  1. Well I recieved a personal e-mail from my Rep. Phillip Johnson today, much more than many legislators would do.
  2. Thanks. She's building a new sun room on her house, I have a feeling she's going to hit me up for some electric and duct work though.
  3. Very nice indeed.
  4. I once said that my Mosin Nagant was the best value for my money, $65. I beat that today, I've been bugging my sister about buying a Makarov she had, she had recently expressed she wanted to sell it. Today me and her and my nefew went to the range today to shoot pistols, rifles, and shotguns and she told me she had a special brothers price for the Makarov. $5. The cost of the permit fee for the range. My new toy. Did I get a heck of a deal or what?
  5. Thanks, I just wanted to make it a useful gun again. There's no Snake Charmer stocks to be found on the internet in my searches. It needs some more sanding, that Chinese wood is hard to get smooth.
  6. Right now I think many of the Democratic house reps, especially in gun friendly states after seeing the big surge in gun sales and remembering 1994, know any anti-gun legislation would be very unpopular in their districts. But I am sure that the Obama administration and Fruline Pelosie will attempt some sort of gun control legislation in the future with their Chicago and San Francisco mentality.
  7. I guess I have too much time on my hands. I have a .410 Snake Charmer and broke the cheap plastic stock and cutting it off to a pistol grip would make the overall length too short so I had an old painted SKS stock and with a little Dremel work and a 1/4" coupling and all thread I made a stock for it. I know it angles down alot but it actually is perfect the way the barrel lines up with my eyes. That's a MAK-90 recoil pad. I guess that make this an assualt weapon.
  8. I used this to calculate it. Percentage Calculator
  9. My Rep. Phillip Johnson is also a co-sponser of this bill. I need to e-mail him and thank him for his support of this and all the gun bills passed. Here's the link of the co-sponsers. Tennessee General Assembly Legislation click on "co prime sponsers" upper left of page.
  10. This could be confusing not knowing if your local/city government has voted to ban guns in the park. I guess we small towners should pay more attention to our local legislation no matter how boring that could be.
  11. I wonder if they are going to change the rules sign at local parks to remove the "No Firearms" language. I know that if the Kingston Springs government votes to ban them I will never attend any event or support the two city parks here.
  12. This is what FOX 17 is reporting tonight. WZTV FOX 17/Nashville
  13. I want all the bills to pass but this was the one I wanted the most since I always carry when I'm out.
  14. When someone saw you with a blue thumb they knew you either just bought a gun or voted in the Iraqi election.
  15. I know that when you join the military you agree to forfeit some rights like freedom of speech, (can't speak negativly about your commanders etc.) and privacy rights on base but the soldier is still an American citizen and his/her home and property off base is still protected by the Constitution. Besides that, their off base home is sometimes shared by their spouses or parents who are not in the military and they can't legally infringe upon their rights. Private firearm ownership off base is none of the military's business. Granted they might think it is.
  16. Hi tnmedic. Yes it seems that he has it all tuned up now, I can't wait to shoot it, I guess he's not going to the range today since he's working.
  17. He said he shot one clip through it the day after he bought it at the gun show and it would'nt shoot the second clip he tried. That's all he told me. He knew how to field strip it, I told him to clean and lube it good, he probably didn't. My video problem may have something to do with AOL desktop. I have Comcast but I use AOL desktop to keep my old e-mail addresses. I'm having problems with AOL desktop today, I can't even bring up my favorite web sites.
  18. Back in 1980, I brought my 870 Wingmaster to the base at Ft. Stewart Ga. They had to register and keep it at the armory and issue me a weapons card for it. I had to sign it out just like my M16A2.
  19. He took it to a gun smith last week, he said all it needed was a good cleaning. Seems to shoot fine now. I'm going to the range this week at the wildlife managment area in Cheatham Co. with him, it will be the first time for me shooting a Garand.
  20. Well I'm glad, thanks for informing me. Videos that others post works for me, it's just strange that the ones I post don't work when I try to view them.
  21. 278 out of 220,000 is 0.12636363636363637 %. Not a bad record for permit holders. The first video locked up after a while but I'm glad he mentioned the 40 other states that allow permit holders to carry in establishments that serve alcohol with no problems. Thank you Senator Jackson, and I also have to thank WKRN channel 2 for interviewing him and giving our side a chanch to be heard.
  22. I hope Serpas is embarrased, he seems to think he speaks for every metro cop in Nashville and would probably punish any who gave a different opinion than his.
  23. Dang it, I keep getting error reports everytime I post a video. Try this link. Edit: Sorry, it seems I'm not very good at posting YouTube video's on this forum.
