I "EXTREAMLY" value my constitutional rights so I guess that makes me an extreamist. I'm getting to where I don't care what some people think or say about me anymore, if you don't agree with their liberal beliefs then you're an extreamist and racist and ect.ect. Those words have become a joke nowadays. Some people are not worth arguing or debating with, my response to them is, Oh well, there's not a damn thing you can do about it except b!tch and moan and call people names.

Well, normally that would not be any big deal much less worth posting about but this guy had a compact Glock on his side and walked right into the post office, technically you're not supposed to have it anywhere on federal property but he made no effort to conceal it or leave it in his truck. I'm pretty sure he wasn't a federal marshall, definatly blue coller. He didn't go to the office for anything but he's taking a chance that one of the workers might report him. I believe the guy who was working the counter today would have just told him not to bring his handgun in the P.O., maybe, he seems like a nice enough guy. Anyway, I've stopped many times at the post office when a local LEO was there getting his mail so this dude is taking a stupid chance IMO, open carry in a federal building. Maybe he's ignorant of the law, if he's not carefull he may get an education in the law. BTW, i'm not opposed to open carry so i'm not making a general open carry argument.

If SHTF, I would go with a Ruger GP 100 with a 6" barrell. I can take a deer, hog, and it's a definate man stopper all in one gun. The downside is capacity but the upside is the power factor if you need it, I would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. I would practice, practice, practice fast reloads, as fast as you can do with a revolver with a speed loader or maybe have it altered to take moon clips. I like the Ruger GP 100 because it's a tank, a little heavier to absorb recoil and probably the strongest .357 mag revolver there is. If SHTF i'm not worried about weight or concealiblity, I just want a tough accurate, reliable handgun that I can take large game and also protect myself from bad guys.

If they are trying to sabotage the poll it isn't working out very well for them it seems. Seems like the pro-constitution believers are more organized than the anti-constitution liberals and socialist foriegners. Or could it be that no one hardly visits CNN's website? Kinda reminds of Air America when the liberals cryed about conservative radio not being fair when all along all the liberals had just as much of a right to air their own talk radio shows and they got a dose of reality when hardly no one ever tuned in to them. But that was Bush's fault wasn't it?

LeVar Burton seeks to bring back Reading Rainbow
K191145 replied to Chucktshoes's topic in General Chat
My childhood days were the 60's, I guess I watched those shows, I still remember(very little), Romper Room. I never heard of Reading Rainbow either. Later in my childhood my favorite show was Roadrunner and Wileecoyote, very educational. I remember wanting to strap rockets on my back wearing roller skates but I didn't trust Acme very much. -
Same here, I hit NO and nothing happens. I wouldn't doubt if they just locked the "NO" votes, CNN just like BSNBC and the others are dishonest propaganda organizations with a clear liberal agenda.

Here in Tennessee there's far more businesses that allow carry than not so those who put up the signs are in the minority. Just like the restaurant bill some time ago there are a few who cry and moan about it, and they get some media attention for a few days but it doesn't take long for everybody to forget about them including the media. If enough of us wrote our reps and senators we could get it changed some day more like the Oklahoma law. Most businesses wont really care except for the few who put up their signs, they will cry and moan again and get a few days of media attention, a couple of weeks later it will be forgotten about just like the restaurant and state parks bill. They will have to get a backbone and confront someone, or force their employees to do it, or just accept that someone is carrying in their business.
-
I like the Oklahoma law, I agree that any owner of private property weather a resident or business has a right to tell someone to leave their property for any reason, if they refuse then they are commiting criminal tresspass and should be charged with a crime. That should be fair for the property rights issue. No fine or charge for carrying, but the owner, or employees of the business if given instructions from the owner can tell you to leave the property.

I could actually get decent defensive accuracy without the blade in it, just kept the front sight in the middle and could keep all in a paper plate at 10 yards fairly fast.

