  1. I believe as time goes by in this administration and the economy worsens, and the federal govt. takes over, regulates, and sticks it's big federal nose into private businesses, more jobs lost and the crime rate increases, (bad economy=jobs lost=increase overall crime rate), more of the general public will wake up, get fed up and take a stand against the federal government. We are already seeing this movement grow with the tea parties and states declaring soveriegnty. (NO, it's not toothless either). The more the federal government tries to control the more the people will resist in the future and I believe it can be done without everyone taking their arms to the street and building sandbag bunkers at McDonalds waiting for the military or UN to attack. I do believe Obama will attempt some sort of gun control but it will be met with alot of resistance and if they are sucessfull it will only affect new sales so it may be a good idea to go and buy what you may want right now. As far as the government ordering individual citizens to turn in their guns or specific guns, I believe they know or will find out that would be a futile endevor on their part.
  2. Cool, that's alot of options. Knowing me I would probably keep it in the .50GI configuration for home defense. Never know when that rouge bear might come into your yard.
  3. My Rep is already on board with it.
  4. Admittedly she's a dangerous woman but she would be replacing Souter who's not much better. Better him than Kennedy. Maybe some of the Democratic Reps and Senators from the more conservative states will oppose her. Her being a Hispanic, there's always a danger of the far leftest in the legislator throwing out the race card if some Democratic legislators oppose her and intimidating them. She can't be any worse than Darth Vader Ginsberg or Vladimere Stevens.
  5. I checked out the Wolff Springs website and I believe they have one for a 10-22 that's a little stronger. http://www.gunsprings.com/RifleShotgun/Ruger_RsNF.html#10/22
  6. I made a forearm for it out of the old SKS stock, it looks better at a distance. That's all I'm going to do to it except shoot it some.
  7. It's a year old and I haven't shot it much yet but that's about to change. Maybe a break in peroid is needed. I tend to take too many guns to the range so I don't concentrate on just one or two guns. I removed most of the paint with steel wool, figured it was comming off anyway. The trick I found to get the bolt to snap back on to the charging handle is to say the right cuss words after the 5th attempt.
  8. I shot a few mags of ammo through my 10-22 the other day, the cheap milk carton Federal ammo, and had several malfunctions from the first mag, then it improved with the second factory 10 round mag and 1 jam in the plastic 27 round mag. When I cleaned it I noticed gouges in the black paint inside the reciever at the top so I took some steel wool and buffed inside the reciever and all the black paint came off very easily at the top. I got the surface real smooth, the paint is still there on the sides of the inside of the reciever but a smooth surface now. I also buffed down the bolt. I haven't shot it since. Any suggestions on what more I can do? I know the ammo isn't the best but I'm going to shoot it all up, then buy better ammo in the future. Also is there a replacement spring that would be better?
  9. I would think the rifle explosion would have done the most damage to the fore arm of the person firing it.
  10. I don't think Bredesen wants the embarrassment of an over ride.
  11. My Stoeger Uplander sxs with 3" mag 4B pellets. Didn't pull both triggers at the same time thank God but I rapid fired them, BAM BAM. That was before I installed a recoil pad so it had the plastic butt plate. Cut my middle finger knuckle on the first trigger and had a bad bruise on my shoulder, so bad I couldn't shoot a .22LR off it for a week. Also I remember launching 40mm grenades 300yds from a M-203 attached to an M-16A2, and that kicked but were fun as hell to shoot.
  12. I'm not sure what brand of ammo he's using but he plans to buy some CMP ammo in loaded clips in bandeleros. I assume that's WW2 to Korean war era. I saw R. Lee Ermy on Mail Call shoot a device made for a 1903 Springfield to make it a semi-auto, it had special WW1 .30 caliber ammo for it and every round went bang without a malfunction.
  13. I'm assuming the legislator would still have time to over ride a veto in time for the June 1st date, that is if Bredesen sat on the bill till the 9th day then vetoed it. I don't see him pulling a stunt like that but if he did I'll volunteer to help someone in a campaign for a recall election of the Governor.
  14. I haven't checked the prices of the compacts but I'm sure they're up there.
  15. LMAO. Not very good for south paw gang bangers is it?
  16. Yep, we are always helping each other out for one thing or another.
  17. So what do you think about MAK-90's? I don't have any experience with any other AK types but I've put I know close to 3000 rounds through my MAK-90 and it's never failed. I paid $450 for it many moons ago.
  18. You may be closer to Gun City on Murfreesboro Rd. I would call first to check on their 9mm stock. Be prepared to pay a hefty price even for target FMJ's.
  19. Today when I went to the range in the Cheatham Co. WMA, I removed the mag from my Glock when I entered the area and re-inserted it on the range to shoot. When I left I had a loaded mag but not in the pistol until I left the boundry of the WMA. But during deer season you can hunt there with a type 94 licence so when you step out of your vehicle you can load your hunting rifle or handgun on the area to hunt. ARRRRGGGGGGGG#&^%#!*&. WMR's need to be covered somehow.
  20. 2 sets of all fingers. That's a good way to get busted picking your nose.
  21. The way I've always understood this was that permit holders could have their gun on school property as long as they are picking their kids up, short stay, and keep it in the car. Something to that effect.
  22. Yea, I get hit up for that kind of work often but she's family. I'm making my nefew crawl under the house though to run the wires. I've already done my share of crawl spaces.
  23. She's single. I did sell her a Rossie 971 in .357 magnum many years ago when she had no guns for $75. It was no S&W but it's a shooter, she still has that one. Her first gun she bought about 30 years ago was a Colt Huntsman semi auto in .22LR. She wishes she still had that one, those are collecter pieces.
  24. Have you checked out some of the compact Kimbers?
