1.   Police officers are well aware that when they took the oath there's a decent chance that they will be involved in situations dealing with criminals where they may be involved in a gunfight, and a chance that they may be seriously injured or killed, more than anyone else except a soldier in a combat zone. They willingly accept those chances and go out on the streets anyway to do their job. They know there are people who hate all LEO's but most all are gang banging thug criminal types, and some niave hippy types who have no clue what reality is, they expect that. I would think that they would trust their leaders to defend them, it has to be the worst blow to moral when their cowardly leaders throw them under the bus because they are afraid to make a political stand and defend them when they haven't done anything wrong and followed proceedure and their training. Michael Brown was a thug who comitted a strong armed robbery, it was proven the he attacked and tried to take officer Wilsons handgun and he got shot and died for his thugish assualt, that's all Michael Browns fault. Now the other dude in NY, cant recall his name may have not been as bad as Brown "BUT", he was comitting a crime, maybe a minor crime but he did resist, he did have health problems which he alone is responsible for. He wasn't beaten, just taken to the ground to be handcuffed. If he would have complied he probably would have be sited for a minor offense and went home in a couple of hours but he died because he resisted and didn't take care of his health. Tragic but still his fault. Now LEO's everywhere have to walk on eggshells not to offend or be accused of racism when dealing with thugs, they probably will take un-necessary risks and avoid defending their lives at times because they can't trust the media, many in the general public, and even their own leaders not to lynch them when they did nothing wrong. I wouldn't blame a LEO for saying screw this crap and go find other employment. I wouldn't blame NY cops right now if they did go on strike.
2.   Well that's tough, maybe the taxpayers should demand the Mayor back up the city police force instead of making them fear prosecution for defending themselves, THAT's how DeBloseo is putting NYPD in danger. A strike may just wake some people up, sometimes a radical move is necessary, if our ancestors didn't make radical moves we would be flying the Union Jack and kissing the Queens ass.
3.   Nope, sometimes it's time to fire an incompetent Mayor if he's putting those Police officers in danger. That may be the only way to get the general public to demand a recall election.
4.   I don't see how Deblosio can continue very long as Mayor when NY Police turn their back to him and face the wall as he walks down the hall to the press room, an open show of defience against this clown. And I applaud them, it's definatly time for police and others to openly show their disdain to these political cowards no matter who they are, Mayor, Governor and President. They should however announce a city wide police strike a week before they plan to do it, talk to some city leaders but flat out refuse to have any dialog with that idiot Mayor whatsoever, and if they don't get any satisfaction from the city leaders then go on a total strike. Sometimes it is necessary to put a city or state or country in a critical situation to "FORCE" leaders to do the right thing. This in my opinion is the right time for it.
5.   We will excuse it this time.
6. Don't be drinking any beverage while watching, might get your keyboard wet.     https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhg7Xm4FXAY
7. Good deal, one past episode shouldn't exclude someone who is mentally healthy. The more seriously mentally ill may be controlled by medicine and phychaitric care but usually are never completly cured, I believe anyone is capable of having an emotional breakdown if certain bad things happen in their life, they shouldn't be treated like a criminal for the rest of their life.
8.   Even though NC is liberalizing, I still don't think they will get far with a lawsuit there. Maybe New England or California.
9. I would envy him BUT, he lives in Kalifornia and forced to go through psychiatric observation plus i'm sure the state will steal his guns and ammo like common thieves.
10. http://www.thestate.com/2014/12/17/3878511/police-14-year-old-shoots-kills.html?rh=1     I can here some bleeding heart naive liberal saying, he should have complied with the home invaders. Well, maybe this kid knows real well, probably better than most that "complying" will just get you dead. Scum can't be trusted like the one's who murdered the kids dad when he was 8.     I applaud the kid, I hope he realizes he saved himself and his grandma, and other innocent people and I hope it doesn't bother him too much for killing a piece of human garbage. He did society a service.
