  1. Sounds like a plan. Pick the time and place.
  2. Amazing how some people are able to find their way to work in the mornings. Oh well, what do you expect for 7-8 dollars an hour.
  3. e-gunparts.com (Numrich (sp?)) Brownells. Maybe Midway.
  4. Limit 1000 @ $28.69 + $22.50 Haz Mat. Think I'll pass.
  5. I have a SIS 5" and love it. Only malfunction was using Magtech after shooting about 50 rounds of Remington. I had 2 or 3 failure to return to batteries. When I checked them later, I found the Magtechs to be .003" larger (case dia.). I take this to mean that the chamber is of such close tolerances that changing ammo's in mid-match (IDPA) is not a good idea. It runs fine on Magtech's, just not after some other brand has fouled the chamber.
  6. Wonder if Hero-Gear is going to be the local distributor?
  7. I'd put my money on a muskrat. They live in stream/creek banks an are quite a bit smaller than a beaver. Groundhogs can get pretty large (15+ lbs.) and aren't that fond of water.
  8. IMO, if you have not been ajudicated or committed, you should be perfectly legal. The fact that you are asking/concerned is proof that you are a responsible and stable person. If everyone who has suffered from some form of depression was prevented from owning a firearm, there wouldn't be many of us who could legally own or carry.
  9. The compact has officers frame (7 shot mag). The pro has full size frame (8 shot mag). Both have the commander sized slide and barrel (4.25"). Main difference is concealability of the smaller grip (compact). Slow typer, HexHead beat me to it.
  10. With a LOT of help from Texas Congressman Charlie Wilson and the CIA, who supplied them with modern weapons (stinger missiles) and a lot of cash and training.
  11. I just found $2.00 in my pants pocket. Wondering were I might find that .50 cent Garand???
  12. Welcome and enjoy.

    Snake!

I know about the eyes and pits, but I'll be damned if I'm going to get close enough to look. I'll bet you see a LOT of copperheads on Signal.
  14. Or in a closed glove box. Not under seat. Has to require 2 or more motions to retrieve the pistol. Under seat would be one motion. At least that was the GA law 8 years ago.
  15. I have one on my Sig 556. It is very accurate and consistent (compared to the cheapy I had on it) The 1-3x is fine out to 100+ yds. and I like the mil-dot better than crosshairs for fast acquisition. My only dislike is the price, but from previous experience, I've learned that you get what paid for and with Leupold Mk4's you do have to pay.
  16. About the only thing I have seen recommended by holster manufacturers is LEXOL leather conditioner.
  17. The ammo seems reasonably priced. :D Somali Cruise Package I found a Somali cruise package that departs from Sawakin (in the Sudan) and docks at Bagamoya (in Tanzania). The cost is a bit high @ US$800 per person double occupancy but I didn't find that offensive. What I found enticing is that the cruise company is encouraging people to bring their 'High powered weapons' along on the cruise. If you don't have weapons you can rent them right there on the boat. They claim to have a master gunsmith on board and will have reloading parties every afternoon. The cruise lasts from 4-8 days and nights and costs a maximum of $3200 per person double occupancy (4 days). All the boat does is sail up and down the coast of Somalia waiting to get hijacked by pirates. Here are some of the costs and claims associated with the package. M-16 full auto rental $ 25.00/day ammo at 100 rounds of 5.56 armor piercing ammo at $15.95 Ak-47 riffle @ No charge. ammo at 100 rounds of 7.62 com block ball ammo at $14.95 Barrett M-107 50 cal sniper riffle rental $55.00/day ammo at 25 rounds 50 cal armor piercing at $9.95 Crew members can double as spotters for $30.00 per hour (spotting scope included). They even offer RPG's at 75 bucks and 200 dollars for 3 standard loads "Everyone gets use of free complimentary night vision equipment and coffee and snacks on the top deck from 7pm-6am." Meals are not included but seem reasonable. Most cruises offer a mini-bar . . . these gung ho entrepreneurs offer . . . get this . . . "MOUNTED MINIGUN AVAILABLE @ 450.00 per 30 seconds of sustained fire" Sign me up! They advertise group rates and corporate discounts . . . and even claim "FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY" They even offer a partial money back if not satisfied . . . here's some text from the ad: "We guarantee that you will experience at least two hijacking attempts by pirates or we will refund back half your money including gun rental charges and any unused ammo (mini gun charges not included). How can we guarantee you will experience a hijacking? We operate at 5 knots within 12 miles of the coast of Somalia. If an attempted Hijacking does not occur we will turn the boat around and cruise by at 4 knots. We will repeat this for up to 8 days making three passes a day along the entire length of Somalia. At night the boat is fully lit and bottle rockets are shot off at intervals and loud disco music beamed shore side to attract attention. Cabin space is limited so respond quickly. Reserve your package before April 29 and get 100 rounds of free tracer ammo in the caliber of your choice." As if all that isn't enough to whet your appetite, there were a few testimonials "I got three confirmed kills on my last trip. I'LL never hunt big game in Africa again. I felt like the Komandant in Schindlers list!"---- Lars, Hamburg Germany "Six attacks in 4 days was more than I expected. I bagged three pirates and my 12 yr old son sank two rowboats with the minigun. PIRATES 0 -PASSENGERS-32! Well worth the trip. Just make sure your spotter speaks English" ----Ned, Salt Lake city, Utah USA "I haven't had this much fun since flying choppers in NAM. Don't worry about getting shot by pirates as they never even got close to the ship with those weapons they use and their poor aim--reminds me of a drunken 'juicer' door gunner we picked up from the motor pool back in Nam" ----"chopper' Dan, Toledo USA. "Like ducks in a barrel. They turned the ship around and we saw them bleed and cry in the water like little girls. Saw one wounded pirate eaten by sharks--what a laugh riot! This is a must do. ---Zeke-Minnahaw Springs Kentucky USA
  18. Probably in a high level supervisory position.
  19. Wonder how many people jumped on the .380 ammo for only $50/50 rnds.
  20. I prefer Max Factor in a natural shade.
  21. How many people like us do you know who don't have at least 10 times as much ammo today than they had last year?

    Ruger .22 Mark II

I think everyone has that problem. It does seem to be more prevalent with gators though. I haven't taken mine apart in several years for that very reason. If I recall, the best way for me was to hold it upside down (overhead) to keep the spring in alignment.
  23. What kind of guns do you have?
