Seems that racial tensions have gotten worse all over the country in the last 7 years, funny how a black Democrat President was elected, a black AG appointed and it's alot worse than when a white Texan Republican was President.

Many moons ago I work for a company that signing an employee/employer agreement was mandatory, it listed a bunch or so-called rules, nothing about "no-Guns", that was before shall issue but the last sentence at the bottom read, "This agreement may be terminated at any time by the employer or employee." Didn't even mean you had to be fired or quit, it just ment it was worthless and could be ignored. Maybe they could put a sticker on the old signs where is says "No Firearms" underneath that the sticker could say, "Well, unless you really want to."
-
UHHH,,, yea, I ment the signs. There once was a time that the most dangerous job in the world was being a road sign in the south.
-
That would definatle simplify things, instead of making several new laws as a defense against that one OLD law.

Ah heck it's Tennessee. let's shoot them first. :) JK.

Dianne Black's FIREARM legislation
K191145 replied to Just2Honor's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Congress should have the power to reject or approve any decisions the ATF or really any other "FEDERAL" agency makes, not just the POTUS. As far as taking away some power, after living through this administration I would like to see some authority taken away from the President. -
I've got too many skeletons in my closet, well, technically they wont be skeletons for a couple of more months. :) Instead of the legislature writing and passing a bunch of new laws every year, I would like to see a Governor organize a group of lawyers to go through all the books and make a list of laws that can be voided and taken off the books. Seems that would be alot more simple and understandable than writing a new law to void an old law.

I guess we will just have to "assume" what the "immediate vicinity" is. The old Kingston Springs park has a baseball field, I assume the immediate vicinity is the field and grass and bleachers that surrounds the field. Something to be argued in court if someone is arrested.

You must have missed this one then, don't know what park it is though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSHVF3Rr3rE

You don't even have to make a new law, just drop the penality for possession on private property that's posted. There is a tresspassing law that would be suficient, they don't want you with your gun they just tell you to leave their property, if you don't or refuse to then they can have you charged with tresspassing. Then, what I wish someone would do is sue the business for discrimination since liberals want to force private businesses like bakeries to make gay wedding cakes, force businesses to provide birth control to nymphomaniac employees ect. They don't believe in personal choice unless it's the choice they personally approve of.

I know the media will announce if a bill is effective on July 1st.
-
It's almost funny to hear them, chanting the same ol thing once again. But, in about two weeks or less they will forget about it and you wont hear much about it anymore. Hopefully next legislative session they will pass something else, I don't have much confidense in them passing Constitutional Carry but they will throw us a bone again for something else and we get to hear the Anti's all over again. Wild west shootouts.

Using language to scare the EEEAKERS, and niave soccer moms, typical liberals. Also shows their blatant bigotry against permit holders as a group.

Emailed it to his press secretary David Smith.

Getting the same thing, subscribe to his email list. NOTHING to paste an actual email to and send it. There are catagories like, 'apply for an internship", "media contacts", but nowhere to paste an email to.
-
I'm beginning to think they don't want any emails from us. HMMM?
-
If he veto's the bill he needs to be reminded that there are approximatly 500,000 HCP holders, in 2014 he only got 951,000 votes. There's alot of votes up for grabs, far more than radical socialist groups like MoveOn who wouldn't vote for a republican anyway.
-
Okay I go to his websight, clicked "contact us", filled out the questions giving my email to subscribe and still there's no way to send him a damn email about what you want to say. Now I had better wait because i'm pissed off. I was going to send this, not a nasty email unless he vetos the bill later.
-
I think it was cruel to the girl for the station to air that or allow that to be released on the internet.
-
Is there anyway to send a simple email without having to subscribe to his mailing list? I really don't want a bunch of spam emails every day, I already get enough of those from other people and spammers.
-
It doesn't take a majority of people to give him serious grief about a veto, this is one decision that there are enough people for the bill to cause him grief if we choose to email him and remind him that there are enough who will refuse to vote for him in his future political career, maybe enough to cause him to loose for the first time in his career. You are right about, if the bill was open to a vote it would fail because the majority don't seriously think for themselves, they hear the media say, guns park bad, guns park bad and that's what sticks in their minds. That's why many of these clowns get elected in the first place, I figured Haslam would win the primary the first time, he had the money to put more TV commercials than any other candidate, all anybody heard about the election then was Haslam good Haslam good so they voted for him. It's actually the cowards way out to let it become law without signing, he could claim to the anti's that he didn't support it, and he could claim to the pro's that he allowed it to become law. Chicken sh!t decision but I would rather he do that than a veto for our sake at least.

It's funny how those so-called "progressive elitists" who will label someone as racist if you criticize Obama, homophobe if you believe in a man/woman marriage, islamiphobe if you believe most terrorist attacks are carried out by radical Muslims today, find it acceptable to pre-judge an entire group of people they don't know personally because they believe in the right to own and carry a firearm for personal protection. Judging and having disdain for a group of people because of a legal personal choice is simple bigotry, no different than to say all young black men are gang bangers or all Muslims are terrorists. Of course in their sanctimonious mind they have a superior intellect over every other human on the planet so you can't make them realize they are BIGOTS.

Our Idiots: TN DL Extended Past HCP
K191145 replied to Oh Shoot's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
So is renewal for HCP's 6 or 8 years now? I just renewed mine last year and it expires in 2018, I guess I don't get to get on the new time until I renew it in 2018. If they make renewals every 8 years they will loose $50 from each HCP holder, i'm surprised they would do that. -
Our Idiots: TN DL Extended Past HCP
K191145 replied to Oh Shoot's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
The state don't make the $50.oo cool dollars on DL renewals, just HCP's. If we let them do it, they would make HCP renewals every 2 years. Gimmie gimmie gimmie.... Here's a clip of the Tennessee legislature discussing a money issue. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-3e0EkvIEM
