  1. It still wont matter to some of the hard core anti's. Proof, facts and stats have no place in their opinion. A year from now when there's no wild west shootouts in restaurants by HCP holders, mabey they will print that.
  2. Good one.
  3. I was surprised that Channel 5 printed it.
  4. A well known name doesn't always guarentee a great firearm. One of the worst I've owned was a new Colt Magnum Carry, a snub nose .357 magnum. It was the only revolver i've owned that actually jammed. Really the cylinder would lock up, fairly often and it wasn't due to the ammo being too long, it was internal. I traded it to a dealer after a few months of buying it, even telling him of the problem. That was back in the early 90's, I think Colt was getting a few quality complaints then.
  5. I have to give a thumbs up to Channel 5 for actually printing the story. I guess they could have just ignored the information.
  6. It's kind of an ongoing joke. When you first get your permit you're nervous about carrying and being seen, so Wallyworld is the permit break in place for newbys.
  7. I believe that clown did something to loose his permit. He's the kind of person that goes out of their way to start controversy.
  8. What will the anti's do now? Gun Bill Effect on Parks Seems Minimal - NewsChannel5.com | Nashville News, Weather & Sports
  9. My brother has one of those he got from his late father in law, never been shot and never will. I've seen toy guns made better than that, it truely is a POS but he's keeping it as a novelty. I even think a Crip or a Blood would reject that pistol.
  10. I'll answer my first question. Natchez Trace Parkway - Laws and Policies (U.S. National Park Service)
  11. I haven't even thought about it lately but just to be sure, we can carry while driving down the Natchez Trace Pky. now? Also when I go to the range at the Cheatham County WMA/Game Reserve, I don't have to unload my handgun and store the ammo away from my reach when I enter the area?

    Ruger SP101 Review

That's the grip I have on mine, a little bigger than factory but still no problem to conceal, definatly noticable in absorbing recoil better. I've been threatening to replace the factory hammer spring with a lighter one for an easier pull, the factory pull is pretty strong, I guess for liability. One thing about the SP 101, although it has a kick shooting full house .357s, you'll never wear it out. It's the absolute toughest/strongest snubbie on the market.
  13. Well I got lazy last week and mailed it off, I already got the letter so that was quick. I would think they would prefer people mail it to reduce traffic at the DL centers. Once they have your application, and you're already in the system you would think renewal would be alot faster than a first time permit. I've had mine sisce 98 and renewals only took a month so far, I'll see how long mailing takes.
  14. Bloomberg claimed he was a Republican at one time, I didn't know there were some members that would vote for him just because he had an ® after his name. It's called, not compromising your principals.
  15. I'ts not throwing my vote away, it's a perfectly good,(none of the above) vote. In 2008 I cheapened my principals some to vote for McCain, I will not do that this time. There may be pressure on some in the House and Senate to fall in line with Haslam so the theory that he will "act right" may be the reverse. I will not cheapen my principals this time and vote for Haslam because he claims there's an ® in front of his name.
  16. I'm thinking that also, maybe if he got enough votes to even be mentioned it would embarrass some Tennesseans. It would be a protest vote which is still a vote saying we think the choices for Governor are jokes, so we are going to vote for our own joke. One things for sure, I will NOT vote for Haslam or Son of Ned.
  17. What it is, is that a majority of voters in Tennessee are LAZY DUPES. They will swallow what they see the most on the boob tube without doing any real research on the candidates, so the candidate who is the multi-millionair can spend over $15 million of his own money in commercials can buy their vote. I will absolutly NOT vote for that phony rino Haslam in November. I will write in a candidate knowing full well they don't have a chance.
  18. Just to be on the safe side, I think I will go ahead and go to the DL center. Might as well get my DL renewed also even though it's not due for another year.
  19. This may have been addressed in another thread but, does anyone renew their HCP by mail or just go to the DL testing center? I've always gone to the DL center because I had to renew my DL along with my permit but this time my permit is due a year before my DL. My permit is due 10-28-10 and I was thinking about mailing it but I wont have the reciept that acts as my permit if they don't renew it before October. Just asking for suggestions.
  20. If I wanted to buy your 4 weeler, I'll buy it buy individual parts like building your own AR. The only difference is I don't believe there's nothing that says those parts have to be disassembled. Buy the tires, then the engine, then the seat etc. etc.
  21. I'll take this post as a sarcastic joke.
  22. With federal judges ruling that illegals can cross the border and roam freely to commit crimes in the state, I hope everyone in Arizona, except the liberals, buys a handgun and carries it. I wish we could have a Governor with the cohoonas that your Governor has.
  23. Oh I will vote, been voting since I was 24. That doesn't mean I will vote for Haslam or McWherter, a write in vote is still a vote. I have in the past held my nose and voted, like for McCain but sometimes the stench is just too great to even do that.
  24. There would be no difference between Haslam and Son of Ned, it would probably be easier for the House and Senate to decide to override McWherters vetos than it would be Haslams.
  25. I'm a little suspicious about their poll, there were plenty of news polls that never were talked about by the media that showed that either people favored the right of CCW holders to carry in restaurants, or just didn't care if they did or not. Besides, I would think if someone looses their permit because they were caught drinking and carrying, the gunaphobes would like that. Just the leftest media trying to beat a dead horse again.
