Tennessee Open-Carry Law Torpedoed by Underhanded Tactics?
K191145 replied to Falcon1's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I know it's highly unlikely any of them will ever be appointed to a federal level, that's not the point. The point is their liberal mentality, if they could get away with it in Tennessee they would rule in the favor of government over individuals. Also some tort reform is needed, we have to pass good samaritan laws to discourage a home invader from suing a home owner for injuries or death for their criminal act, we need sensable tort reform to discourage some idiot from suing S&W because some car jacker shot him with a S&W .38 special. So, if tort reform is one of the issues behind this push to replace these judges then i'm even more motivated now. -

Also with judges Clark, Wade, and Lee, with todays political climate I will not support anyone who is considered democrat or liberal no matter what they are running for or office they are trying to stay in. They are politicians with personal ambitions no matter what anyone says. They may rule a certain way in Tennessee, trying to follow the direction of the political wind just like any politician in the legislator, but put them on the national scene and they will rule just like the liberal activist justices on the US supreme court. They will protect the little guy by ruling that some corperation or business can influence a city government to STEAL your land to sell back to that corperation so the city can collect extra taxes from whatever the corperation wants to put on your stolen land. They will rule to protect the little guy by allowing union thugs to force, bully, intimidate with mafia style tactics the little guy into paying union dues weather he/she wants to or not, they rule that the little guy isn't responsible enough to choose for themselves and they don't allow that outdated pesky obsolete constitution to get in their way. -

Exactly right, no matter how conservative some state democrat rep or senator may seem to be, as soon as they get to DC they are almost guarnteed to vote straight down the party line no matter what. As much as i'm fed up with Lamar I still don't want a democratic majority in the senate with 2 more years of Obama. Voting for Lamar is just a vote for a GOP seat but in the primary i'll vote for his hopefull retirment. One thing I can say about Haslam is that he's a good typical politician, always know what direction the political wind blows so he knows what to support and what not to support. That's also called kissing the publics butt for popularity. -
MSNBC Gets to the bottom of what really happened.
K191145 replied to greenego's topic in General Chat
I saw this last night on FOX. Is her name really Krystal Ball? Anyway, the plane shot down is a sad tragady for everyone who was killed and their families, and the guy MSNBC interviewed is a low life scumbag for making fun of it but I certainly don't feel sorry for MSNBC at all. Those idiots should have a delay in their broadcast to prevent this, I thought all news broadcasts had some delay to protect interviews with someone at the controls at all times. Of course everyone knows MSNBC is a liberal political propaganda organization but to take an interview from someone who claims they saw something and call it an exclusive without checking them out first, or checking out a few facts like the US embassy in the Ukraine is hundreds of miles from where the plane was shot down is very sloppy, lazy and unprofessional reporting. Go for the ratings over the truth I guess. -

Well don't worry, Tennessee governors are guarnteed 2 terms since Ray Blanton but with that voting stratagy you are going to have to vote for Lamar Alexander I guess, can't have some democrat taking his seat. Also, a vote to retain Judges Clark, Lee, and Wade is the same as voting FOR a liberal, a democrat, so with that same voting stratagy you have to vote to replace them. If Bloombergs buddy Haslam wins the primary which he will, then i'll hold my nose and vote but I will vote for his GOP challenger in the primary just like i'll vote for Carr over Lamar and if Lamar wins the primary which is not guarnteed this time, I guess you and I will vote for him in the general over the democrat. And I will vote to replace Clark, Lee and Wade so Haslam can choose the 3 to replace them. -
I shot up a few hundred last month at the range out of my MAK90 just to get the rust off me and make sure I can hit something with it, all the rest I have i'm sitting on it for a while. I miss the good ol days when I bought 1000 for $80 at the gun show. That's just a fond memory i'll never experience again. This would be a good business opportunity for some US ammo manufacture to work overtime and crank out millions of affordable 7.62 x 39. If anything just to stick it to the Obama regeme.

I said it over and over when he was running for Governor the 1st. time, Haslam was a card carrying member of Bloombergs MAIGs while mayor of Knoxville. When he decided to run state wide he quit MAIGs, making up some lame BS excuse that he didn't know they were anti-gun. I again will not vote for that man. -
Don't get me wrong, my opinion of Putin is that he's an old throwback dirty soviet KGB commie and so on but I can see he has more credibility, and he's a much stronger and confident leader than Obama, and, he has much more powerful political ammo than we do since Russia controls a large portion of the oil flowing into Europe. It is blatantly obvious that Obama is using sanctions as an excuse to futher his anti-gun agenda. You are right though about sanctions could be much worse for us than Russia and we have become so dependent on China's imports on most everything that they can really put the hurt on us if they wanted to.
-
Why sanction them in the first place? Most of those Ukrainians in that area wanted to align with Russia in the first place, we should keep our nose out of that conflict. If Obama was serious about dealing with Russia, and he wasn't viewed as a world joke he would stop destroying our military and strengthen it, ally with Poland and put missle defense systems in Poland, invent a stealth, cold propulsion ICBM, drill for oil in ANWAR and pass the construction of the keystone pipeline and sell and ship oil to Europe. That's just a few things our pathetic excuse for a president could do instead of silly usless sanctions that don't accomplish anything. Just look how banning Norinco imports from China worked when 50% of the stuff in your house including the computer were mostly made in China. Sanctions placed on a big industrial country are nothing but a political show.

Well i'm not going to go out and buy a truck of ammo, can't afford it anyway but I am going to conserve what I do have right now especially 7.62x54 and 7.62x39. Now with this Malysian passenger plane shot down over Ukraine you might want to hold on to your stock, no telling what's going on in Obama's tiny little authoritarian brain right now. I also recommend that those who do not have one, go to the store and buy a box of aluminum foil and make you a hat, you may wish you had one some day soon.

I'm pretty sure he had a few pre-rolled before he sat down to write this artical.

MMMMM C-rats. Spegetti and beef "chunks", beef and potatos, I especially enjoyed the hardened 1/2" thick slab of lard that setteled on the top. One of my favorites was ham and eggs, kinda like a pate made of powdered eggs, I would trade turkey or cheese or my John Wayne bar for that.

Yea, just kind of a joke. Actually the few episodes Festus and Chester were in they liked each other. One episode though Festus held his SSA on Chester to break his buddy he knew was innocent of murder out of jail, he put Chester in the cell but Chester didn't get mad about it because it was proven later that Festus's friend was innocent.

Re-watched one of my favorites last night, Fargo the movie. Watched all the episodes of the TV show, it was pretty good.

My dad brought one back from Germany after the war, he wasn't the one who originally took it off a prisoner but he said soldiers back then after the fighting stopped traded for different things. I don't know what dad traded the soldier for to get it, I think some booze and stuff so the soldier could find some frualine to have a good time with. Anyway, back in the early 60's he sold it to a friend of his. I guess Lugers still wern't the prize back then as they are now.

Hey, got my renewal form today. I think I will go to the DMV this time to get another pic made, last pic was 8 years ago and I lost a few pounds since and my hair is not all brown anymore. What a difference 8 years can make.

I got a piece of 8'x4' scrap plywood, some white and brown outdoor paint and painters tape to make pretty letters. Mine will be readable at 100 meters at least. Might have to leave off the Arabic though. There should be another sign to go with the one on Armslist to hang below it. It should read, "If you can read this you have already been shot" :)

Hey, I better not see any preversions in here.

Enemy At The Gate? One of my favorites also.
