Not impossible though, I was surprised we have Mountain Lions now. I have a strange critter I saw twice on my property, it runs away every time I drive up the driveway. What i'm thinking it is, is someones big fat exotic gray housecat with a bobbed tail, almost looks like a short hair groundhog that runs slow but high up instead of waddling like they do, it almost has a hop in it's run. Like to get a better look at it.

Christie "WILL NOT" win the primary so no worries here. He can't win the south, south west, mid west, or north west. All he could win is some of the north east and maybe California.

Rethinking HCP carry after San Bernadino
K191145 replied to jgradyc's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Truth is, unless anyone has been in a gunfight before they really can't guarantee what they would do, all we can do is hope we would react the right way. I have thought about it a lot, would I try to leave and run for safety or would I try to engage someway. I also wonder how my conscience would handle it if I knew I had a chance to do something to stop a killer but decided to save myself. Odds are I will never find out but since I hate words like probably, and odds are, i'll have a mental plan and carry my Glock everywhere with me. -

We have argued and discussed in many ways with many opinions about what and how to stop the killer bent on killing as many people as they can. We have discussed what handgun, calibers, long guns, body armor, chances and odds, fear and tactics ect.ect. There's one simple fact that can't be disputed, almost all of these killers, weather the Islamic terrorist or the lone psycho were eventually stopped by people with guns, either killed or gave up before being killed. You may be surprised how you would react in a life and death situation, not everybody freezes in fear, take for instance the LEO armed with a handgun at the 1st.Amendment celebration in Texas who took out 2 jihadist with long guns and no decent humans died, I know he had training but he took them out regardless. We have posted stories here before about the 12 year old who killed the thug home invader so even a kid can react correctly. People staying calm and doing the right thing happens a lot, the media just doesn't cover it much. Some people do freeze but not everyone. I've never had anyone try to kill me by shooting at me yet but with 806 skydives I have experienced "death fear" a few times and one in particular was very intense with enough adrenalin that a broken ankle felt like putting my foot in a sauna bath, at first, the pain came later. Anyway since i'm writing this it proves I didn't panic and did the correct thing in the "little" time I had to do it. Don't ever count yourself out, you may just do the right thing and the best way to stop a killer with a gun is for you or someone else to have a gun, first rule in a gun fight, have a gun.

Rethinking HCP carry after San Bernadino

Wouldn't be a bad idea for the next range visit to place a full size human paper target and practice head, neck, inner thigh, knee and ankle shots. While some aren't lethal shots a 9mm or .45 in the knee cap has a chance to suspend their shooting for a second to get a better shot. Now realistically that's very hard to do I know, just saying that body armor shouldn't make anyone give up, the groin and hip area is exposed if it's just a vest only and it's a fairly big target. Of course if it's just a tactical vest then unload in the torso/chest. -

There still is a hell of a lot better chance to take them or one out if you and "OTHERS" are armed than no one armed. They can't point and shoot everyone at once, if they shoot the guy with the Beretta 92 then the woman with the 10mm to the side of the shooters has a chance while the dude with the Glock 21 on the other side can fire at them also. Also I don't believe any terrorists have worn real body armor yet, just tactical vests that don't stop anything. Like I said, they can't shoot everyone at once and even if you die, at least you have a chance to get one before that and that maybe 10 other lives saved. Armed you have a chance at least, unarmed you're simply jihad fodder. -
Have no idea how they can limit ammo sales unless they require a background check on buying ammo and put you in the computer for all gun stores and Walmart to see. Say a 2 box limit? Well just buy 2 boxes at Royal Range, drive 5 miles to Walmart buy 2 more boxes, drive 2 miles to the Sportsman gun store on Charlotte Pk. and buy 2 boxes, drive 1 mile to Dicks, 2 more and so on and so on. I'm not seeing a background check on ammo happening on a national level.

I know it's "highly unlikely" for me to ever encounter a terrorist with a semi-auto long gun, the "most likely" scenario would be a home invasion or a close encounter with some punk thug but I still believe if you can pull off carrying a hefty 9mm or bigger then do it. You are limited with a handgun anyway so you might as well carry the most effective one you can. I would feel uneasy with a compact .380 personally, i'll sometimes throw my SP101 .357mag. in my pocket for walking around the house and yard but out and about it's my G21. Also, we all know Islamic terrorist attacks happen here, also psycho active shooters, they happen to somebody and I don't like words like, "highly unlikely", "probably", "most likely", "should be" etc. No one wants to hear the airplane mechanic tell the pilot, that fuel leak "probably" wont get any worse through this flight. I heard that once. -

I've been toting around a Glock 21 forever, I had a thought about a 41, that little bit of extra barrel length I have read, gives the 41 some extra FPS. Some 230+p at 1000+ FPS would add some distance. Then there's the 10mm which i'm not familiar with but a lot of people like. Just thinking of the best fighting handgun not considering concealability with as much punch as you can control. Of course if you really want some longer distance, 100 to 200 yards with real serious punch just go ahead and carry a Ruger Super Redhawk in .454 Cassull loaded with some 300 grainers, don't matter if they're HP or not, and good red dot sight. Of course i'm not really serious about that unless you hike in bear country a lot. -
http://www.latimes.com/nation/politics/la-na-obama-gun-order-20151203-story.html I personally will not recognize any executive law this Fascist dictator orders, I will sell or buy a gun from whom I want to, when I want to. He can order in one hand and sh!t in the other and see which one fills up first.

I don't give a crap about what they want to believe in, I can't tolerate them using their beliefs to murder innocent people. It's as simple as that.
-
Here comes the EXCUSES for Islamic murder.
-
It's still obvious to people who live in reality it was a Muslim terrorist attack no matter how they want to spin it, i've said before that the left hates traditional American patriots more than they do muslim terrorists. They will put their usual spin, defense and excuses for the Muslim terrorist attack that happened yesterday because we know what it actually is and they flat out refuse to be wrong. As long as someone they love or care about isn't murdered by a Muslim terrorist it's no skin off their back, their political ideology is far more important to them.
-
Well I don't own an assault weapon, I just own a semi-auto MAK-90 and hopefully in the future a semi-auto AR and 5 or 10 high capacity magazines. And I think i'll keep them.
-
Maybe start teaching their followers to tolerate other religions, and that murdering them because they don't believe what they do is wrong. That would be a start.

Bought cheapo A.Z. belts a couple of years ago only to have them replaced with Gates a year later because of stretching. The extra money is worth it in the long run.

Don't worry, been there done that. At least you caught the mistake and corrected it which proves you're NOT a liberal. :)

They are describing their apartment as an IED factory. Perhaps Jihad Jo and Jihad Jane had another planed target but he changed it for some reason like, maybe he saw a better and easier opportunity to kill more infidels, and having a "CHRISTMAS" celebration, a christian holiday made him angry as a devout Muslim. Some thought it was a strange target at first but it was actually the perfect target, it doesn't matter what the event really is just so long as they can kill a large crowded group of infidels trapped in a room or building. The fact that there was a Christmas celebration made it all better to the Muslim terrorist. Home grown ISIS inspired or foreign infiltrators, it's still Islamic terrorism, no difference. I'll spare everyone the photo of the female dog this time.

Just wondering, if the news and the FBI are telling us not to jump to conclusions that this is an Islamic terror attack, then why are these Muslims holding a press conference now? Wonder if they are attempting to calm some people down before they announce this was an Islamic terror attack.

Either that or Hillary will claim they were mad at a video about global warming.
