1.   Part of it is that the Obama administration has really given a great example of what left wing liberals real agenda, to take ALL our gun rights away. I think many people who only own 1 gun or none are scared by the notion that there is a real agenda, not just to impliment what liberals call, "common sense gun control" but an all out war against citizens owning any guns whatsoever. They have seen through the BS for the first time.
2.   Whaaat, now they are going after chainsaws?  :)
3. Well both my Reps voted Aye, Littleton and Roberts.
4.   I heard it through a Walmart employee that the Walmarts that shut down were most likely done as "retribution" to employees at those stores who walked out for a day to protest their wages some time before the shutdowns. Just what I heard.
5.   You definatly have one more collectable than your standard Ruskie 91/30, the Remingtons are fairly rare.
6. What, no more free spent case with your gun? Reloaders will be devistated. Some states wanted to have a fingerprint of your gun and from what I have heard it was too easy to change that fingerprint anyway.
7.   I guess with vauge wordage in laws it's smart not to make your local LEO or DA mad at you for any reason. Is there any law out there that pretty much straight to the point and simple to understand?
8.   OMG, i'm getting a headach.  I take it there's no legal measurment of "immediate vicnity".
9.   It sounds like your having opposition to pass a bill making it a more serious crime with harsher penalties for criminals to terrorize people and physically assualt defensless elderly people. Is there any Rep. who actually opposes that?
10.   So i'm assuming that if you see the bus pull in you're supposed to leave. I guess that means the entire park, like if kids on a field trip were on the soccer field in Burns Park in Kingston Springs and I was fishing in the park pond 500+ yards away out of sight, I still would have to leave.
11.   I haven't been commenting much simply because I wanted to see what would actually come from all the back and forth haggling and amending and trying to follow all the legal proceedures in the state legislature just confuses me more. So this may be a dumb question but, say this becomes law, i'm at the local park carrying my handgun and a school bus pulls in full of kids on a field trip. Do I have to immediatly leave or am I automatically a felon?
12.   I've been watching some video's on the Ruger SR 7.62, I've heard it's pretty accurate even being a gas/piston rifle and also reliable but you may have to change the gas setting for certain ammo. What about the piston AR's?
13.   My nefew is a collector, he has a Westinghouse original, several Finnish Mosins, a Dragoon Mosin and an original sniper 91/30 and a few others.
14.   Go to  www.photobucket.com  and start a free account. You will have a library of all your photo's you upload and when you want to post a photo you just click on it in your library and there will be several URL's to choose from. Posting on a message board choose the image URL.
15. Well here's mine. Well, actually it's my brothers I have at my house. He bought it in the late 70's, it came sporterized like this, stock chopped, barrel shortened and new front sight, bolt handle bent and no matching numbers. It's a shame it is not in original condition but it shoots fairly well for a rifle made in 1918.
16. Another traffic law i'm confused about is where should your vehicle be in relation that big fat white line at a light or stop sign. It's been a long time since I took my drivers test but I always assumed that line was where your FRONT bumper should be when stopped. Apparently many if not most drivers believe that line is for anywhere between your rear tires and 4 feet behind your REAR bumper. :screwy:
17. I've heard some good things about some of the M1A custom models, how are they compared to other semi's?
18.   I have learned throughout my many years of life the what is "supposed" to be and what actually is, is two different things. That's why I believe that although NICS records are "supposed" to be destroyed/deleted after 24hours, after a firearms purchase there is a database somewhere still in existence. I know that gun stores hold 4473's but I don't think it's a tin foil hat moment to believe the NICS check on your new gun was not completly deleted. A database/list of gun purchases can also be used as a registry. I personally find it refreshing that the city, state, federal government has no idea what all firearms I have in my possession through private sales and has no idea who I might sell mine to or leave to when I die. Liberals who propose background checks on private sales also support a firearms registry, you can't really have one without the other. We already have a pretty good law, If I sell a gun to Joe Blow meth making home invading violent felon, and I knew Joe Blow was a felon then I get my own felony charge. That's a real crime unlike selling a gun to a friend or family member.
