I've used turpentine on my boots & clothes. Not a whole quart, just dampen a rag and wipe over clothes and boots. If there are pines in the area, it's a pretty natureal scent. Heard/read about this 20+ years ago. Doesn't get much play, since there's not much money to be made telling people to buy a $2 pint of turpentine every 2 or 3 years.
