  1. I don't think it's just the dog treats but a whole lot more stuff. I don't trust anything that says, "packaged in so and so town USA" I'm a libertarian for the most part but I wouldn't protest legislation that forced companies to post where products were actually made and produced in clear writing on the lable. There needs to be some law suits against some of these companies, people need to know not to buy certain products, especially any food or drug products made in China. I know it's hard not to buy crap from China, alot of electronics like this computer and most all phones come from China, you just can't hardly buy anything these days that's not made in China.
  2.   As I said, "could be" and "could have" and used the word "if". In other words I made no judgement about the man. But "IF" he was a supporter of that bill, "THEN" he got what he asked for, enforcement of an un-constitutional law. "IF" he wasn't a supporter of the law then he was a victim of an un-costitutional law.
  3.   Could very well be, he could have been a big supporter of the law, if that's the case then I guess that Karma thingy caught up with him. It could be that common attitude, I don't care because it doesn't affect me. Well it seems that it's affected him. Just wait till Obama Care starts affecting more and more people, people who thought it was a good law.
  4.   Probably most who have already paid the initial fee would renew their permits, I would just to carry in other states. Also permit holders can keep their handgun out of sight in their vehicle parking in otherwise prohibited places where those without a permit can't, even with vehicle carry now which to me doesn't make alot of sense why anyone else can't store their handgun out of sight in certain places. I'm wondering when Tennessee permit holders will reach the half million number, I know several people who already have a date set for their class, more revenue for the state.
  5.   One thing to consider is that the permit process in Tennessee brings a moderate amount of cash flow to the state, $115. for first applicants and $50. renewal every 4 years. That's $50 x 450,000+ permit holders in a 4 year period. No true politician wants to endanger a cash cow like that, Constitutional carry may very well lower the number of new applicants and number of renewals, reducing the dollars the state gets from the handgun carry permit program. Also Haslam IS NOT a pro-gun Governor, he knows he has to pander to the republican base to keep his job so he pretends to be pro-gun.
  6.   It's quite possible that Rayburn was depending on like minded clientele to support him after his futile crusade to keeps guns illegal in restaurants. Me thinks he didn't realize that there's just not that many people who are passionate enough about HCP holders carrying in restaurants one way or the other. There are far more people who are passionate about handgun carry than those who are strongly against handgun carry, then there's the rest who just don't care and are not concerned about people carrying. Maybe Rayburn could move his restaurant to New Jersey. I also haven't heard much about the gun free dining in Tennessee website, pretty much a waste of cyber space. Had a good ribeye at Logans yesterday with my Glock on my hip under my shirt, didn't hear any comments or see anyone who noticed or cared. I was a good boy, had a Coke and not a beer. I don't drink alcohol anyway.  :)
  7.   It's in Bridgestone arena isn't it? I'm guessing the owners have a no gun policy inside the arena, but i'm just guessing since i've never been in there. Of course we can carry on the public sidewalks. What about some of these parking lots in downtown where people park fot the titans games, I believe some are state owned?   Correction: It's in the Music City Center from what i've read.
  8. He campaigned hard to deny you and me of our constitutional rights, I have no sympathy for him whatsoever. I hope the employees find something but that's it, Rayburn can go bankrupt as far as I care.
  9. http://irasciblemusings.com/moms-urge-jeff-foxworthy-and-alan-jackson-dont-support-nra-extremism/   You know the idiots will be there in Nashville with their little signs along with support from a few local dolts, even if you don't go into the convention it's a good time for a tailgate party in downtown, also might be the right venue for an open carry demonstration.
  10. Another state on my list of states that I will never visit for any reason.
  11. Thinking about 70 years ago, January 1st. 1945. My dad was hit in the back, left shoulder with a piece of metal he thinks from a German morter explosion behind him, maybe an small mm.artillary round. He was taken off the front, out of the knee deep snow and sub-zero temps in Belgium and sent to an evacuation hospital in France for a few weeks of recovery. No vitals were injured, he made a full recovery and returned to the front and awarded the Purple Heart.
  12. Happy New Year to all.......     Well, except those Taliban sons a b!tches.
  13.   Well shoot, I just bought two boxes 50ea of Blazer Brass 230gr for $21 per box, maybe I should have shopped.
  14.   Old school, works good to warm it up from startup.
  15.   I have been told that's not the case on many new vehicles nowadays. I've changed quite a few t-stats back in the day, they were easy. $10 or less for the stat and a piece of gasket material you had to cut yourself but I was told by a mechanic the average person couldn't do that on newer vehicles and it would cost alot more.
  16.   Well look what you done went n did.   I gradeated fro Cheatham County Central High.     HAAA, 15 out of 15. I know for a fact that's BS. English grammer and spellin were my worstes subjects in school.
  17. Well heck, I boarded a 707 with a M-16A1 slung over my shoulder once. They just told me to place it under the seat.     Along with the rest of the company.   :)
  18. The late comedian Sam Kenison advises that if you break up with a girl and have your carry on and check bags already packed, check them, especially the carry on to make sure she didn't stuff a loaded .38 snubby down the bottom of your bag.  :)
  19. Merry Christmas everybody at TGO.
  20. Stupid Stupid Stupid to actually let your emotions take control like that. Now I have fantisized about sticking my gun in someones face because they pi$$ed me off so bad but I know very well there is no chance in hell i'll do that, that will never happen just like when I fantisize about Jessica Beil.   :)
  21. http://wkrn.com/2014/12/23/pillowcase-bandits-arrested-after-recent-ala-home-burglary/   What the artical didn't say that I heard on channel 2 last night is when the male was confronted by the police he ran, tried to steal a bike from a homless man who beat the crap out of him helping police capture the burglar. That's where he got the cut and bruises on his face. They should put that homeless guy up in a room and help find him a job.
  22. Sorry for your loss Greg, a person definatly lives right if they make it to 102.
  23. I do run and oil patch before I put them up, I guess if I did scrub it with soap and water I need to remove the stock, definatly needs to be dry. I've used a hair dryer on wet guns before, works well. I always use a .30 cal brass brush with solvent, i'll try it next time with soap. Only the Mosin after shooting salty primers though. Like I said, I have no issues with any others, even my MAK90 shooting all the Russian ammo but most of it is Wolf and I don't believe that's corrosive. I don't think the humidity is too much in my home but i'll check my guns more often, no rust on the outside of any. I'll look for that RIG protectant the next time I go to a gun store.
  24. Last night I decided it was time to run an oiled patch through some of my rifle barrels since they sit for long times, I have neglected to do that in a while(months). I got to my old Mosin 91/30, the last time I shot it 6 months ago with that dirty ammo I always clean and scrub the barrel and chamber with Hopps solvent, rinse that out with spray Rem oil I use as a light cleaner and not a lube, then after running dry patches I run an oiled patch of Hopps gun oil to store it. When I take them out to shoot I always run dry patches to wipe oil out of the barrel and chamber before shooting. Well I ran a dry patch through my Mosin and it doesn't bother me to see a little black residue but it does bother me to see brown. Anyway, I promise I scrub the barrel, take the Rem oil tube and blast down the barrel till it's dripping, run a wet patch, spray again, run dry patches and they remain white, then run an oiled patch to store. Did I wait to long to re-oil? None of my other rifles had rust residue on the patch, just the Mosin. What and how often should I re-patch/oil my barrels, and what's the best product?   Thank You: Jon.
