1. A big ol hound dog would probably work better than anything besides shooting them.
2. Here,s the Colt Police Positive .38 I looked up the serial number on a data base once and traced it to the year 1905 but I don't have the number on file. This gun should be pretty identifiable.
3.   He can get the numbers from the 30-06 and probably the .22, most others were private sales. And the old Colt New Police in .38 short would probably be identifiable.
4.   I wish he would have written down serial numbers but we gave the deputy a good description of all of them, I knew more about his guns than he did. When he was on vacation a while back I was the one who cleaned them. This parasite will be caught some day but by then his guns will probably be long gone. They have to stake you out knowing when you will be gone. They didn't take anything else but some scrap gold he had in a jewlery box.
5. Earlier today my brothers house was broken into while he was at work, he lives near Pegram, he had all his guns stolen, he never kept serial numbers written down. Guns stolen were,   Full size S&W early MP or maybe a Sigma .40 Taurus model 85 blue snub nose 5 shot .38 special Remington 30-06 semi-auto rifle, NIB, never shot I think a model 750 Reming .22 semi-auto tubular magizine, checkered walnut stock, model 552 Winchester pump 12 guage, long barrell, walnut stock and forearm CVA inline muzzle loader with scope Cheapo Davis .380, black matt finish Cheapo Raven .25 1905 Colt Police .38 short, most of the finish is gone and it's in an old leather holster.   There were two other burgleries in his area in the last month, one person took a picture of an old white pickup.   I know it's a long shot if anyone here comes across anyone trying to sell any of these models. I really hope they catch this piece of human garbage or better yet I hope he breaks into the wrong house and ends up on the floor strangling on blood. You can't imagine how pissed off I am right now.
6.   I practice drawing and firing my Glock, unloaded at home most of the time. At the range I am slower and deliberate, don't want a negligent discharg trying to be Matt Dillon because of the trigger pull on a Glock, I also treat my SP101 with the same respect even though it's has a longer heavier trigger pull.
7.   I always thought that the carjacking scenerio was the perfect scenerio for the snub nose .357. You are scared and need a quick draw, no manual safety, no need for sights at a couple of feet away, don't have to have a perfect grip on a one hand fast draw and because of the long double action pull you are less likely to shoot your leg with a fast draw, plenty of power and recoil doesn't matter at close range just to dump 5 rounds into their torso. I can see where someone might fumble with some semi-autos, especially with a manual safety and their adrenalin off the scale.
8.   Did the man plan on killing Muslims with a 9mm or a .45ACP? Because it does make a difference.  :)
9.   I'll report it if it is serious enough but you are taking chances that you will be considered the villian in some cases. This was just punks acting badass, they didn't break any laws it doesn't sound like but they gave Bersa the impression that they were about to, that's plenty enough reason for me to take a defensive posture. I've seen alot of white punk kids in my area and I would probably report them quicker because I know I wouldn't be percieved as some old white redneck racist if I did. Anyway, it would be just to advise a local LEO that there's some punks harassing people, the most they could do is keep an eye on them.
10. With today's atmosphere I wouldn't have called the police, unless they were white. Sorry but I would be paranoid that I would be percieved as the villian and they would be percieved as young innocent good black kids just hanging out at the store. I know most LEO's would know better but I would bet that even they are paranoid now to be percieved as bully cops, picking on young innocent black kids just hanging out at the store. Besides it wasn't that big of a deal, young punks acting tough trying to intimidate someone for the fun of it, white punks do the same but Bersa was right not to take any chances, I wouldn't. You never know who will be the one to actually physically attack since it happens alot more these days and the young black punks feel they have Obama's permission now to act that way now. I would say that a group of punks, black, white, hispanic, asian etc. who probably have something illegal on them are not going to report you if you show them you are not going to be a victim, assuming is smart sometimes, assume that they "intend" to do you physical harm, that's one of the criteria already met for justified self defense and of course they have the ability. Just don't give them the opportunity.
11.   I refreshed my memory yesterday about why I don't practice, or fire more than 2 cylinders of 158 gr. .357mag out of my 2" barrel SP101. A couple of weeks ago I took off the Hogue grip off and put the factory grip back on and it's a damn unpleasant little tank to shoot with those loads and the factory grip. Needless to say I continued with .38's for target practice and when I cleaned it at home I put the Hogue back on.  I've never shot those through a chronograph but they have to be hauling ass with that recoil, even out of a snubby barrell.
12.   I think it would be cruel to let it suffer if you could stop it, if you can walk up to within a few feet from a deer after it was hit then you know it has a broken back if it doesn't get up and run.
