G21 and SP101 in my wallet because they are the two I carry, just in case i'm ever questioned by a LEO about them.
21.   That's my advice. Keep it out of sight and don't tell anyone about it, not even your best friend.
22.   10 days in Tennessee I think. That's how many bills became law when Bredesen was Gov.
23. One secerio which is very rare may be the "active shooter" scenerio in which you may engage someone at a distance. They probably will have a superior weapon but I believe that personally it would be pure hell on my conscience if that occured and I had some ability to stop them and retreated to save my skin. Of course I haven't been in that situation so I can't say exactly what I would do, only what I hope I would do. I'm sure many here have thought about that scenerio. Anyway, I have argued about my snubby revolver and I believe it's sufficient for most self defense scenerio's but I mainly carry it for convienence/compactness, I have seriously been thinking, when it becomes affordable to me of one of two handguns I want, a Remington R1 1911, or a Ruger GP100 in .357 with a 4" barrel. Probably going to be the R1 simply because when I had my Kimber I could shoot better with it than any other handgun I ever had, even could make some 100 yard hits on a man size target. I traded it in on the G21 because the Kimber wasn't as reliable as I liked but I can definatly shoot a 1911 better than a G21 anyday.
24. Well cool, at least you wont be fired for it. I can understand a few occupations that it wouldn't be a good idea to wear a handgun on your side like a lineman for the electric company or a fireman etc.
25. It's always funny to me that these idiots rave about guns when they sell a product, when abused, has contributed to more injuries and deaths than personal firearms ever will. If he's been in business long he's probably allowed some drunk to leave his pub, get in their car and kill someone on the road or highway. People like him are stuck in this mentality like when Bob Costos made that moronic remark about how if a 250+ pound football player didn't have a gun he wouldn't have killed a 110lb woman, when in reality if that big football player hadn't been raging drunk and p!ssed at the world he most likely wouldn't have killed that woman. If he didn't have a gun he would have choked or beat her to death easily. I wonder what pub/bar/club/liqor store he was in getting drunk and mad before he killed her? The gun was just the tool, the booze was the trigger.
