But you would thing the regulars would have said something already like they did after the Church shootings. I wonder about the "some that may not have been". It's just a little strange to me that there hasn't been the usual, predictable anti-gun rhetoric. Now I don't know what comments have been made on MSNBC or CNN but I never watch them anyway.

Gun bans coming to some social security recipients
K191145 replied to Sam1's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I don't think they are fools, they know exactly what they want. They are authoritarian socialists, they dream of a time when America has the same type of government and laws like most all of Europe, they disdain individual rights which means they disdain the Constitution, they are simple elitist control freaks. -
Something seems a little fishy about his weapons, not much being said where he got them. I still think there would be plenty of liberals screaming gun control now like with the church shooting but nothing is being said at all. Wonder if any of those missing Fast and Furious guns have been smuggled back from Mexico.

Well I personally REFUSE to be a sitting duck.

Petition was created that demands military be able to CCW

Has anyone informed the General that there are over 1/2 million civilians in Tennessee alone who have handgun carry permits, most all walking around with loaded weapons? Negligence happens but there's no big epidemic of it, I would think a General would have a little more common sense than that. -
Sad news.

There are so many scams because naive people fall for it and not just computer scams although that's the best and easiest way for scumbag scammers these days. That scammer that called me kept pushing me to go to my computer after telling him I was busy twice, I was way too polite and should have just cussed him out but it's my fault for even answering the phone, I didn't the second time. That was kinda funny when he said he worked for Windows, like someone who works for Federal saying they work for bullets. My mom is 86 and i'm proud to say she doesn't fall for the scams either. I have never really been scammed except for a bad sale a few times in life, and at the gas pump and grocery store but everybody's scammed then.

Next PC I buy i'll buy it at Walmart or some place that wont ask for all your info. Set it on the counter, hand them some cash and walk out the door. Or just lie about your email and phone# and address.

Well, the military uses civilian contractors for a lot of things, these Marines, Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen stationed at small offices and recruitment centers in cities across the country could be trained by the many civilian or police training centers for handgun defense, paid for by the government. Also, start right now with a change of military policy to increase training to include handgun training, weapons training and qualification at least once a month no matter what their MOS is weather they are a cook or clerk etc. All military personnel should be a fighting soldier first and foremost.

Bingo. If it's important, leave a voicemail.

Train them then.

Wonder how he would feel about it if they disarmed all his secret service guards? -
I don't agree to anything over the phone. When it's a number that's unavailable or some state I know no one from I just hit answer and hang up to stop it from ringing. Why I asked about this is that the other night I did have a startup problem and my computer went through a diagnostic then fixed the error. It's a 7 year old HP with Windows Vista, what I need is a new PC someday.

I was pretty sure it was a scam, Microsoft wouldn't call you like that and the guy said he worked for "Windows", not Microsoft. He couldn't get anything useful off my computer anyway, there's no financial info, no account numbers, no SSN or any personal information on any files, especially no credit card or debit card numbers. I'm old school, keep all my stuff on paper and never do business online.
-
All because of some anti-gun liberals and political toadie Generals.

I got a call earlier today, it was some man with an Indian accent saying he worked for Windows, the caller ID said number not available. He said they had Windows error reports from my computer and wanted me to get on my computer to fix them. I told him I was busy and couldn't do that and he insisted on calling me back, he did a couple of hours later but I didn't answer it. First of all why do they care in the first place, I have never been called by them and never reported any errors. I'm guessing it's a scam and sales tactic, i'm not going to open my computer to anyone like that, I don't trust anyone who calls me, there's too many scams. Anyone else had a call like that?

If you can, try inspecting your return duct work from the return in the house to the unit.
-
That looks like insulation and dirty crawlspace material. If it's a package unit and duct under the house you may have an opening in the "return" duct possibly from some critter. That's a large amount of nasty material, the service tech should have checked your duct work. After insulation and dust from a crawl space collects for a summer on your evaporator coil it will stay wet all summer from condensation making it look like that. That also blocks the airflow dropping the freon pressures causing ice to collect. If your airflow completly stops and the blower is still running it's likely frozen up. Package units are also insulated inside and some of that insulation could be coming apart, critters love it for a nest.

Too bad we can't go back in time and take the 4 Marines off that facility and put him there. -

Petition signed. -
I would think that if his weapon, being an AK type as they say, was bought at a gun store or gun show the Feds would have already released that info so it could be used for anti-gun propaganda. I'm just speculating but if the weapon was smuggled into the country we will not hear that information. So far I have heard nothing about his weapons except what they might have been.

EEEWWWWW, now that's just wrong. :) Maybe to 7.62x51.

Ah but i'll just claim that my MAK-90 is a lesbian, it will be a catch 22 situation for them and they wouldn't be able to decide to ban it or celebrate it.
-
CNN is reporting that it was an AK-47 (type) rifle. Should I paint my MAK-90 rainbow colors so the anti's wont try to ban it? Oh crap, with that Dragonov stock it's all black also.

So just a carbon copy of what they said earlier.
