I can't form an opinion that i'm 100% certain about, I would have to be on the jury and listen to all the testimony. But, if this becomes a habit of anti-gunners, suing a store or manufacturer for a crime that an individual committed and juries making decisions as a political punishment for a company that makes a legal product then we either have to get just as nasty and low down as they do or just give in. If this becomes their strategy for attacking guns then we need to flood the entire justice system with bogas suits for just about anything, put it into chaos and force a change. "Sometimes" two wrongs eventually do make a right.

Just "WHO" thought of this SIP plan? Could very well be someone who is not a tactical thinker. If my plan sounded better to me that's what i'll do, I wouldn't feel safe in a room packed with people. Now my plan in my imaginary business would be, an employee bonus of a $600 handgun and a training course with a good qualified instructor to also go through the building and figure the best plan for each individual where they are at to secure a safe place behind good cover, be prepared to encounter the shooter if need be, while my best trained security goes on the offense. :) Is that a better plan?

All the Michael Brown supporters need to see this video although it wouldn't do any good. I've seen a few other video's where a perp was shot robbing a store and never flinched, one video one of the robbers was shot in the torso, he just said to his partner "that B!tch shot me" and ran out the door. He finally collapsed about 100 yards down the street and died. I plan to make sure the perp is down for the count and not take my eyes or front sight off them. Of course you will have some idiot bleeding hearts scream about you didn't have to shoot him that many times, why didn't you shoot him in the leg, if you gave up and surrendered to him he would have let you live yadda yadda blaa blaa, I can hear it now. I know the big argument about the .45 vs 9mm and i'm convinced there's not much difference with modern 9mm ammo but .45 ammo is also modernized too. One thing I do feel about the .45 is that as far as handgun ammo effectiveness goes it's still at the top of the list with 9mm or .357mag. so it will do all the job a handgun caliber can. I would like to know what caliber and ammo the armed citizen had and his shot placement. They never report that though.

I was told they were a "bi-metal" base and not aluminum, anyway i'm sure they are less expensive to make than brass. -

I voted NO on that one at least, didn't read the thread in time to vote on the gun poll. The pollsters must not have liked the way the gun poll was going, maybe they need to try it on some San Francisco media web site.

Tennessee gun free dining site works both ways:
K191145 replied to Randall53's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I would hate to offend sheep comparing them to liberals though. :) I suspect that the gun free dining site actually cost restaurants that DON'T allow guns more business than those that DO allow guns. The liberals who actually cared are a small number, the majority of people don't care enough to let that be a decision maker on weather they eat there or not. HCP holders however do care if a restaurant posts so I have used the site a couple of times to make a decision. The OP's title says the site worked both ways but I don't think equally, not what the anti crowd wanted. -
I know of a situation where a guy and his girlfriend, (no names or hints), convicted of felonies and served time, still on probation was living at his mothers house. She had a handgun put away from them. They were arrested again and the house searched. Because they were living in the home they were also charged with a gun crime. The mother wasn't charged. Certain situations, felonies and probation they can't live in a house with a gun in it.

Well, could have started a new thread but I thought it was interesting that the group of anti-gun people who started that website, hoping to take business away from businesses/restaurants that don't discriminate against people who lawfully carry, is out of business themselves so it seems. Either that or a technical glitch in their site. Anyway, as the thread title said, I have used the site to find out what restaurants who DON'T discriminate against me and my gun. I don't believe just because a thread is old it has to die if the subject still has interest. It's also interesting to me at least that their anti-gun efforts were unsuccessful and wasted their time for over a year and a half. Look at the subject, not at the date. Edit: Their Facebook page is pretty dead also, the one and only post was sept. 2013. -

HMMM? wonder what happened here. Could be not enough people really care if a restaurant allows carry. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVrEwCa8nSA -
Europe used to be full of Panthers back in the 30's to mid 40's, they were eventually hunted out of existence.

K191145 replied to StumpyBeagle's topic in General Chat
Well any restaurant that has a no gun policy doesn't have to ask me to leave since I wont be in their building anyway. As far as TGI Friday's, I don't buy their over priced frozen crap from the grocery store either, their quality never impressed me at that price and a box of wings is a serving for a 100lb woman, what a rip off. -
Unless the state is still using AOL dial up, I would "assume" that a criminal/mental health background check would be pretty quick to conduct also, or at least it should be. We are talking about the government, state and federal so that isn't a guarantee but they "should" be able to type, Joe Shmoe Anytown USA, criminal, mental health, record into the state/federal database and get an answer within a minute. Joe Shmoe (No records found), Okay he's clean, renew his permit. I don't have a problem with registering REAL criminals with felonies or people with a history of running down the interstate naked flapping their arms holding two big peacock feathers claiming they are the Bird Of Paradise. Besides, that was over 10 years ago. :hyper:

In actual costs, once the state has a program and database set up, it's hard to imagine that it would cost the state $50 to check on little ol me every 4 years. There has to be a surplus, they didn't have to hire too many extra employees, the state already had them at the DOT.

Hillary Clinton announced new gun-control measures
K191145 replied to The Legion's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Oh I know what they are trying to do but we true, traditional patriotic Americans will have to die off first. It will take many years IF they wish to be successful in disarming America. I wish more people would work to de-brainwash their children from what they are being told in school and college. If they are ever successful I will be a plastic box of ashes by then in the ground. My last wish is to be buried in my Glock case. :) -

So there's about 350 million firearms in circulation right now in the U.S. A few million are on a state registration in states that require a registration. There is no federal universal background check law and no universal background check law in most states. I'll even take the number way down to 300 million firearms right now that are legal to sell through a private sale, no paperwork required, no registration. A federal universal background check law would only affect any new firearm purchase after the law went into affect unless they added a mandatory registration for every firearm and owner in the U.S. and i don't know about anyone else but they can kiss my big hairy arse before I fill out and mail some federal firearms registration form. I suspect that most all here feels the same way. Anyway, there will be 2 to 3 hundred million firearms that they have no way to prove if they were sold legally or not, even if they track a 4473 down, I sold that before the law to Bubba, Bubba sold it to Clem, Clem sold it to Bumadine etc.etc. Any naive person who wants to argue their pro-universal check argument to you, tell them to count to 1 million as fast as they can, then after a few months when they finish counting to 1 million, tell them to do that 100 more times. Then tell them that's 1/3 of the untraceable guns in the U.S. Maybe they will have a sudden flash of logic and see the futility of a universal background check making any difference whatsoever in murders. Well I guess a flash of logic from a gun control liberal is a futile pipe dream, sorry. -
We still need to press the issue of Constitutional carry but you're right about it having little chance of passing, but not impossible in the future. I still think the biggest barricade standing in the way of Constitutional carry would be the loss of revenue the permit system generates. Last I read there are about 480,000 active HCP's in the state and that was some time back, I bet it's close to 500,000 now if not a little more. Even if you don't count the $115 for the initial fee, 1/2 million paying $50 renewal fee to the state generates $25 million in revenue every 4 years. While that may not be much for a state government it's not chump change. I'm assuming the legislature can use that money for anything they want to, I haven't heard or read if permit revenue was specifically delegated to any one department. The number 1 motivator to most all politicians no matter what party they belong to is $$$MONEY$$$. Actually giving up a sweet source of revenue/money is probably one of the most offensive, horrible, evil thoughts a career politician can have. EDIT: Here you go.