13. Just prepare for the trip like you would prepare for a trip to China, minus the passport.  :)
14.   I think part of the question, and one I would like to know is, "IF" the ATF and State Department are the ones deciding the taxes on guns and ammo then why should those two anti-gun agencys be the ones making those decisions? If there's not a federal sales tax on any other product like hammers and drills, then there shouldn't be any federal sales tax on guns and ammo.
15. I'm not sure what you call those but the absolute most painful stings I ever had came from one years ago, got me on the back of may arm, it bled. I didn't get sick, like hornets their sting is designed for extream pain. Glad you killed the bastid. What's more effective than wasp and hornet spray is a Sears Ted Williams single shot 12 guage, when I was 15 I was out shooting stuff, had a field load in my ol trusty TW 12 and a red wasp was harrassing me. He/she finally landed on the muzzle and stuck half it's body in the barrell, I had it pointed up in the air, I vaporized it. Kinda like shooting a person with a "16 naval gun on a battleship.  :)
16.   Just beside the Shoneys. I'm 10 miles away from it.  :) I will not attend opening day though, I predict it will be pretty crowded.

18. I wont ever shoot it out of a semi-auto again, I knew it wouldn't cycle but not all the shot exits, I actually cleaned shot out of the action. I believe it was CCI with the plastic tip, I shot it out of a Marlin model 60, loading 1 round at a time.
19.   Here again is a "FACT" that obviously some people are not seeing. TWO dangerous terrorist were taken out without them killing one innocent person because of what you call a stupid event. If they hadn't been killed at this event with the security they had, do you think these two would have given up on murdering a bunch of innocent people? My guess is that they would have proceeded to another target with little or no security and successfully killed a bunch of people. But they didn't did they? They chose this target and were stopped and eradicated. THAT"S FACT and it can't be disputed. So as it turns out, this event and all the money spent saved lives and was well worth it.
20. Yes this is about PROVOCATION. Radical Muslims and their open hatred and bigotery of other religions and cultures, and hatred of the west and freedom have PROVOKED decent people who champion freedom and the Constitution to send them a message by telling them they will not be intimidated by their threats and will not back down to them by drawing Muhammid cartoons.
21.   Calling someone a bigot or racist these days is meaningless, it deserves a, "yeah whatever" type of response. It is funny when some niave liberal calls someone a islamaphobe or bigot for critisizing Islam, they are defending real bigots, racial bigots, religious bigots, gender bigots and as far as terror attacks and murders, Muslim terrorists have the old KKK beat all to hell on that.   This incident in Texas, I for one am glad they did it because it probably saved lives, it brought out a couple of Islamic terrorists and they were terminated before they murdered a bunch of people.
22.   Bingo. I believe this was more of a 1st. Amendment demonstration more than an anti-islamic demonstration, not only to show freedom hating Muslims that we wont bow down to terrorist threats but to also show freedom hating liberals we wont bow down to the idiocy of political correctness. Of course the liberals will be quick to defend the discusting youtube challenge of people stomping and dancing on the American flag as their 1st.Amendment right but these same Anti-American liberals would probably ban drawings of Muhammid as hate speech. They believe in only the speech they personally approve of and I would bet there are many who wish the terrorists would have been sucessful. And yes this was a "good idea" because it brought out these terrorists and caused them to be terminated from society. If they didn't try this at this particular event which sounds like at this time that it was being watched because of threats, then it would have been at some other event and good decent people would have been murdered. Because it happened this way only two pieces of human garbage were eradicated and no decent people were killed. Maybe it's a good tactical strategy to provoke them where police are present, waiting to take them out. This event didn't cause these two to become terrorist, they would have tried or comitted an attack somewhere else. Also, I have a feeling that the people inside the building wern't exactly defensless.
23. Watching some of the coverage of the demonstrations after the riots I actually became more irritated with many of the reporters covering it than some of the demonstrators. I say demonstrators because they wern't officially rioting at the time but still taunting the police after curfew. The reason I got irritated with the media is when reporters were asking questions from the demonstrators they would never let them finish what they were saying, not even get partially done. It doesn't matter if I agreed with what they were saying, if they ask a question then at least let them answer it. The reporters, several, stopped them in mid sentence just to add their opinion, they just don't have the ability to shut the hell up for 30 seconds. Now I don't defend or approve of what the rioters are doing or did but I was waiting to see one just punch one of those reporters in the mouth. They are there to report and interview, not comment, ask a question and get an answer weather you don't like the answer or not.
24.   I just have my MAK-90, used to think they were the cheapos of the AK family but now they are a desired AK. I'm definatly holding on to it, I may dress it up some day, leagally, but I want to replace enough parts so I can still use my Chinese and E.German magizines.
25.   Better stick to the cities, rural folk don't need no National Guard.