19.   Refusing to enforce an Un-Constitutional law is not a "WRONG". His oath to protect and defend the Constitution makes it a "RIGHT".
20. I'm not against open carry, the way I carry the bottom of my holster sometimes shows but so far no one has said anything about it. That's one of my main reasons to try to conceal, I always thought that there was that really crazy meth head who would want to take your handgun, like having a big wad of cash clipped to your side. Seems that maybe better situational awarness might not have let the situation get that far also. Another reason and i'll admit it, I really don't want to listen to some annoying busy body anti-gun soccer mom b!tch and rant about my gun, I would rather just have a pleasant shopping experience that to argue with a brick wall.
21.   I have to check that out, I see it's about $50 from Amazon for a set of 5 DVD's. I've been interested lately in doing some long range accuracy shooting. First thing is to get a "good" bolt action, again. Years ago I bought an off the shelf Remington 700 ADL in 30-06, their bargin model and an inexpensive Simmons AETEC 2.8-10X44 scope. This was a deer rifle setup, by no means a competition setup. Still though, even with an inexpensive rifle and scope it was pretty accurate with it's favorite ammo which was Winchester Partitution Gold 150 grain. These were nylon coated bullets at the time, don't know if they still make them. At the Cheatham range I was limited to 100 yards which is nothing really but with that setup and ammo I had many groups of 3 with all holes touching, from a bench rest of course. I would have loved to see what I could do at longer ranges, even being a cheap rifle and scope I was more accurate with that than any rifle I have ever fired and I loved to shoot it because of that. I sold it a few years later because I was tight for some money then and planed to buy a nicer rifle and scope when I could afford it but never did.
22. I can see a loose tolerance moving a fraction of a fraction of a millimeter, they way this guy was talking on the show, he made it seem that the action was actually cycling, bolt handle retracting before the bullet leaves the muzzle. I know that bolt lugs on a bolt action lock up tighter and I can see a tiny movement in the bolt on a semi which could cause enough movement to effect accuracy, it wouldn't take much. So harmonics is any movement of any part of the gun when fired? I always thought it had to do with barrel flexing and why people cork between the barrel and stock, or have a free floating stock. TGO is a great place to learn.
23. Okay, I heard some guy on a show about snipers, and i've heard it before that bolt actions are more accurate because a semi-auto's action is moving as the bullet is traveling down the barrel thus moving the rifle. Really? Can anyone time the bullet from the time the primer is ignited, igniting the powder pushing the bullet out of the case, traveling through the barrel and exit the muzzle? I'm not a ballistics expert or reloader but i'm pretty sure it's pretty darn fast, I mean I can see actions cycling with my naked eye. And what about gas operated rifles like an AK that has the gas port to assist the action near the muzzle? I may be wrong but it's just hard to imagine that the action on a semi-auto has much effect, or is actually moving before the bullet exits the muzzle. Now could it be that many semi's have a looser lockup than some bolt rifles and maybe there is a little movement? Anyway, i'm just asking those who know alot more about that than me, it's just hard for me to imagine that the action itself has alot to do with accuracy on a semi. I do know there's some pretty accurate semi's I have seen like M1A National Match which does have tighter tolerances and a few others.
24. This may be a publicity stunt but it's still funny.   http://www.insideedition.com/headlines/10234-watch-this-homeowner-shoot-down-a-drone-flying-over-his-property   If I had an ammo manufacturing company I would make "Drone Loads", pretty much a turkey load with enough punch and larger shot to knock down a drone. Probably sell alot as a novility mostly, like zombie loads.
25.   The Anti-American Socialist In Chief who's polluting the White House right now has been picking and choosing what laws to enforce as he personaly sees fit so I say why not? I wish more sheriffs were like him, choosing not to enforce an Un-Constitutional law which they should because they took an oath to defend the Constitution unlike that traitor POTUS we have who craps on the Constitution when he can. I would never obey a background check law for a private sale to a friend or family member, I would probably privatly sell or trade something out of pure spite if there ever was a federal background check law for private sales.