11.   I never understood why we picked on the Pols, they have had a hard time in history being between Germany and Russia. The Pols also made the best Mosin.  :)
12. I'm not advocating sueing but if they want to investigate something besides the mindset of these individuals who commit these murders, maybe they should investigate some of these psychiatric drugs they are throwing out by the handfulls to anyone who feels a little bummed or a kid who may be unruley in class. I see these commercials on some of these medications, they list some of the side effects as feelings of suicide in some individuals. What about feelings of homocide? That wouldn't be far from feelings of suicide would it? Maybe they do help some people but I really believe that certain people shouldn't take them, everyone reacts to medicine differently. Like alcohol, one who drinks and is usually a content person will handle it okay but I am positive everyone here has had that friend that is often an angry person while sober, but when they drink they are hard to control or even out of control. Anything that alters the chemestry in your brain can have a negative effect as much as a positive effect. Back when I was installing gas pipe under houses and servicing HVAC systems I was developing back problems, one doctor I saw tried to prescribe Prozac for pain. I told him I didn't want to take that type of medicine, pretty much told him I WOULDN'T take that type of medicine and he pretty much told me to find another doctor, well fine, it's my body and i'll decide if I don't want to take something, especially if it's something that I don't believe will work for my condition and he's prescribing it just as some placebo type effect. I am 100% sure the pain is not in my head, it's in my back. When I get a pain in the head it's called a headach and i'll take a Tylonol. I really do think they are over prescribing these drugs for any and everything, personally i'm scared of them for one thing, I wont voluntarily take any of them.
13. Holy cow Bersa that is a challenge and a half, i'm hoping the best for you. If it makes you feel better about your surgery, about 5 years ago my mom had an aneurism repaired, open heart on her arortic valve at 82 years old and came through it with flying colors. We can complain about those high dollor docs but they are good at what they do. Like I said I hope the best for you and keep us informed on how you're doing.
14.   If it's not noticed then it's concealed. I've walked by alot of LEO's with a Glock 21 on my waist and only a shirt covering it and never been confronted. It's a comfortable carry and an easy draw.
15.   Not dissing all lawyers but for many who take these lawsuits and all the class action lawsuits against some medicines or medical devices ect. ect., only see the $$$ signs. They have no interest whatsoever in their clients, right or wrong, or anyone or company the may destroy from a ethically and morally wrong lawsuit as long as they get the big bucks and notoriety. I totally agree with DaveS, it's no different than a drunk driving a Ford running a red light and killing someone and the family and some morally deficient ambulance chaser sueing Ford for making a dangerous vehicle. I just hope this lawsuit get dismissed before Bushmaster has to pay too much legal fees.
16. Wonder how long this poll will be up if PBS doesn't get the vote results "THEY WANT"?
17. Actually at this point i'll cheer for them to loose out the rest of the season just to get a top draft pic and be forced to make some radical changes. Whatever they do certainly wont hurt them any, I do want to keep Nate Washington and a few others although I don't know how much football Washington has left in him.
18.   I've been waiting for several years for mine to just go off and it wont. I've tried to encourage it by pulling the trigger, helping it to go off but it just hasn't learned to go off by itself yet with no help. I guess I bought a dumb Glock.
19.   Probably shot his knee with the Glock so he put the 1911 over that knee. Next week he will shoot himself in the hip on the other side.
20.   That's the reason right there.
21. Soo sorry to hear that Luke, my grandmother lingered with that for months, almost a year before she died in the late 90s. We would go see her and she wouldn't know who we were and was always agitated, something she never expressed at any time when she was healthy. When dementia takes control they are not the person they were anymore and I know that's very difficult to take, we had to keep telling ourselves it's not her, it's the disease and it truely is.
22. Looks like the last 8" of a Ma Deuce barrell attached to a caulk gun.
23.   Tape dispenser and glue gun.
24. If I were to buy another 1911 someday I like the retro look of the Remington R1. I've read good reviews about it as far as reliability and accuracy. Sights are better than the old GI models, mag well is beveled, ejection port is enlarged, all without being too noticable from the old GI 1911s. 25. Well I didn't report a home invader officer, what home invader? :)