Finding something you really want on Ebay and its not buy it now
K191145 replied to Rightwinger's topic in General Chat
Not related to the topic but, I heard on the news that anyone with an ebay or paypal account needs to change their password, apparently the sites were hacked. Maybe true, I guess it doesn't hurt to change a password anyway. -
I had a Thunder .380 years ago, it was fun to shoot and reliable. I couldn't sight it in though, the sight was so off when I adjusted it to center, I took soo much tension off the spring the rear sight blade flew off the first shot. Good luck on finding that tiny little thing. I ordered two more and lost another so I just left it off center so I wouldn't loose my last blade. It really felt good in the hand like the Walther PPK and I think they are cool looking guns.

I would list the dumbest states as those who continue to elect politicians who legislate their rights away for the "common good", continue to raise their taxes which never really improves their state and regulates the hell out of business.
-
I didn't say all of them are but many that I read about in news articals or hear about on the news are so radical that they will punish and ostracize any student for anything other than a liberal/socialist philosophy. Conservative speakers at college graduations are often heckled, even attacked by students, or even rejected to speak at all like Condoliza Rice because of student protest, and i'll bet some professors had something to do with that also.
-
What's incorrect about it? So a college degree makes one smart about everything? And, at least from what I hear and read, a majority of professors at least are flaming liberals. One thing a college degree gives alot of grads is a big ego.
-
This just can't be true, he had a "no guns" sign on his door. Certainly everyone would obey the sign wouldn't they? I feel sympathy for the employees that were assualted, but as far as the idiot owner goes, HAAAAAAA HAAAAAAA HAAAAAA HAAAAAAA
-
They aint no truth to it. It depends on what someone considers intelligence, personally I think someone with common sense is more intelligent about reality and the world than many with college degrees that lack basic common sense. If you consider that then Tennessee has alot smarter people than NY and California. A college degree doesn't automatically make one smart about everything, just what they have the degree in. Proof of that is how many professors and grads and students voted for Obama and support a socialist/liberal philosophy.

Open carry advocates prompt Chipotle posting
K191145 replied to gregintenn's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Another thing, if I saw these idiots walking in the door of a restaurant I was eating at, part of me would wonder if they aren't some psychos comming in to shoot the place up, I guarntee my hand would be on my grip under the table until I was sure that it was just some dain bramaged attention whores. I wonder when someone will just pop some moron like this when they walked through the door. If that ever happened, i'm not going to feel too bad for them, i'll take the attitude, play stupid games, win stupid prizes. -
If I had young kids living in my house, I would invest in a good gun safe and keep "every gun" locked in it except the one I carry and I would always keep that in my control. I might invest in a good retention holster also. I could probably rig up a good kid proof bedside long gun rig. I'm with everyone who believes these electronic safety "gadgets" are prone to failure and there are the type of devices that anti-gunners would love to mandate.

Who's Rob Sellers? The only sale I made like that was in the Shell station parking lot in the middle of the day. I'll choose a public place in the daylight if I ever do any more transactions.
-
If i'm not mistaken there were legal issues with the planned 28 guage revolver since there is no handgun cartridge that could also be fired in it, it would have been considered a short shotgun.

For as long as I have shaved i've used a disposable BIC and a $1 can of Barbasol, those multi-bladed ripoffs feel like they are ripping my face off.

A few years ago I got a caught a bout of what I am 99% sure was salmonelle food poisening because it was going around and I know for sure what I ate that set it off. I got the symptoms about 8 to ten hours after I ate it and it was a vegtable, pepper/tomato product from a well know mexican fast food place that I will never eat at again. Anyway, after 3 days of that miserable experience I had to get 2 bags of IV saline because the dehydration was getting dangerous, it lasted a total of 6 days. One week before that I had a plate and screws attached to my fibula where I broke it two weeks before that and anything around the ankle stays throbbing sore for a long time but the salmonella made me forget all about that, I didn't care at all about the ankle/foot pain. This case of intestine ifection and ulcers was a little worse than the salmonella pain wise, so much that even IV injections of morphine the first night didn't help at all and IV injections of diladid the second night helped very little. Any pain like that in your guts you just have to wait it out more or less.

Well I learned their secret codes there like, (I'll be right back), means at least 30 minutes and (shortly), is anywhere from 5 minutes to 3+ hours. They do like to take the blood work there, I think they took more blood than my ulcers bled and you had better hope they send someone from the lab to take it instead of a floor nurse. After that one floor nurse tried to get it a number of times I thought about filling out paper work for a purple heart.
