Going to Aztar/Tropicana Casino in Evansville Indiana.

Oh well, didn't win big but at least I didn't loose big either. If I would have won at least a grand I would have been posting a pic in the Handguns forum Monday. :) -
The Sherman or Zippo was a pitiful tank by comparison, at least in the armor and gun but for every one Panther we had 10 Shermans. Same with the Soviet T-34, but it did have decent sloped armor.

FBI Director says background check wasn't good enough

Right after the shooting I kept hearing that his DAD had bought him that gun for his birthday. when did that story change? -
They could always put up a "No Trespassing" sign on their business and that would have force of law, might not get much business though.

I have a bad habit sometimes of reading half an article. :)

My guess is that they were hidden by the Germans from the allies and abandoned during the final days.

7-10-2015 update. It's been since spring when the removal of the city "opt out" provision of the parks bill was being debated in the legislature, we were fighting for it and liberals were screaming blood in the streets, or blood in the grass since it's about parks yet that hasn't happened probably to some's disappointment. Still not clear about what "immediate vicinity" is though, the moon is in the immediate vicinity of the earth or the electron is in the immediate vicinity of the neutron, a lot of leeway between the two examples but just using your head should cause no problems. It's been an interesting ride since the 90's when "Shall Issue" was passed and the same ol predictable noise from the left hasn't changed one bit, then they tire and forget after 2 weeks. So next session I guess it's Constitutional Carry and maybe Campus Carry, I would like the signage law changed this go around.

I don't think he's making that up, I just posted the vid for the story itself no matter who tells it.

Never put it past the European mentality of today.

Wasn't that way the last time i went to Aztar, again that's why I went to Indiana. Back then if caught with a firearm in Illinois was life on a chain gang and waterboarding twice a week, I know the state eased up on firearms laws, just not sure how much. I did carry last time and locked it out of sight in my car in the garage, I almost swear that they had lockers before you entered the Casino where you could actually check your shootin iron. Indiana is a pretty gun friendly state. -
I always wanted an M60 Patton tank for a tornado shelter, if a tornado picks up a 57 ton tank then it's just your time. Might have some fun with it too. :) The Engineers have or had some recovery track vehicle that weighed I think over 80 tons.

I wouldn't mind having that anti-aircraft gun either, Both need to be restored and put on display.

http://www.handgunlaw.us/states/indiana.pdf I'm fairly certain I can hide and lock my handgun in my car in the parking garage, it's been over 10 years since i've been there, going this weekend. I know I can't wear it in the Casino, all these legal terms are confusing about parking lot storage though. My sister wanted to go to Illinois, I told her i'll only go to Indiana, wont step 1 inch in Illinois out of principle.

Knowing the Euro's they would probably destroy a rare vintage piece of history because it was a Nazi tank. http://www.bbc.com/news/blogs-news-from-elsewhere-33381772 Could be one of the best kept Panther tanks from WW2, I know few survived the junk yard. The only thing that would have been cooler was if it was a Tiger Tank.

So you are African American? What country in Africa? Sudan? Botswana? Can Arabs call themselves African Americans? Can Asian Indians call themselves Asians or is that just for orientals, Japanese, Chinese etc. The term African American is discrimination since it doesn't include Arabs or white South Africans and also the term Asian American since it doesn't include Indians, Jews and some Russians. I guess my ancestry couldn't be more UN-PC, my ancestors are English and Scottish, some came to America before the Mayflower, had some distant uncle who was a slave owner and my great great grandfather was a LT. in the 9th Tennessee CSA. For me my history is interesting to know I guess but it's over and gone, doesn't exist anymore, that's why it's history. Today in 2015 i'm just an American and Tennessean. And no i'm not including Canadians and Mexicans when I say American.

I know many don't care much for James Yeager here but this is the first i've heard about U.S. Bank dropping firearms businesses, I know Citibank did that a while back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Be_8wn22bzo

Don't shoot in the air but if you do, we won't charge you???
K191145 replied to rugerla1's topic in General Chat
I just remembered something, years ago when doing HVAC service we had a customer, a tile maker/distributer on 51st. and Michigan in West Nashville. Maybe some here knows where that is. Well one day working on a roof top unit I noticed a 9mm bullet laying on the flat roof so I looked around some more, after a while I had a small handfull of 9 or .380, a .45 and a few .22s and some buck shot, no doubt collected on the roof for some years. I gave them to the owner who laughed and said he wasn't surprised. This company had a chain link fence all around the back with barbed wire on top and an armed guard at night, at least a sign that said armed guard, they needed it in that hood. -

Every year it seems that happens somewhere in the country, maybe there should be a new law or sever penalty for reckless endangerment if your bullet injures or kills someone. Don't know what to call it, negligent assault or whatever, the same as if you texted and caused an accident injuring or killing someone. I've shot shotguns in the air straight up, I wouldn't do that with a solid projectile like a slug or bullet where I live. Of course it's only lethal if it's shot at an angle where it keeps its trajectory and enough velocity when it strikes a person, if shot straight up where it looses all velocity, stalls and freefalls back a standard 150 grain bullet will reach a terminal velocity which is not enough to penetrate flesh. Might make you say ouch when it bounces off your head. I think we may have talked about that before here.
